Do you know where the footage of the horse's colliding is from. My husband and I are outriders from Canada and this is one of our worse nightmares happening.
some horses fell on the first circuit and started to run in the opposite direction and collided with the horses that were still racing as they started the final circuit:(

When those horses are going full speed you can't stop them so easily. Or even turn them so quickly, they're bred to run.

i dont think so, i think the bay layin down was winded but i dont think any were seriously hurt

3 horses died on the bend in that pileup..one died after falling at the first fence as well..so 4 horses died
