yep, it's always a shame when things get commercialised...your head must have been ringing like mad after 5 days of it...after 1 day at the Exit fest i was pretty knackered -)

still, I was amazed that there were only about 5-10% people from the west. Yeah it was a commercial fair, but at least an Eastern European one.. The funniest things were 3 bands playing in the same bar plus the bar music, so 4 different songs at the same time at full volume. And very typical: 2 Liter-bottles of beer...

you're about 3.5 weeks too late for Zlatne Uste. They were excellent. And about 2 weeks too late for "Honk!," where bands like "What Cheer" performed several Bregovic & other tunes in Somerville and Harvard Square (during the Oktoberfest weekend). Do you know of anything else going on currently?

Sadly I dont my cousin was telling me about that three weeks ago she goes to Suffolk in Boston. Its not like back home where you can find them performing at every corner :D

i've been to sarajevo several times, and i never saw even one band perform over there. i would love to go to guca, though. have you been? as for this coming weekend, i think the Fort Point Art Studio thing is going on in the Fort Point/South Boston area. Lot of Bosnians in Everett; anything going on there?

Idk, I always have this bad habit of missing Guca by like two or three days every year I swear, but next summer if I am not in EGypt doing archaeology I promised my friend Julija we are definantly going to Guca
