I have a quick question I used benzaclin before and it worked wonders only problem is when I stopped all my acne came back, I have a new doctor and am now using clindamycin phosphate gel 1% nowadays I get whiteheads on my cheek a little less than A moderate amount, and I have little bumps on my forehead, before the benzaclin worked great on my forehead since it was the only place with acne but now I have white heads would you recommend going back to benzaclin for the whitehead or not?

I was told to use Azelaic acid by my dermatologist doctor, is that eventually going to be effective for people with darker complextion. I was also give tretinoin and %5 benzoyl peroxide wash. I had acne since the 2nd grade and i do pick on my skin (its gross i know but im addicted to doing it) ps im a female. If you have any advice for me I would love to know.

@723965 i don't think azelaic can be used on darker complextions because it has a bleaching effect. did this therapy that you described here work for you? and how old are you and what is ure severity of acne? i'm trying to figure out a routine for my own skin, i'm tired of going to the dermatologist

@therapeutics23 hey, thanks for ur comment. I am 21 yrs. of age. the dr. I believe the dr. gave me azelaic cream bc of my discoloration of my skin for bleaching. Well anyways my skin now is breaking out either before or after my menstral cycles, plus because of the products I use in my hair. So no it did not work for my skin. @ d time the doc. said I had no acea just discoloration, and to use the topical products to get rid of it. It only made my skin more dryer and sometimes darker.
