  • Cont. to try e-cigarette. Do you happen to know of site that sells it @ good price? Thank you!!

  • @tsarevna212 I just bought mine from DealExtreme. Their shipping is completely free of charge, and the product prices are awesome. They have e-cigs all the way from 60 dollars to 7 dollars. Believe it or not, the one that costs 7 dollars is awesome. Good quality etc. But that is an e-cig you may wanna buy as your first one. After a few months of using I suggest you buy one around 40-80 dollars. Though it sounds expensive it'll come much cheaper than smoking real cigs ;)

  • Good job. I keep meaning to try

  • Excellent video. I did clean my Atomizer. I had to be extra careful after I read most of the comments. I used a power adapter with a switch. I switched the power on and off, and dripped H2O2 slowly. Then I watch it boil. Thanks for sharing.

  • Geez wish i could find a trustworthy site to buy my vaping gear from. My first purchase had one dead atty, the second purchase I bought two different 30 ml bottles of tobacco flavor e-juice that are exactly the same. My third purchase Same thing happend two bad att'y's and one died 6 days later. Three different sites that burned me wyf.

  • This didn't work for me.I just bought 2 510 lr attys from heavens gifts and they both taste like metal real bad ?

  • @loki079 : that sounds more like the taste of the 'wetting' agent used for attys,

quite a well looked-at subject, i.e. best to simple rinse-clean that out before using them.

If the taste is after using H2O2, then I'd say clean again & rinse a bit more before using.

  • Why use an external power supply and not just the battery that came with it?

  • @adracamas : at the time this was done there were very few 'sealed' manual-button ecig batts,

so there was a chance of getting H2O2 into the batt.

& you don't want to inhale this (i.e. suction operated battery).

Now most (?) are sealed & quite a lot are manual, so probably a lot easier to use for this.

  • I once thought about trying a diluted solution of Limeaway. Then rinse for a good long time... But But But.... It works great in coffee makers.. LOL

  • Removed the double post not sure why it did that. I could only see one till i hit "see all" button , then they both showed up.

  • I deleted the extra post that i couldnt see unless i hit , see all. maybe i should have left it. Yeah 35% is pretty strong stuff , it will eat the skin right off your hands if you dont wear gloves. What i did today is made a small bottle up of about 16% h2o2 that i am going to use for cleaning. Not sure if it is the e juice i get or my vaping style but i can clog up a atty in less then a week. My LR atties seem to not clog up as quick. I am also using 510's so i dont get the coil glowing red

  • I'm a bit confused java69az,

can't see your comment unless I click on 'View all comments',

did you add you comments in a special way ?

  • @java69az double post ? Glad it worked for you as well. You're right that since atomizers have been getting cheaper, there's less incentive to clean them. 35% is pretty strong stuff, most I ever used was 30% = '100 vol' Got to be a bit careful at that strength, since if there's much leftover juice in the atomizer, it can combust when you apply the heat. I once had a flame shoot out, not too bad, but a shock all the same :) Best to rinse first. 9% is normally plenty strong.
  • Awesome best way for sure to clean a Atty and to keep them clean. Brought two of mine back from pretty much being useless. They would vape just a little bit , enough to piss a guy off. But now they are like new. Clouds of vapor. I did a couple things different one i used my 5 volt passthru because thats all i have . Two i used 35% food grade h2o2 because i have some on hand.

Not sure what adams prob is but Atomizers are Cheap $5. Worked great here glad i didnt listen to the Ass wipe

  • @java69az Ah fuck you you fucking whore. I'd fucking break your teeth out and skull fuck your dead face.

  • Fuck this video. Don't do this. This video ruined my expensive shit. Fuck this retard. Asshole!

  • @adamx20 Deary me,

where's the swear filter when you need it YouTube ?

I suggest adam that you overdid the heating part of it,

which is probably why you blew your coil (& cool).

Either you used too high a voltage power supply,

or you let it run way too long on heat.

A poor workman always blames his tools, try again more carefully.

btw oven cleaner is a very bad idea as well,

H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) dissociates on heating into water,

any chemical is probably bad news!

  • @CriticalBlackMassHys I am not suggesting oven cleaner either. But this ruined my atomizer. It was working just fine until I put it down and let it sit for awhile. I don't think it had anything to do with the heat. It worked before, after it did not.

  • @CriticalBlackMassHys That was an absolutely beautiful reply to a pretty angry and ridiculous comment. This worked like hell in a handbasket for me, so I have no complaints. Loved it and I will be doing it again when my attys need cleaning.

  • After doing this my atomizer is ruined.

  • use oven cleaner

  • @chloe4stars

    Hmmm...

what do you reckon is in your oven cleaner,

and how sure are you it all rinses out ?

Certainly it won't all come out after only a 30 min soak,

beleive me - I've done the tests.

  • use oven cleaner, it cleans the atomizer the fastest and then soak in hot water for 30 mins to get residue out. my atomizer is about 4 months old and i use this method about every 2 weeks and it's still like new

  • @chloe4stars Since I don't use oven cleaner, could you please explain the method.

