  • man, i've seen almost all your Sublime drum covers and you just nail all the songs perfectly. even your movements are somehow similar to Bud

btw, i've done a music video to this song, i hope you don't mind if i make some kind of "advertisement" here, but Sublime fans out there, check it out on my channel (or you can use the link: /watch?v=5OzzawPldH8)!

  • your pretty damn good, keep those jazzy instrumentals coming

  • I'm a guitar player, huge fan of sublime. My roommate has a drumset so im learning just for the fun and the first thing I did is play some sublime haha.

This definitely helped me, specially with the breaks and stuff. Of course you're drumset is godly for the job, you must be proud of it.

  • you're a beast.

if u dont live in orlando, then you should 'cause we should jam lol

  • Hey dude you sound good you should learn how to paly some of the reggae that sublime was imitating though. Try "Do Good" by Frankie Paul

  • Hey man that sounds good you should learn how to play some rockers reggae like "Higgler Move" by Junior Reid, because that is where Bud learned how to play like that.

  • sooooo chill

  • Somehow ended up with a trap and some toms for Christmas. Your covers are awesome! Right ON. Thank you

  • did Bud teach you how to play man?!!!

  • Hahahaha - well sorta, cuz I would watch vids of Marshall and Bud for my technique, so I'm really influenced by their style.

  • nicely done !

  • dude!!!

    awesome cover..

how long have you been playing for?

  • this shiett is suck dewd... lovin that snare..

  • haha at the end with the gibberish that was great, nice work todd

  • hey man, i was wondering how you got the music playing in the background while wearing headphones in all your vids. sorry for all the questions bro. haha

  • I used a video editting program called Pinnacle Studios and actually layered the original mp3 over it 50% my drums 50% mp3, so you can hear both clearly. This is also why a few of my vids have been taken down, cuz of copyright issues, cuz technically the original mp3 is playing in its entirety.

  • thanks alot man. where did you get that program at?

  • online i think 100 bucks

  • damnit, im only 16 with no job so... haha fuck!!

  • tight up your snare bRo...sounds like you are hitting a can

  • perfect performance!!!

  • awsome dude, gave me goosebumps!

  • very good work your sense of time is very good and im liking the sound of that snare

lol right hands workin over time on that hi-hat. thats what im talkin bout

  • That's how you fucking do it, rest in peace Bradley Nowell.

  • what kind of hi hat do you have?

  • Who was the saxist and keyboardist for the band?

Also does anyone know what sax and mouthpiece the saxist used?

Long shot I know. Just loving the sound of that sax.

Agree with the the previous guy, right on!!!

  • saxophone Todd Foreman

  • Cheers matey.

  • I like this version better.

It eally displays Sublime's availability to incorporate a wide variety of genres into one song (Reggae, Ska, Dub, etc.)

Both versions of Doin' Time are good though, Sublime is the best.

    Reppin' that LBC.

  • amazingggggggggggggg!

  • this version is kinda bad

  • THIS IS FUCKIN PIMP. Nice drummage.

  • any tips on how to keep my wrist from getting tired when playing the hats like that. i use the same pumping motion. but forsome reason i start loosing alot of umph about hafway into theese songs. especialy with songs like date rape..

  • Yeah, play WAY more....
