I am sure that would be a great movie. John Newton seems to have been a great great man. I am very facinated by him, especially after ready his bio.

Please read the book "John Newton" by Jonathan Aitken--a biography of Newton's life. A wonderful story of a sinful man and slave trader turned minister. His works as a man of God still reach us today through his hymns, his diary writings, etc.

@mcdanieltony I am trying to find the movie that depicted john newton on the ship during that great storm, I seen a while ago, within the last 7 years or so and it was a very powerful movie and the scene in the movie in the great storm and his prayers and his fear of death and his promise to to God, do you remember that movie at all or get a name of the movie

@davidbesg it's a great movie. We showed the movie at a movie night in the park in our local town. We had over 200 people show up for it.
