Girl I know that is right! Yes the economy is bad, but most of us young people are laid up at our parents house with our children and that is a NO GO! I think if we did have parents like you and the parent I had there would be alot of successful young men and women in the world. Jill Scott stated she did not leave home until she was 27, but she was attending school and busy with activities that were going to benefit her future. Other then that it is time for your ass to bail! Sorry for you!
I know thats right. My mom did me the best favor by moving me out of the house at
19 years. Once I got out there on my own. I realized how well prepared I was. I want my kids to be out at 18-20. I will say that I returned home once to live and it lasted 3 months and I was OUT!
I'M 22, IN COLLEGE AND STILL AT HOME. AND IT'S NOT BECAUSE "I'M NOT PREPARED" I WORK AND KNOW HOW TO PAY BILLS ETC. RIGHT NOW IT'S KIND OF HARD TO BE OUT ON MY OWN BC WHERE I LIVE THE RENT IS HIGH AF, I KNOW I'M NOT TRYING TO BE HOME FOR THENXT 1 YEAR. I HAVE PLANS AND GOALS FOR MYSELF
As a 23 y/o college graduate I still live at home. Having a bachelor's degree doesnt gurantee young adults jobs. I work full time on two seasonal jobs. I pay my loans, my own bills, and even give my mom money out of every check. I cant remember the last time my mom bought me a pair of shoes. lol Granted I do get cooked food at home but when i had my own place at school I did everything myself. Workin, school, keeping my place up, n paying for car upkeep. Im at home till i can decide A.F. or grad
I Myself Is Over 21 And Stay At Home!!I'll Admit Im Spoiled To A Certain Extent!!But I Do Have To Work For Most Things I Get!!I Am In College An Plan On Moving Out With My Gf As Soon As I Graduate In May :) But Until Then I'll Be At Home!!
No. Most 18 and 19 year olds are in college. We also live in a different time. What job will an 18 year old get that will help them maintain an household? It's not about being spoiled. You can't set a limit on when your child will leave. Things happen you can't control. I know a lot of 20 years olds who go to college, work and take care of their parents. It's not that simple as you make it.
@kiasky1 You are absolutely right. I didn't think about thought. But I can set a limit on when my child will leave. What you mean? I can help but some don't want to leave. Oh no. If I do my job, the rest is on them. I understand it's not that simple.
when I can save whatever money I'm making now for school expenses next year. But I don't think this is a black kid problem lol, I have a lot of white friends and their asses are still at home too. But I think your plan to have them out by 25 is great, by then you should be way past the point of wanting to be out of your parents house anyway lol.
I think this is an interesting topic!! I'm 22 & still live at home & so do most of my friends who aren't still in school. In my case, and the case of most of the people I know, it's not about preparedness, it's about readiness. After high school I went to college (which is kind of like moving out but not really lol) and I just graduated in May and will hopefully be going to grad school next Fall so there's really no sense in me trying to move out in the time I have
Thank you!! and keep up with them videos..imma watch you while eating ice cream n tacos..heheheh

@CamilleAOPDG I think younger people are hearing me but they are not looking at the situation from their parents point of view.
