I'm not really a fan of this version. The strings seem too loud for her face it makes it kind of hard to hear her. I LOVE the version that was in the actual show with only the piano.
I think this was the most moving scene in Pushing Daisies. What a wonderful, brilliant show - I am livid that it was cancelled, because it was truly a marvel on television. Ellen Greene's voice is so touching and powerful. Thank you for uploading this!
Ellen Greene has such amazing emotion and power in her voice. Such a tragedy that Pushing Daisies got crushed by the lost momentum from the writers strike interruption
Ellen Greene makes me cry every time I hear her sing this. Her voice is so overflowing with raw emotion, even on its own... and in the context of the show, when she stands in the rain; well, it's just so overwhelming.
Of course now my sadness is compounded knowing I won't hear her [or Chi, or Kirstin, or Anna, Suzie or Lee] sing on Pushing Daisies again. We miss you, show!
let's just hope somebody allows them to make the movie the producer wants to make to wrap things up... and hopefully it will involve a musical number ^^
I know what you mean. When Ellen sings, I'm either close to crying (if I wasn't already) or in some awesome trance that I don't think I ever want to get out of.
She's truly one of a kind as a singer, actress, and person. Wouldn't it be great if she were to sing again on stage or on CD?
like a christmas song :)

@Aqua3marine
it's not abc's fault, it's the lack of viewers an' ratings. people like watchin' crap an' don't know a good show when they see it.
