  • This is an amazing performance of one of my favorite Queen songs Ever! Thank You Very Much!

  • I have been using this video as a lesson in how to play this song. I now have credit for 43,529 views of this video...

  • Correction...I meant that if you wish to be included in the org. you must join. It's not an automatic thing.

  • Mensa is an organization of people in the upper 2% of intelligence. If you qualify, you must join the group. Many have Mensa qualifications but don't join for what ever reason. Brian doesn't give much heed to IQ's and other intelligence measuring means.

  • playing a colombian tiple!!! XD

  • Brians voice makes me shiver every time! Perfect.

  • rhooooooooooooooooo i try to play this song !!!!!!! and i like it^^

  • This man is a deep thinker and has a deep soul! Queen was his vehicle of expression!

  • Saudades das décadas de 70 e 80.

  • @TachieBillano happens to me all the time, especially with queen songs. this week it's been "some day, one day"

  • He's got a doctorate, doesn't he?

  • @charmingasalways Yeah hes an astrophysicist

  • @TheHinojos16 mensa?

  • @charmingasalways I dont think hes a mensa

  • @TheHinojos16 what's a Mensa?

  • If you have an interest in physics, astrophysics or astronomy Brian May has returned to his career in Astrophysics and is now writing a colomn for Astronomy magazine he has only released one so far because he just started but they will now doubt be excellent go subscribe now!!

  • I love this song alot on acustic

  • thanks a lot for sharing this clip!!

  • excelente

  • Longlasting voice buddy

  • I can't help, I start to cry :/

  • @lilithhardrock - you want to cry then listen to who want to live forever

  • Can't listen to Queen without crying, DAMMIT EVERY TIME

  • @MarlosZappa: Me? I get a stubborn case of "LSS" (what I call "Last Song Syndrome") with nearly every Queen song I listen to. It lasts for about a week, playing over and over in my head. It ends only when my brain hears another Queen song--and starts the LSS running all over again. Damnit, LOL.

  • Brian May: The best music-to-physics ratio in a human being.

  • Best Acoustic Version Ever Brian man.. you still got it man.

  • this is timeless

  • still sounds the same!:] well done!

  • I love you Brian!

  • Brian May is proof that astrophysics totally rocks.

  • I do love this song.

  • Mercury, May, Taylor and Deacon 4 of the greatest men of the world!!!

    I love them!!!!!!!!!

  • its a 12 string guitar xP

  • Brian you are wonderful! Loved you since the 70's~beautiful song!!

Wish I was there with ya my friend!! ; )

  • Don't forget Deacon!

  • @ImTheOncomingStorm11 John Deacon wrote (arguably) one of Queen's best songs. Well, maybe not best, but most recognizable: Another One Bites the Dust. John is a bass guitarist, not a bass player. You can hear him noodling along on the bass all through Dragon Attack off The Game.

  • Queen without Brian May is not Queen!!

He's the best!! Mora important than Freddie

  • lovin' brians shirt

  • @thedivinecomedy100

Are you open to insults? Ok.

It's a free man and does what he wants to do, do not sentence people interested in it from another part of the world, which is not suitable for anything else, just to sit at the computer and out stupidity. Perhaps you yourself do something worthwhile, rather than judge others and is still in such a way? It's pathetic.

Brian May is an amazing man, not a slave to the past, does what she wants, puts the heart in many projects. I praise him for it.

  • Without Freddie Mercury and Brian May there'd be no Queen.

  • @Thespidey665 Without John Deacon there would be no Queen in America. Deacon wrote a large number of Queen's U.S. hits. Didn't sing 'em, but he wrote 'em!

  • @chfpontiac Also true.

  • Brian... ^____^ I adore him and I love this song!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

  • Brian´s Voice Is So Sweet :)

  • Brian's got such a beautiful voice, it's so mature and deep.

  • I don't understand why he wasn't the lead singer of Queen!? GREAT!!! LOL

  • Brian May is the shit

  • @sachterhof You are shit, you stupid faggot

  • @irinayugiohfan why would you say that to me you asshole? I don't know where the fuck you are from but in American slang, saying, "Brian May is the shit" is a good thing. It means I think he's top tits, he's awesome, he's the best at what he does. Obviously you know nothing.

  • In my top 10 queen songs of all time. One of my favorite bands ever. Great version.

  • simple but awesome

  • Best song ever written about Special Relativity!

  • @TarSpartan Isn't it the only? xD Is there another musician besides Doctor Brain May smart enough to write about it?

  • @TarSpartan ...took me 28 yrs to figure out just what the hell this song was about and still don't understand it, but have LOVED the music since '77!

  • @roosterinboro don't feel bad -- I have an astrophysics degree (technically completed before our beloved Dr. Bri), but it still took me years to figure out that the song was about relativity!

  • Fantastic Brian!!!!

  • wow same guitar he used at wembley back in 86

  • Right back in 2006, I used to work in a cafe in london and never forget the day Brian May came in: tall, with a leather waistcoat. My Colombian friend on the cashier next to me, who wasn't really into rock, served him very pleased. I just watched the whole scene paralised and smiled. After Brian May left, I asked the girl if she knew who that man was, if she liked Queen, and she just said "No, but someone with this hairstyle has to be an artist!". hahaha that was a nice day

  • @tmzasso did you talk to him??

