@covladuk1985 Rutherglen is very sing song like - it's like "this is Ru-THER-gleeeen, this train is for MotheR-WELLLLL. The next stop is Cambuslang" lmao
Class 334's announcments are clearer than the 318's. They 318's sound very quite and bad quality. But then again they pronounce the words correctly...
It prounounces it correctly on the 318's because all the stations are recorded in the same tone. If your ever on a 334 to Wemyss Bay it says cheange here for stations to Gourock and it sounds fine.
Yes definitely not as clear as the 334's. apparently their supposed to getting refurbished quite soon, Can't wait !. Do you by any chance remember the old scotrail voice which was more or less " Welcum tae the Furst Scotrail Service Tae Ayur" Ages ago mind you.
No problem, Cant wait to see some more of your vids :D
I believe you're referring to 'annoying annie' which as you mentioned has been long since replaced with the newer voice I can't remember the name of right now. It would be funny hearing it, though.
I love how she says Cardonald - sounds like such a cheery place.....even though it isn't!!! lol x

The announcments these days are pretty bad. Like its says, "Ayr" in like 2 seconds.
Whats the name of the speaker?
Sugababeslover 2 years ago
She's a Scottish actress called Fletcher Mathers.
It used to be a voice of a Glaswegian woman nicknamed 'Annoying Annie', who basically said 'This train is tae Ayr'

This train is for Goorick! lol
See if SPT Trains do go to Dunbar, I wonder how she would pronounce Dunbar maybe like, This is train is for Doonbar.

Lol, nice video. The tannoy woman also says Glengarnock witha hard K and pronounces it Glengarnockkkhi and Ayr is pronounced Au-ir.

You are entirely correct, however a slight tradeoff I'd say is that the 318 recording is slightly cracklier than the 334's.
Also, thanks for subscribing ^-^
