Yes, it was every DJ's fave. I think it was actually re-released a few years later? I think "Valerie" was too. Maybe it was just "Valerie". So long ago.
Really takes me back! I'm listening to this and remembering the night, way back in '81, my stepdad and I went over to his brother's apartment near the Astrodome in Houston, TX., where my family was living at the time. I really miss those days. Good times.
Bass and drums are tight and funky -it always makes for a great song. Your feet will start moving with this song.... its just tight . Not may like this anymore.
Back in the day, it was every dj's favorite song. It is still one of my faves as well. Reminds me of my dad...a musician...go figure...LOL. Kinda looks like him sitting at that B3. Awesome song!

thanks a million for uploading this song...it was one of my faves by steve winwood and it's one that you don't think about until something triggers it. makes me think of the beach in the late afternoon during the summertime in san diego.
And for those who love this song as I do the truly GREAT Steve Winwood played all the instruments on most of the songs on this album entitled "Arc of a Diver".
This is one of Steve's best, without a doubt. The album Arc of a diver is a great listen. Bought it when it was first released and still play it on a regular basis. Never tire of Steve Winwood.

@susienc919 if you like great driving music and are open minded you should look for a rapper named Diz Gibran. he has a song called "on it" that's very good for driving. he also has a song called impossible that's very nice.
look for a rapper named rick ross. he has a song called aston martin music which is also very good for driving. give those songs a try and get back to me. peace.