  • This is probably the best method as opposed to soaking, since you don't really want the tiny solder contacts inside to be eaten away by the H2O2.

Critical :Are you still using this method and how long are you getting out of atomizers with good performance now?

  • @g00se22

    double post ?

Don't think H2O2 eats away the solder particularly,

the blobs do degrade over time, but probably more to do with heat evaporation.

I'm not a heavy vaper anymore (snus now), but certainly this method prolonged

atty life - and also probably gave a good bacterial cleansing to the metal mesh.

Atty life for me is now very long anyway due to infrequent use c.f. when I started.

  • This is probably the best method as opposed to soaking, since you don't really want the tiny solder contacts inside to be eaten away by the H2O2.

  • can you buy a new atomizer? how can i tell what kind of e-cig i have

  • @Icetea1371

Usually, but depends on model, have a look at this & the other thread in the section:

  • What you just did is oxidation of carbon. H2O2 is very reactive, so oxidation can be done even without high temperature, you could just leave it for a couple of hours and than dry it with some paper. Unfortunately, H2O2 reacts also with the heating element, rustening it.

  • @Sekeletu

mostly this is for the heat enhanced H2O2 breakdown 'fizz' to help breakup the deposits,

but there is significant oxidation sanitisation as well.

The nichrome heating coil won't rust, afaik

  • how about you just buy an e-cigarette and try it for yourself instead of trying to sell some kinda "self respect and self control" hype?

  • vaporized hydrogen peroxide is potentially very dangerous perhaps deadly.. look up vaporized hydrogen peroxide on wikipedia :P

  • True for a constant highish environmental level, which take a bit of doing.

But you're not supposed to be sucking the vapour in during this cleaning process (!)

The H2O2 in each few drops of 9% dripped into the atty would be mostly heat degraded (hence the fizz).

If some survived to make a bit of VHP it'd only be in a small volume of air that would disperse rapidly.

Don't see any problem as long as you dont suck on the thing.

  • Definately :), not everyone's got manual batts tho. But also some manual batts are 'unsealed' (still have a hole) so there's a possibility of getting some hot liquid in.

3% will fizz less than 9%, but still worth a go I guess,

I've tried some 30% (carefully) & it works even better.

  • Instead of inserting a power cord into it, can't I just use the manual battery button?

Also, would using 3% Hydrogen Peroxide be okay as well?

  • SU2T: I smoked 1 to 2 packs of cigarettes for around 35 years. I put them down with my first vape, and have had zero craving for an analog since..

I doubt your video can top that.

eCigs should be endorsed at a governmental level. They are shockingly effective.

  • @NCCNeon Totally agree. It's too bad that instead of endorsing them, many governments are trying to ban them. We need a new world (or at least small incremental steps to a better one).

  • can the cartridge be changed over with the other brand?

  • Other brand?, this method isn't meant to be specific to any particular atomizer type.

  • Thanks for answering my previous questions. Also, is H2o2 just a fancy name for hydrogen peroxide? And what can I do to clean if I don't have an AC adapter. (in all honesty I really am not brave to try what your pulling) With my luck I would electricute myself, destroy ,y ac adapter/ egig, or blow the circuit breaker out of the wall. So what can the average person like myself do to clean the attys?

  • Yes H2O2 is the chemical formula of hydrogen peroxide.

I don't think there's any danger of eletrocution whatsoever, you're only using 3 to 4.5 volts to heat the coil.

I think I read on the forums that some people have used those vibration sensitive ('automatic') batteries instead (e.g. 510/Yeti/Titan/Dura) or the push-button manual batteries.

But I wouldn't want to inhale to active (ie with 'standard' e-cig batteries' like DSE901s) when H2O2 is in the atty !

  • Its the actual Chemical name based on the elements that make it. 2 hydrogen atoms bonded to two oxygen atoms.

  • Thanks for this post!. Quick questions. Why are you using a clamp to hold it? Also, what is happening from :45 to 2:00? I'm lost like usual.

  • It gets pretty hot, the clamp makes it holdable, I guess anything, like a clothes peg would do. Also keeps the H2O2 from getting on your skin (mostly).

It's just repeated cycles of dripping H2O2 onto the coil, then heating to make it breakdown & fizz-out the oxygen, which breaks up the dirt & cleans & oxygen-bleaches it at the same time.

  • Coca cola or any high acidic drinks fairly well compared to this, just drop it in a shot glass and let it sit for a while

  • As a 'freshening' clean only,

cold weak-acid wash doesn't actually clean much apart from the surface

    'slime'.

  • I guess so, just so long as it doesn't out

so much current that it blows the coil wire,

or so little it doesn't heat it enough.

I think usually the coil runs at around 500 to 600mA ?

  • Well, I know for a passthrough you have to have the equivilent of 1a to get the effect of a true battery which is why computers don't work because the ma isn't high enough.

    Maybe that'll help

  • would using ANY dc power supply work ok for this?