  • Happy Birthday Bri !!!

  • Happy Birthday Dr. Brian May.!

  • Happy B-day Brian! :D

  • today,64 years ago born a legend...happy birthay brian ,,,

  • Happy Birthday :D

    Hero!

  • Happy Birthday, Dr. May!

  • Happy Birthday Brian! We love you so much! ♥ You're the best guitarist ever. THE BEST

  • Happy Birthday Brian !

  • Brian, you make the rockin' world go round! Happy Birthday to one of the greatest guitarists in the world, and THE coolest rock guitarist-astrophysicist-pianist-writer EVER.

  • Happy Birthday, Brian!

  • i hate when things changes and people get older, i feel like this song describe my love for the old and same.

  • Brian expected this one to be released as a single, but the record company refused. He was pissed off, rightly so, because it would have made him a LOT of money.

  • @Frt666. I agree with you on both points, but I always enjoyed Brian's vocals. He is not as great a singer as Freddie, but his voice has such a cool quality.

  • Thumbs up i you think this is the saddest song ever wrote!

  • Poor Brian May. As much as he is a God in the guitars, he is visibly getting older and older. :[

  • @MisterMercattor - why "poor Brian"? He still plays well, he looks healthy and happy. Everyone ages, it's nothing to fear or pity. Someday you'll discover that it is happening to you as well, even as you deny it.

  • Lovely!! thanks!!

  • 3 people can suck it.

  • 3 people are deaf

  • BRIAN MAY IS IN THE SAME COMPANY AS A 'MICHAEL SCHENKER' TYPE PLAYER

  • One of the best songs ever written

  • guitarists! how do you call the technique or style which he uses in the vamp/riff at the very beginning? he plays melody but also has chords, what do i need to have lessons on if i would like to play songs like this?

  • @jlaci all he is doing is altering the chords slightly (like playing a D sus2 or a D sus4 instead of a D ECT) to get the melody note within the chord appart from 0:06 where he hits single notes and pulls off to the open string. i guess all you would have to learn is more chord extensions

  • I paused my porn to watch this!

  • @harlanronald LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • @harlanronald thats the first comment i ever gave a thumbs up to.

  • @harlanronald same

  • do not understand how, having such a good voice Brian, is not the lead singer of Queen, instead of PR

no entiendo como Brian con esa voz, no sea el vocalista de queen en lugar q' PR

  • when i hear this song i almost cry of happiness^^

  • i started playing guitar a year ago and i know i will never ever be as good as Brian May but if i could at least be 1/50000 as talented as him my life would be perfect

  • osim i love it

  • @YvesTaylor It is amazing!!!!

  • Beautiful song. Love to see Brian pull out that battered old and cracked Ovation and it sound as good as ever!!

  • @iriegnome It would be even better if it was...say...IN TUNE!

  • Your a fuckin idiot..!

  • one of my favourites.! i LOVE it more than words can describe.

  • i didn't realise how well he sings until now!!!!!

  • What Guitar is this one?

    thanx

  • his live version is better

  • nossa, adorei este vídeo. eu amo a música, é uma de minhas favoritas do queen, e o Brian... nossa, tanta emoção ele cantando... muita saudade do Freddie Mercury

  • little performance i think, you can be better.

  • this is one of their best songs!

  • damn in 92' in the freddy mercury tribute he used the same guitar.

  • Gracias Maestro...

  • 3 people didn't sail out into the blue.

  • Tak bezwątpienia Brian jest najlepszy ten głos i te umięjętności

  • LOVE IT

  • Eu concordo plenamente que o Queen não seria o mesmo sem o Brian. O Freddie, também, nunca teria atingido o estrelato sem o Brian. Mas, venhamos, não é a toa que a segunda voz do Queen era a do Roger...

  • He is by far one of the most underappreciated guys in the music buisness. Don't get me wrong Freddie was a legend but without Brian May there would be no Queen.

  • @BEBEFAS Freddie, were he still with us,would be the first to say that without all four of them-Brian,Roger,John,and himself-there would be no Queen.I agree with you,of course! :) And this is the song that took me beyond just enjoying the singles I heard on the radio.I was reading a book in which travel at just a bit less than speed-of-light was a reality, and the consequences which Brian describes were spot-on.When I heard the song I said 'HE KNOWS'! Was a fan from that day forward. No regrets.

  • @BEBEFAS every single one member of queen is underestimated and they all are simply perfect

  • @BEBEFAS And that there is no Queen without Freddie proofs the Paul Rodgers project. I think both - Freddie and Brian - made Queen that thing they were. One of the best bands in the world. Though I prefer HardRock as my favourite style of music I saw each and every concert of Queen performed close enough to my hometown. Cause they were legend!!! I really like Brian. But he would be much more underrated if there wouldn`t have been Freddie. Just my humble oppinion....

