It almost looks like it's in a movie studio... but I know it to be real cuz Rex's sister is a good friend of mine... we all went to San Carlos Hight and UC Berkeley together.... way to go Rex... in High School you were voted 'Most Likely to Succeed'... I think they got that right!
I wanted to do something German for Hans, since it was his wake up call. I know nothing of modern German music, so I picked a classic with a new twist. Can anyone name the band? Where the concert was recorded?
Well, it's a little complicated. "Also sprach Zarathustra" is a book from Friedrich Nietzsche from 1885. Then put into a classic piece of sinfonic music by Richard Strauss in 1896. Then put into a modern version by brazilian Jazz Musician Eumir Deodato in the early 70's. There are probably different recordings from Deodato. The first is from his debutalbum "Prelude" but I can't tell you, which one you used. But you see, it is not so modern anymore and also not really German.
In Germany it was a big success, it is very likely Hans knows it. We have a very popular German Jazzmusician called Klaus Doldinger. He made the soundtrack for "Das Boot" by Wolfgang Peterson. This Film should be known in the USA because he had 6 Oscar nominations.
There was a young actor in this movie called Herbert Grönemeyer, who is also a popular singer. NASA played his song Männer as a wake up call for Hans some days ago! Perhaps you should check out some newer song from him.
Thanks Stargazer, I'll check it out. I should have phrased the question differently. Name the band that is playing the song in the video. They were a popular "jam band" in the 90's, and toured Europe extensively.

But still: it fits the pictures! So don't worry.
