@DementedDolphin What these companies and lawmakers don't remember is that they're merely pigs at the trough. The citizens are the hand that feeds them, they fuck with us we can always poison their slop, in a manner of speaking. In the case of the companies, we stop buying their product (whatever form it may take). In the case of lawmakers, we challenge the law (US at least) and we can take it to a court with more authority than theirs.

The user must meet other hurdles, including attaching an orphan symbol to the use, to increase transparency and the possibility that an owner may emerge."

Guys, dont you get whats going on. The preoblem has made minor damage for a while so everyone things "oh its no big deal" but then out of the blue it starts causing problems and its too late!

So, me being and artist, anything I do can pretty much be taken, but then someone else who is one of "the big guys" can pay the fee and basically say THEY made it? Why do I have the feeling that my, and a lot of others, careers in art, entertainment, and so on will be killed? I think I'm gunna turn out to be an undiscovered artist..
