Merideth is experiencing the same problem my mom has with the iPhone. The screen doesn't react to anything except your fingers, because it uses your fingers electrons to sense you're touching it. It prevents as dialing and such.

Actually it's not. I've tried several brand new iPhones at the Apple Store, and NONE of the screens work for me.

I guess if you use anything other than really soft hands (like those that have never raised a shovel in their life), the fascist thing won't work.
