@colosalblack they never meant it to literally mean that.
google my generation read what its really about. but yea its like they are giving up on our generation which is really a bummer. we have ashamed the who hahahah
Rock will never die nor will the blues, it just gets smaller with all this garbage today such as justin bieber and ( wich appeals to girls the age between 8 and 10 )
What a fatuous idea-rock music changing the world. Whose world? Well, bands like the Clash did change some aspects of their fans' lives. But that's as far as it goes. And who told this guy they cane people in Iran for listening to wrong type of music? That's in line with "rock music changing the world"assertion, in this case attributing tribal mentality to a culture we know nothing about.
hey! im 17 and i love rock! jimmy hendrix, santana, led zepplin, the doors, jefferson airplaine, grandfunkrailroad, steppenwolf,,,,and many many others! long live rock!
Yes. I was like if you did that, Pete, I'd have to eat your face. Sorry, it was the first form of abuse that I thought of...Yup, that's how my mind works....I would HATE it if he rewrote Tommy.
Anything but the eighties man, to me it is the worse era that music has known. One of the main problems with music today is the fact that there is a lot of eighties revival going on
I don't know, i can only think of only about three good bands that came out of the eighties and less albums. Everything else from that period just makes my ears bleed, at least most of the stuff around these days doesn't make me wish i was deaf
@crhl95 Congratulations for your excellent musical taste and direction to 60's/classic rock. Music of that era, which I am from (born in '53) has set the muscial "bar" in the genre. Artists of today such as you mentioned, although they have their million of fans, have never been able to supercede the bar that was set by the 60's & classic rock icons (Cream, Hendrix, Who, LedZep, etc, etc...), and become '"legends". I am counting on people such as yourself, to keep up the tradtion. Crank it up!
they are such guys. I mean that in the best possible way. would love to have about 8 beers with these guys. Would donate to their charities and wash their cars...all 100 of 'em.
Yes it does, god haven't we taught you anything, we've given you the worlds greatest comedy, music and actors, surely you should have grasp the lingo by now, he he!
first question was too long, he sidetracks daltry...who WAS that bloke, what gave him any right to be in the interviewers chair? he lost me. windbag...pillock.
i definitely agree with pete, music today has no soul, theres noe life-changing, world-changing stuff. it isnt as much of a POWER as it used to be. it sucks.

What a F pain in the A. Daltrey has lost his voice and PT has senile dementia. Jeez what a load of BS. Do they veto selling records in China..? or anywhere else? Nah they are full of BS.
Pete knows it is a tribute band now. Back in '83 he pulled a Paul Simon and couldn't come up with anything for a new Who album and told Lenny "Just forget it".
I bet you anything that this Interviewer is a Jew, or an obedient Goy. He has the gall to talk about how Iran responds to music it doesn't like, meanwhile the ADL is Policing Youtube for "Hate" Speech, ie; Anything critical of Jews.
Also, he goes on about how Rock should "change" the world to the point where Roger has to tell him how boring he is. But when Pete mentions REAL change in the place that matters most, Family, this punk doesnt have ONE word to say, he's just on to the next question!
Have to agree... seen 'em twice and when I first saw them when I was 13 it changed my life forever... thats when I decided I wanted to be a musician... and then when I saw them last night... a year and a half later... I just appreciated it even more and my life will never be the same thanks to these two men... and of course RIP John and Keith
im just 13 now and i never got the chance to see the who in there "glory days", so to speak BUT, im a huge fan and i saw them live to weeks ago and WOW. my god. they were still great live. almost as good as they were back in the 60s and 70s. what a freaking amazing band. ur lucky to have been around back then. if i was, i would have seen then every time they went on tour.
who said I was... I'm only 16... but I've still seen em twice and now I'm a full time gigging musician... that show made me find what I wanted to do with the rest of my life
oh well you kind of seemed like you were lik 50 or something...ya know, talking about "the old days" or whatever. no offence. its cool. and ya, i want to be a musician when i grow up too. its like my life. Is your band any good? (=
