Good, I like that you share this video A difficult employee, difficult customer, difficult co-worker, or difficult neighbor! With her energetic and engaging conversational style, Colleen Kettenhofen uses role-playing and , I wish success always
It is the managers' responsibilities to create the aggregate-p to unfold "into" the M1 strategy since it is the p who choose it's M1. I'll will accept any challenge. Any takers?
I guarantee a 10% to 20% improvement. Isn't that worth a "shot of diffusion--into 'your' reality?"
Dear Colleen, Great work educating the narcissists to have respects to others. This is the only way they would understand their inability to empathize with others, in a non offending way. Even though some may misunderstand the fact you have to sacrifice your own image and come across as arrogant.
I think that bosses need to turn the mirrors on themselves because often the person is difficult because of the actions they have displayed towards the co-worker. Some bosses use their power to belittle, make snide comments & treat others as if they are stupid. One sided.
@ZumbaFitPrincess I agree! I do a lot of training for managers and I always remind them they need to be positive role models. Treat others with respect. They can demotivate and discourage workers if they're not careful. It's also important that bosses don't take work away from the underperformer and pile it on their best people. Happens too often. I talk about it in my new book, Secrets Your Boss Isn't Telling You.
You should make "how to deal with annoying fucking shameless freeloading cunts that are everyday at ur house with their fucking annoying kid and your mom is too nice to say anything to them and treat them nicely when the annoying person is actually a lazy low life bitch"
Over-sensitive people... If they are crying over nothing at all I bluntly tell them to turn off the snotworks. There's crying because you're miserable and there's crying to get your way, and I can tell the difference!
As for people who tell me they have oh so much work... Well I tell them they'd better get started then, huh? And end the conversation. Whomever they whine at next then won't be ME.
Blamers... Ignore whatever they say about it being someone elses fault entirely, don't let them finish when they try it and keep straightening them out for their mistakes.
As for gossips, tell them to get back to work whenever you catch them!
Seriously though I imagine people management is a difficult thing.
If you manage people to much they resent you, and they get nervous and uncertain. If you don't manage them at all they just play around and don't do anything.
I think the key would be to keep an oversight presence but only step in when you need to. However I do think that as someone's boss you can't be their friend. You'd have to be neutral on them and in clearly in charge. That way you can't be manipulated one way or the other
@Shavarnarak A book author I just read just today also said "If you manage people to much they resent you, and they get nervous and uncertain. " You sound authentic - talking from real experience which is rare. Coolish.
@kuul123 That's true. The biggest mistake managers make is to micromanage the good employees. They think the manager doesn't trust them and doesn't have confidence in them.
@Shavarnarak our website was created to help dealing with "difficult" people :) Visit us, and create a profile for a person you have problem with (enter his name, post photo) and anonymously write whatever you want about him. Yes and the spoken word when presented just right immediately commands attention. Great oration.

Good advice. Same with writing letters. Never mail a letter when you're angry. Always wait a day or two.

Hi Tracy,
Yes, the written word is even louder than the spoken word. Enjoy your day!
