$79.97 for the NES at Toys "R" Us in 1980s aren't similar to the same price with 2 cents more on the GBA SP in 2005 at the same place, dude. The Zapper got a near-20 since it's a controller for games like Duck Hunt..We hardly seen them today. As Fun Stuff Inc., we did, indeed.
I remember this like it was yesterday, man you were hi-tech back in the 80's, not to mention, that you were one of the "cool" kids on the block. GOOD TIMES! =)
Batteries? The NES basic set didn't use batteries. They must have been thinking of the Deluxe set with R.O.B. And the commercial shows the old time grey Zapper.
@kingamer19 I'm 28 and I bought Poke'mon: Black at Toys R Us. I feel I'm only 8.......well I did until I saw a 10 year old buying something there. That made me feel old. Then I saw an 8-8 year old at Wal-Mart asking for COD: WaW. That made me feel like was 3.
I was playing Zelda, Excitebike, Teenage mutant Ninja turtles 1&2the arcade game, ice hockey and Tcmo Super Bowl yesterday!!' I love my NeS.. Also.. They NEVER DIE!!! cheap and almost indestructable. Lol
@F3shotF i told my dad that i had that dream, when my dad came from work boom my first nes !!!!!! daing !!!! what a fucking great day !!! luv ya dad !
@HowPettyful haha obviously. back then a game was like less than 3MB in size and could probably be made in a couple months. Now it takes years and millions of dollars
@latintiger might round off to $200 now days which nintendos should be more than $50 on ebay should be 1000s cause people have bad taste in classics...
if i was about the age of that kid who saw the big giraffe looking at me with smoke on the floor i wouldve been like "HOLY S#@!!!!!!! THERE'S A GIANT GIRAFFE IN THE TOY STORE!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a better dream. I opened a door in the middle of nowhere that lead to a place filled with shelves that never seemed to end, was covered in fog, and was dimly lit. Also, there was a creepy giant monster vaguely resembling a giraffe, who took me by the hand and lead me around the place for all eternity.
@zeldajunkielol2 You're forgetting to adjust for inflation which, by today's money standards, would put the NES console at around $150 and each game at $50.
Honestly, again, the kid is kinda cute. :)
TheYoNate 3 weeks ago
