  • Wind turbine number four - demolition - conspiracy - and stuff and things...

  • ouh my god

  • Deeeeeamn!!!

  • Demolition?

  • Invisible Ninja!

  • I think it was a crash test..

  • bloody Gremlins

  • Did General Motors build that?

  • God doesn't want us having turbines. Rather, do not worry about what 2moro will bring. Live life as it was 2day. Accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior, and dont have to worry about this stupid green alternative!

  • That good have had someones eye out. At least it's not scary like nuclear.

  • Hope you made the most of the massive power output before it went pop!

  • Over load on the barrings

  • This was like 9/11 for the Danish.

  • Føj for pokker da; det var da en grum masse penge, der gik til lige dér! I øvrigt: "Dér kom den!" - PRICELESS kommentar XD

  • imagina a energia qe o negócio tava fazeno!

  • How the fuck did i get to watching windmill accidents, from starting out at a video of a car review?

  • @bixelstix96 the internet man. it's a hell of a drug.

  • That was awesome! It looked like the blade hit the tower and that made it fall.

  • @Sumtimreh It was a brake failure that initially caused the accident, but indeed, 1 of the 3 wings did cut the tower in half

  • @Lufttygger the "wings" didnt cut it. the force from the blade hitting the tower caused the lower joint to fail.

  • @CallumN02 A windmill is build in 2 pieces. One lower part (the ground constrution), and the uper part (windmill part). If you look you can see one of the wings bow the uper part so it falls from the lower section.

  • @XteriazZ

    that's what i said.

  • @CallumN02 well, in terms of cutting, you are right, it didnt cut the tower.. on the other hand, the wing did cripple the tower, as it cut into it.. feel free to express it in any other way you want, but the tower still went down ;-)

  • @Lufttygger

    but..but thats what i said..

  • damn

  • hvad så Henning Primdahl? 0:10

  • @cert5478 You're not cool Lisa!

  • Maybe this wind turbine just wanted to fly away...

  • Dang look at the van almost get crushed.

  • chuck norris sneezed

  • Anyone else notice the maintenance truck parked at the base? Hopefully he wasn't in there.

  • @Twitchy380Magnum No, the area was evacuated to a distance of 400 meters ( 1/4 mile ). Unfortunately some of the debris flew about 500 meter away!

  • Moc pěkné.

  • I stick with coal. At least coal plants work when the wind doesn't blow or when the wind blows to fast. Don't bring up global warming either. That scam has been exposed.

  • @robertg222 You stick with coal that POLLUTES OUR AIR! How would you feel if you were breathing that in 24/7?

  • @johnairlines8 I don't feel bad about it, because you know what? Where I live in the US we have the second cheapest power in the WORLD!

  • @tellmeitsnottaken You obviously don't think I live in the US. You obviously don't know where OHIO is in the world

  • @robertg222

":Don't bring up global warming either. That scam has been exposed. "

    Retarded american detected.

  • anti-wind comments below are laughable and only hurt their credibility.

no, it does not kill 1000 birds a year. there is no truth to that. 1 skyscraper kills many more birds than 1 turbine each year. Birds like to fly into stuff.

wind is currently the safest of all the commercially viable energy sources. whatever its shortcomings, would you rather live 1 km away from a wind turbine or from a nuclear plant? or a coal plant?

  • @iamspinoza i'd have a nuclear plant in my yard

  • @utube66680 - you wouldn't need any lightbulbs either - radioactive fluorescence. Win win all around.

  • @cert5478 but if a nuclear plant melts down how many people die?

  • @cert5478 lol i work on wind farm and in 3 months when we build it i didnt see any 1 killed bird i dont know where you hear this

  • How many birds does the average cat kill per year?

  • We have windmills in Maine from Denmark so....

  • a typical 0bama failure the people can believe in

  • @bzbzbz7779 In Denmark. Denmark! As in Denmark, Europe, Denmark, the other side of the world! What on earth does Obama have to do with it? (Also it happened in 1996 apparently) Besides, I'd rather have one of these collapse near me than any other major power generation type.

  • some wild pigs shot in southern germany and austria are still that much contaminated, that they have to be burned in nuclear waste facilities.