  • @BEBEFAS but brian is a legend 2

  • @BEBEFAS Don't get me wrong, but that's how all giants of rock got so giant. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen... Every single member was exceptional in at least few ways. Take May - great composer, guitarist and vocalist. He might not be as technically gifted as Page, but he's surely as good as Gilmour... And Jimmy never sung ;).

  • @BEBEFAS The whole band was a match made in heaven. No fights, no internal struggles, no drug abuse, no royalty arguments. Just 4 very talented guys who each excelled in a musical instrument as well as singing and songwriting. Too bad Freddie died way too soon and John decided to retire. Queen would no doubt still exist and probably even outlive the Rolling Stones as longest-lived band.

  • @Yuregenu Well I wouldn't go so far as to say 'no fights'. They've all admitted (and Freddie did while he was alive), that they fought A LOT. But like most great bands their fights were about the music, and they made a point to not fight in public.

  • @BEBEFAS Same goes for Deacy or Roger Taylor though

  • @BEBEFAS Totally agree. People don't seem to appreciate him as much which is just sad. :(

  • Why do Google ruin things with pop up adds? I never asked for adverts from them!!!

  • truly agenius at his craft.....magnificent.........

  • Just a genius, jammin' it out. May he never be stopped and keep on stunning audiences.

  • wow

  • You say Lady Gaga, I say The Doors

You say Hannah Montana, I say The Rolling Stones

You say Owl City, I say Led Zeppelin

You say Jonas Brothers, I say The Beatles

You say Justin Bieber, I say Queen

You say Taylor Swift, I say AC/DC

95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up, then copy & paste it to at least five videos. Don't let the spirit of rock and roll die

  • This should have been the theme to Star Trek: Enteprise

  • just a beautiful, tactful, and purposeful performance

    bravo

  • Brians siging is WAY underrated, that was beautiful, easily as good as the album version, probably better TBH

  • brian is a real guitar god

  • those 2 peaple that dont like this you dont know music at all

  • brian may is a idol

  • I like more this version than the original.

  • Best Sci-Fi song ever

  • Queen = 4 talented guys who were 100 x better when having fun together ;o)

  • Killer tone on that Pacemaker

  • I can only think of 0 ways this could be better.

  • muito bom, adorei....amo o queen, i love may's voice as well

  • Brian is always fantastic

  • I love this song, one of my all time favorites. Brian May has such a nice way with the words and his voice is beautiful. Song of the heart, sung by the writer, always sounds better.

  • part of a documentary for the 35 years bd of the album

    one of the greatest alum

  • this is my favourite song off a night at the opera

  • what a shirt...

    great musician

    awful taste in clothes

  • @gsvega I love the shirt, its a nice symbolic touch that adds nuance to the song itself

  • I love this song and I love Brian May x.

  • He also has a doctorate in astrophysics, yea

  • Those two poor souls should be put inside an spaceship on a one way trip.

  • Mi sorprende vedere 2 persone a cui non piace questa canzone O.o Spero per il loro bene che si siano sbagliati!!

  • 2 people i must kill.

    How can anyone dislike this?

  • @FatBrianMayFan i've been asking that same question a long time

  • brian, your 12 strings guitar is so cool and sounds great. as your lovely voice!

  • Always been my favorite Queen song - and he just makes it look so effortless...

  • Awesome!!!

  • Brian is smiling very beautiful at 2:42... Maybe he is reminding good times...

  • @agawu92 no, he is having a hard time changing chords due to pain. No, just kidding. I had the honor to talk to him personally and stay on the stage in the sound check when he played in Argentina, many years ago, during the "Back to the light" tour. I also had the privilege to hold his "red special". I never met any other musician so down to earth like mister Brian May.

  • @agawu92 :)

  • @agawu92 I think it was just gas....

  • @agawu92 lol man he was sorta pulling that face guitarists pull now and then haha

  • un~fucking~believable!!! Brian May is my God!!!

  • Daddy I love you!!!!!!! I want to sing with you... please :D

  • what guitar is that

  • @cicakkedish007 its a ovation 12 string

  • amazing. how the hell do you play a twelve string? i struggle with six!

  • love you Brian May!

  • a genius!!!!

  • geniaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalll larga vida a la reina!!!!!!!!!!!!!GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What an amazing voice Brian still has, and his guitar playing is note perfect too, of course. :)

  • does anyone know how to do the guitar intro?

  • this reminds of my grandma epic journey from Oklahoma in 1920 who's sister ran away to another family who was trying to get past the bullets that were shot at them because Californians at that time didn't want "oakies" in California.

  • This is my favourite Queen song. Just because of it's simplicity. The lyrics are more complex though.

  • i like this song much more with brian on vocals than with freddie. compared to freddie brian is not such a great singer (but who is?), but he can sing damn well.

  • @Frt666 right !! trully right :D but brian sing verry well too like roger :) 3 singers of damn up class and the best voice in one band .........amazing :P GOD SAVE THE QUEEN !

  • @Frt666 John Lennon is.

  • @LeonEyedass kidding, right? :)

  • @Frt666 you're right, i am kidding, i forgot to say he was a better songwriter.

  • @Frt666 I don't think Freddie ever actually sang this song, except some harmony vocals on the chorus. It's always been Brian.
