Gary Oldman really really changed himself for his role, I could not get over it when I found out it was him. He was incredible, his voice was different, his charisma. Even the way he stood was different and his walk was very unique! He was without a doubt the best example of acting I've seen in a while he fully blew me away with his performance and showed an example of 'Real' acting :).

I can't wait to see World War Z. A good part of it was filmed in my home city of Glasgow. I visited the set and saw them filming some of it. It was strange seeing the streets of Glasgow filled with yellow style taxis, American RVs and yellow traffic lights. Not to mention, road signs pointing to destinations that don't exist in our country. That's pretty much the only reason I'm looking forward to it. I've never been big on post-apocalyptic films. They're always so depressing.

I hope Oldman wins. It's about time. He deserves it. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy was a brilliant film. It currently holds an 84% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes proving that the American audiences whom criticized the film were wrong. It doesn't surprise me that the Yanks didn't get it. It was never aimed at their audience in the first place. Yet, we have to put up with all the Americanised Hollywood films that are shown in the UK. No wonder people are turning to European cinema.

The Descendants? 'Rich obnoxious people have their fair share of problems too.' No thanks. Not to mention Clooney's acting in The Descendants is rather wooden. The Academy clearly haven't came across many films which deal with real family issues. I'm from the UK and UK TV and film depicts these type of family issues all the time. The Descendants is overrated and really brings nothing new to the table that we haven't seen before. Boring. Next, please!