    25 years after chernobyl...

  • @henry2071 lol i would know that if its that way here in my country.

  • @MasterNickTube It was on German Television shortly after Fukoshima Accident.

And i know it from Austrian Hunters as well.

  • @henry2071 Oh OK it thought before this... didn't knew that comment was that new ;)

  • @cert5478

I actually do eat it. Bananas contain a higher than normal amount of K-40, which emits a 1460 keV gamma ray.

Do you eat bananas? UH OH U GONNA DIE

  • @ZombieLincoln666 the fuck r u smokin\

  • damn that sucks....

  • @cert5478

Ah, so you are avoiding legitimate sources of literature because they disagree with your preconceived opinion about NP?

Here is the link to the statement: htt p://ww w.who.in t/mediacentre/factsheets/fs303/en/index.ht ml

See also reports by IAEA and UNSCEAR.

Understand that I am not claiming that radiation is harmless. I am claiming that the dangers of it, and of nuclear power, are extremely over exaggerated.

  • @cert5478

"Given the low radiation doses received by most people exposed to the Chernobyl accident, no effects on fertility, numbers of stillbirths, adverse pregnancy outcomes or delivery complications have been demonstrated nor are there expected to be any. A modest but steady increase in reported congenital malformations in both contaminated and uncontaminated areas of Belarus appears related to improved reporting and not to radiation exposure." ~ World Health Organization (WHO)

  • @cert5478

Thyroid cancer occurs because of I-131. Your thyroid uptakes iodine, so if you ingest I-131 it goes right to your thyroid. That's why people take iodine tablets as a safety precaution, since it "fills" your thyroid with iodine so I-131 won't be stored.

  • and another $10,000,000 of taxpayers' money down the drain. Not to mention the resources and pollution caused by manufacturing, transporting, and operating this monstrosity. Oh, when the eco - nuts dreams meet the reality

  • @cert5478

I don't deny that there are probably clinics with sick children in them. We have children's hospitals here in the US as well. People would rather blame a freak accident for these things, rather than to face the sad reality of nature.

You might be surprised to know that people got cancer in the Ukraine even before Chernobyl.

Also, nobody is getting thyroid cancer from Chernobyl anymore, I-131 has an 8 day half-life...

  • @COLmegoCOLma

You simply have no idea what you're talking about.

Those tests happen ever other day? That is completely untrue. There is a 1% chance that a meltdown will occur for those "tests"? Where are you getting that number? Out of your ass, that's where.

Chernobyl had a positive void coefficient and it lacked a containment structure, and the test they performed is not performed on commercial reactors today.

    Stop saying stupid shit.

  • @COLmegoCOLma

I really don't think you've actually read any legitimate sources on the effects of Chernobyl, or radiation in general. You seem to base your misguided views on the movie "The Hill's Have Eyes".

    Here you go:

“The UN believes most of the deformed babies photographed by Western charities to raise funds have nothing to do with Chernobyl, but are the normal deformities that occur at a low level in every population.” —The Observer, Jan. 6, 2002

    You are a fucking idiot

  • @COLmegoCOLma And it was a soviet type of nuclear plant, they ran unauthorized tests and they kept it secret for 2 days. That's how it ended up as a disaster.

  • Lets put in a shit load more !!!! one in every playground!!!!

  • @COLmegoCOLma That's not entirely true, the highest danger from nuclear accidents is the immediate exposure, as well as radioactive particulate matter that can get blown around by wind and wind up in food supply. However the most dangerous elements also decay the fastest, and within a few weeks the main health concerns go away. Yes, there is a long lasting effect, but I am afraid it has been overplayed. Yes, turbines are obviously safer, but they are also ridiculously expensive and inefficient.

  • @12OclockLow That's not entirely true, the highest danger from nuclear accidents is most likely still unknown for mankind, and i, would rather NOT find out what that is...GreenEnergyKeepsOnRockintheFreeWorld!!!!!!

  • @sSstepSeQ What makes you say that? The only real issue I see with nuclear power with exception to the occasional meltdown is the storage of the REALLY long half-life elements that are not very dangerous but nevertheless impossible to really dispose of safely. If fusion reactors are ever created, forget about it, there will be no alternative energy. Don't get me wrong, I like windmills and solar power too, but sadly they are not that efficient/productive.

