here is how it works he "pushed" the coin through the can and when he moved his hand it was gone! nope it was on the lip of the bottom rim. next he dropped the coin into the palm of his hand. then when he showed it notice how he had an open hand allowing his left thumb to transfer to his left hand then as he twisted it to show you that there is nothing wrong with it he was sliding it to the lip and then when he opened it he pushed the coin in and voila not so magic anymore
