  • I just bought the M-Audio Fast Track C400 audio interface and it came with PT 9.0 M-Powered.

I was really thinking about purchasing Avid Eleven rack Guitar processor and recorder. It comes with PT 10.0 and about 100 preloaded guitarist pre-sets to use, I'm guess the Eleven Rack is a much better interface and better built too.

  • OMG they are so outdated. Logic 9 is still fastest one that gets the job done.

  • Thumbs up if you have problems running Pro Tools 9 on Lion OSX. That's one of the reasons Pro Tools 10 came out, sooo I'm getting this sh@#!

  • i love me some pro tools .

  • Thanks for the info

  • fuck avid

  • Played with it. It's nice. But I still prefer Logic

  • didnt Protools 9 just come out?

  • Protools isn't nothing special. It's just another DAW

  • @Bhodisatvas jajajajaja lmao its true

  • Notice it's not really different functions but another version of the one.Business 101/law...

  • Floating = decimal log10 derivative

  • this guy looks like a magician

  • @statikcandy FL studio left the "noob" category long ago!

  • So what if other DAWs have 32 bit floating or clip gain! now Pro Tools, arguably the leading DAW in the industry, has these great features. They aren't claiming to be the first to come up with these features, just maybe the best at using them. (;

  • Logic been had all these features. I love logic.

  • Reaper has 64bit floating point and clip gain. If you want to see whats coming out in Pro Tools 11, 12, and 13 just look at what other DAWs like Reaper, Samplitude, Cubase, and Ableton Live have now.

  • this is not special

  • I dumped protools when reason 6 came out!

  • Top video, well done sir! Straight to the point, fast and informative. If only others would follow suit.

    Now, 64bit please avid.

  • Still not 64 bit!? What the hell Avid?

  • A great summery video of some of what's new in Pro Tools 10 - I'll certainly try to upgrade from Pro Tools 8 when I can.

  • I am just getting into computer recording, so I am a complete beginner with all this. I am seriously considering investing in a Macbook Pro and some form of recording software. It's incredibly intimidating just looking at all the options available! I don't want to make a bad purchase choice. This programs looks great, but also very intimidating. idk

  • @shango02005 try the free program reaper first and have a look at maschine from native instruments. there are really too many options, but funnily enough many of these programs provide you with very similar functionalities. find your creative soul first, then you will know what you want, not what you "apparently" need. advertising is a bitch.

  • @y0schi Right on, man! Thanks for the tip!

  • @shango02005 If I were you you, I would consider starting with FL studio as my first DAW. It's easy to use, and a great way to learn the basics. I got a Macbook Pro, and it's an amazing tool for music production.

  • @2pac4e I'll look into that! Thanks for the advice! :)

  • @shango02005 No problem, mate:)

  • Ok. I swear that Pro Tools 9 came out like 3 months ago and now 10 is already out? I still have Firefox 3 from a year ago but 8 is already in development. What is the industry coming to?

  • yeah why doesn't it have offline bouncing yet??? and pro tools should buy out source live etc.....

  • Mitch you are great at explaining software and gear one of the best.and I have to say Sweetwater is the #1 music dealer , pros all the way. thanks for the videos

and no people I was not paid to say this the truth is the truth

  • Um yeah...I'll stick with my new copy of Reason 6, thanks.

  • Cada vez se parece más al cubase!

  • I'm still using version 7 of Sonar (released 2007) and most of these so-called "new" features of ProTools seem like old-hat.

  • no offline bouncing?

  • Glad to see that Avid is adding new features. However, they are so far behind Sonar X1 it's going to take a much bigger jump than this to catch up!

  • Cubase had 32 bit floating point in 1999. Sonar has had all these features since 2005.

  • @themindminder lol ino even Acid Pro had this "NEW" feature 6 years ago that Avid calls Clip Gain

  • @themindminder correction! 1998 (Cubase VST32)

  • @themindminder ummm...yeah, but Pro Tools didn't, and now they do. Cubase sucked in 1999, as it does now

  • @themindminder So? We only care about pro tools.

  • @themindminder Yeah but pro tools is better

  • @themindminder who cares

  • @kyle27085

You should care. I just listened to your demos. Get yourself a real DAW and fix all those awful audio problems with your demos.

  • @themindminder Sonar is also the only DAW on the market with 64 bit audio processing (since 8.5). I've been using it since Sonar 4. Sonar has its own problems though. there's no way to organize multiple automation envelopes. V-vocal needs a serious update, as well as BitBride. But the feature set as a whole is much larger than what Pro Tools currently offers, especially if you have the producer edition.

  • @themindminder and now sonar has 64 bit floating point, suck on that protools

  • So yeah, this video was way better than watching the live webcast. Great job Mitch!!

  • How about euphonix support for windows???

  • Hopefully bought it after Oct 1st

  • aww man i just bought 9 -.-

  • @KhyleFryer