  • @12OclockLow many things, but the main one being the fact, that there is no such thing as 100% Truth.

and humans have been using nuclear power for what..about 60 years?...i have a feeling that there's still so much we don't understand about it, about the effects it has/will have on the globe.

thou, i´m not saying its a BAD thing! :`D..i just think we should be a little MORE careful when dealing with it.

And what comes to alternative ways of powering our everyday life, Geothermal energy.

  • It cut off its own foot

  • imagine the power that thing was putting out right before it failed! i could almost charge my iPhone with that!

  • @COLmegoCOLma The fact that Chernobyl had a meltdown is due to the technologies and unexpected events occurring. Japan had a nuclear plant almost cause catastrophic damage but that was due to an unforeseen natural disaster, these things are built to withstand wind and with constant failures, not to mention the manufacturing of these machines FAR outweigh the amount of energy the make + the energy they save by so called "renewable resources". Wind Turbines are one of the biggest worst ideas.

  • @J1NXJAY Again i would rather have a wind turbine fail than a nuclear plant fail, and i would rather have wind turbines rather than coal plants smoging up the air. the turbines are still in the process of getting better, over time they will get much more stable. Not only that but farmers get paid for having them in their yards which is a good deal to me =].

  • I first didn't realize just how large that turbine was, until I noticed the pickup truck at the base. That is huge for something spinning so fast!

I don't speak the language, but I 'KNOW' what the other person said... "Did you get that?" and the cameraman replied 'Yes!'

  • In reference to the debate occurring right now, here's a rundown of the deaths per TWh by type of power (source: WHO):

    1. Coal- 161

    2. Oil- 36

    3. Biofuel- 12

    4. Natural Gas- 4

    5. Hydro- 1.4

    6. Solar- 0.44

    7. Wind- 0.15

    8. Nuclear- 0.04

As one can see, while nuclear can cost in terms of property loss, it is low in terms of death per TWh. This is because, contrary to conspiracy theorist belief, Chernobyl claimed only ~4000 people, and no accident since has claimed a large number of lives.

  • That looks lethal

  • can only say WoW that was CRAAAAAZY

  • in soviet russia, brake failure suffers a wind turbine.

  • Something i'd like to see a windmill do.... xD

  • Chuck Norris?

  • justin bieber powerfull voice does this lol

  • @swunt How safe are nuclear plants? Of the world's almost 500 operational reactors, not including the reactors that were decommissioned safely, there have been 3 notable accidents... That is impressive when you think about harm done per gigawatt of electricity produced. What is your beef with nuclear power anyway? It's not perfect, and if you don't understand it thoroughly, it can be scary, but it is economical and zero emission.

  • @Rileyman2rr and where do you think we should store the nuclear waste for the next few-thousand years?

how economical is a controlled storage of waste for thousands of years? any calculation?

besides: 1 nuclear failure is enough, think of the radiation of the area around the plant. not usable for generations to come. who pays for that?

  • @henry2071 Where are we storing it right now... oh yeah, every time a geologically stable, thoroughly unpopulated area, well away from population centers it gets blocked, LIKE YUCCA MOUNTAIN! And do you know what i think, i think one failure of a wind turbine is enough, they are SOOOOO obviously unsafe. And when has any land actually been blighted by a leak from a reactor, once, and what land was blighted, the Ukraine. Even in Japan, there hasn't been any permanent contamination.

  • faaake

  • A breaking wind turbine? Is that a turbine with the farts??

  • Nice Video, some times thinks going wrong. I like Wind Turbines, it remind me on Windmills if i was a Kid and i like that they produce clean Energy. The Solution to rescue the world is my new Invent. The SOLARPANELLIGHTS. It is Storm proof, Waterproof Saltwater), Swims and grow up Aquaculture, also to use for Street lights or secure lights for wide Areas. With this little Invent (Patent pending) you save more Energy as the Wind Turbines produce. Have a look on ledmission if you interest.

  • This weekend I was driving through Dumas, TX, about 300 cars full of Vestas Wind Turbine poles & blades were on the railroad.

