  • If you're gonna lose the bonus round as Keefe Ferrandini (yeah, we've misspelled it all these years), $800 is pretty darn good.

  • Looking back at the board, despite SOLD BY THE POUND, which I thought was a killer, BULKY and CRANK are also real stinkers too...the last 3 serve as $100,000 tournament categories.

  • Today is Friday (7/24/2009) and GSN is starting to play Keif tournament week..tune in on Monday. The female celebrity is Audrey Landers. The only 2 times she was on Dick Clarks version of The $100,000 Pyramid was for 2 tournaments(this one and Cheryl Reinwalds win)

  • I posted this eslewhere, but many people seems to want to see it.

For those who care, Keif's original qualifying win for the tournament w/ Shelley Smith is coming up on GSN reruns NEXT week. Starting this week (if they keep the same continuity) is when Terry Lester is the celeb, and they have to let Keif sit out a week cause she/her husband knows him. If they run them in order, then the week of June 22-27 will be when Keif goes to the top with Shelley.

  • I don't have cable. Do you know how to DVR that and post it here? I would be thrilled to shit to see her qualifying trip to the top again.

  • I have never done anything like that before. I still haven't uploaded *my* apperance on TPIR when i won 8K. :-) If I figure out how, i will do it. Hopefully now that GSN is running these again, Pressmin might be able to do it.

  • As someone who does not have the GSN on my cable, how many days was Keif on the Pyramid (not counting her two days in the tournament)? There are two clips of her winning - one with Abby Dalton and one with Shelley Smith, plus this one. Were those her only appearances in the winner's circle prior to the tournament?

  • yes those are. Keif was on Pyramid 3 days before the tournament. She did take a week off because her husband knew the late Terry Lester, and to play fair Keif sitted out that week. That would be the week where her tournament competitor Teri Mitchell qualified for the tournament in 40 seconds with Lois Nettleton (video is posted)

  • I couldn't tell what the contestant was going for: Was she going for $10,000 or $25,000? I'm assuming $25,000, because Dick told her that she was coming back. I hope I'm right on this, but help me out here.

    -Matt

  • She was going for $10,000 on the second-half of the show. The other contestant won $10,000 on the first half. The reason that she was coming back was that she had a 30-second tournament qualifying time for the $100,000 tournament. She did come back and won in what could be the most unbelievable set of categories that show has ever seen.

  • If a dog pound sells off their animals, you could say that stray dogs are sold by the pound :D

  • "You did great; you're coming back."

    Yeah...with a flipping vengeance.

(I'd still love to see Kief and Shelley's 30-second climb to the top that qualified Keif for the tournament.)

  • The 30 sec. climb has been posted.

  • I would have said "Deli meats," and "Cheeses."

  • For "Sold by the Pound", the best clue I can think of is "weighed produce."

  • SOLD BY THE POUND---One of the Pyramids KILLER categories! That category was also used a few times in the $100,000 tournaments.

  • I know! Things you Crank was NASTY also!

  • Women's SHoulder Pads would have gone unbuzzed.

  • I didn't notice this before, but check out the mullet that Keif is sporting (assuming that it is one, of course).

  • ... and let's not forget Shelly's big shoulder pads. Way '80s! :-)

  • Hey that should have been a good clue for bulky things ("Shoulder pads on women")!

  • Nice one! lol...
