@mrmattyboy, therw are 2 kinds of thus electromagnetic doors, one that activates with dc current, and one with 12 ac current, i used the AC one cos its cheeper, this electromagnetic lock is thw one used in the buildings door
@1RandomVids1 the tone APIs i made it with 2 different sets of frequency, i dont remember the values exactly but you could try 3 Khz and 4 Khz, and i call what i want from it, :)
How does the door actually open? Is it a motor, electromagnet?
Because i am making an electronic door lock for a GCSE school project and i have a circuit with keypad etc but i dont know how to use that to open the door/ keep it locked.
I've got an electromagnetic lock like this, but with a magnetic card reader for access. I have LED for visual lock status, but I want a typical door lock buzzer, like yours. What type is the buzzer that you're using?
@titanum911 Niice, If you could give me an example, I'd really appreciate it. And is it wrong that I recognized that you were watching friends, and recognized the exact episode within 4 seconds of watching it for the first time??? :L Thanks
@KitCloudkickerUK yes i can buy it but it's very cool if you could do it yourself :), and about the 9 V battery ... luckily the 9 Volt trick is not gonna work for this kind of lock.. what you need is a 12 AC volt peak to peak to bypass it :)

@mrmattyboy NO for this i didn't use a Buzzer i just used an ordinary speaker and designed some APIs for different tones :), it's easy really :)

Why did You make Your own?, Codelocks are cheap enough, You could have saved yourself the trouble of improvising.
1 problem, a 9v battery could bypass this codelock.