  • well for once us danes have invented something that CAN fail :) haha

  • cant believe the car /truck didnt get hit

  • Well, hopefully it produced a s*** ton of energy before it went lol

  • Booom

  • You must be stupid to think this is real, just look at it when the top half hits the ground, it makes a "splashing" effect on the grass, if it was real it would not "splash". Trust me i work for a leading CGI company

  • @jackwhittle123 This is real, it's even been on the news and destroyed in seconds. If the brakes do fail on a wind turbine it will spin faster then it structurally capable of handling and it will tare itself apart.

  • @jackwhittle123 Alright mate , also work with a leading cgi company and i have to disagree with you , this was on the news and i cant see why it would not be real footage, dirt with a big enough impact will always make a splash , this has been proven with many impact craters around the world.

  • (3 words) Adobe After Effects

  • @jackwhittle123 nope.

  • @jackwhittle123

i bet you are too big of a nerd, who just sits inside and never gets out to see how the nature is actually like

  • @mmmmmkmm "for you information i love to go outside walking / hiking and climb mountains so actually you really did judge me wrong didn't you. Yes I'm an intelligent nerd and that's why i get paid a fortune for doing it (my job)"

  • @jackwhittle123 so how can you say: (3 words) adobe after effects?

  • @mmmmmkmm what do you mean

  • @jackwhittle123 If you're so intelligent, why is it that hard for you to realise this isn't CGI?

  • That was cool. The blades actually spin off and hit the column causing the collapse

  • x'D It looked like it killed itself!

  • how is chuck norris gonna shave now?

  • Billy Mays here with the new..... oh shit

  • made in china

  • Translation.

    Nejnejnej = nonono

Der kom den. = There is was

Hold lige øje med stumperne = Watch out for the bits

Fik du det Thomas? = Did you get it Thomas?

  • I like how the guys in the background didn't even react to that. at least give a good old American "YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!" when it explodes like that.

  • Hydraulic failure. Wings won't pitch, wind has it and it's too much for it to yaw itself, and the brakes won't apply. It should have faulted and went 90 degrees out. What gets me is why is there a tech with a vehicle parked so close. When turbines start running away like this, best thing to do is stay away.

  • Ignore the trolls

  • why don't they design them to rin at this speed? Seems like you'd be able to produce more power.

  • @settlesdown *facepalm*

  • Danish wind turbines suck!

  • I wonder how much power it was putting out.

  • OBMAAAAAAAAA I dont worship The ground you walk on I never have and thats a fact I wont follow or try to find you Cause I dont trust you Wont ever haunt me Cause I dont like you I got some ocean front property in arizona From my front porch you can see the sea I got some ocean front property in arizona An if youll buy that Ill throw the golden gate in free be your own man not a puppet on a string Vote RON PAUL 2012 stop the lies as our goverment trys to force feed us
  • Does this help

    youtube.com/watch?v=hgl7IBmUj8o

  • i bet everyones lightbulbs in Denmark blew up lol

  • 3mile island deaths? 0

  • Wow.. cant believe they can go that fast... oh wait... they cant :p

  • Why was that person recording it?, they hardly knew it was going to just explode :L

  • @Fitzy137 uggg because iven if it hadn;t failed (and really it was very likely to) it's still something worth recording as they don't usually do that.

  • @Fitzy137 they did - they say there it came - they waited for it....

  • But...Will it blend? ;D

  • 64 people were killed by this turbin

  • @travisle1 No one was hurt. Only the danish pride.

You do not know what you are talking about.

The same goes for anyone who think it's made in china. That is only american cars these days. lol.

    Go away.

  • @ABOlsen69666 I was talking about the 64 people who disliked this video. New to youtube? Calm down.

  • wow - that´s crazy!

  • Lunched itself

  • @spikethemoviedog It seems like that was less of a catastrophic failure than the Gulf Oil Spill that is the Republican solution to energy needs

  • hmm failure when you are there and recording? chance is 1% so you breake it !!!

  • @rodier2 they saw that is was spinning very fast.................

  • Ideal for target practice.

  • And several million Japanese look on with heart-wrenching envy

  • hehê_ãný_güys_wÁñt_tó_chÃt_wÎth_më
