Hello. I am seriously considering to get one of these ... little fast fighters they are, im just worried about the fuel consumption. i dont know anyone that owns one so im faithful a polo gti owner will be able to answer my question :P. Anyway, Volkswagen claims a 6 liter/100 km rate, and we all know that's not true. could anyone tell me how far it is from the truth? thanks in advance.

@andre89pt : I was 6.7 l/100km for my first 1000 km in my 2012 model. I am 6.5 l now... With traffic jam, highway, city, a bit of everything... "D" mode (normal... which is far more than just "normal" from a fun factor).

I think in "S" mode you may be like 10 l to 15 l, it's really extrem !

"D" mode is really great for everydays and for fun.

"S" mode is for the "I am the king of the world" days or circuits...

And also in all new VW cars the gas tanks are very weird, meaning when the tank is full, driving at a average speed, it wont start dropping until you've done 100km and sometimes also 200km(which I did once and I thought it was broken!! xD )

I got one!!! If you want it to drink a lot it will, but if you want it to be economical it also can be!!! If I have a full tank and drive fast the whole time with sprints and stuff in the city, it'll do 300-400km (Greek petrols are fixed so arent at a very high quality). On the highway if you keep the speed at around 120-170 it'll do 600-700 km if you watch out!!

Btw the top speed done on this car is 250km/h!!!:D

Look at the "trip" in the right section of the central square... he did more than 20km in almost full trottle... it didn't drikn too much at all !!! i'm sure this little german car is a very nice choice for those teens who want a good accellerating and cheap car. And it's not a stress when you have to put in some fuel ;) 5/5 stars totally

@KlemenPraznik in sport mode to get to 7th gear you need be very gentle on the throttle and it will get there after like 140 kmh. if you floor it it will stay on 6th
