  • OMG thank you so much. This makes sense to me. I am not sure what to do now but it helps me understand my 8 year old just a little better. Thank God for people like you who are willing to put this stuff up to share with us.

  • ADHD ppl love rainbows

  • i have adhd and at my school in my science class im the only one with adhd and my friend said do u have anyidea what they said and why is the brain colorful i said BECAUSE ADHD KIDS LOVE RAINBOWS!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • i watched this video but i have no idea what he said...

  • thumbs up if you have adhd

  • Oh dear god - that's me to a T. And SOMETIMES I'm neither listening, nor looking, sigh! Hey folks - it's NOT intended to be rude! And yes, I used to get in to trouble at school for appearing not to be listening (when I was gazing out of a window, for example) and then being able to repeat it back verbatim to the teacher. That got me in trouble for being a smart arse. You can't win and adults can be so blinkered.

  • Fluoride

  • i bet he doesn't have ADHD

  • now i get why i cant do that!

  • Hahaha.. My teacher was giving me a lecture at school and I was just like WHAT??? I wasn't listening. Lol I am ADHD btw

  • Peaple talk about what they really don't know. Ask to a Diabetic person to produce insulin... Try to ask a ADHD kid to have focus... He won't, NO MATTER HOW HE TRIES. But sure, you can continue trying until he collapses..

  • @Lucassitta wht do you mean i have ADHD and i can focus fine so plz explain what you mean

  • ADHD Is a excuse for BAD children. Sorry but back in the day where parents were strict there was no such thing.

  • @TheInternalFilms i have ADHD and i was cured with medicine. watch what the fuck you say, it could piss people off.

  • @rockergod789 I have ADHD too and theoretically i could be cured with medicin... but what the fuck take every day pills just that you work better and it has great influenc on you'r character... so no medicine is not always the solution... why don't you just try it with meditation... immagen ages ago there was no medicin for this and people still managed to go through live...

  • @Jilterin sounds kinda lazy to me. contrary to popular belief it seems, it doesn't require a ton of effort to take a pill, and unlike some people i enjoy being able to work better. if it means i can have a good grade in college, i'll keep taking my medication.

  • @TheInternalFilms Then you really need to do some research, my father has ADHD and I have.

  • ADHD + The back hand of a parent = Cure for ADHD

  • @SRNF I agree

  • @Evolution573 That make's me feel like a dumbass.. But i do understand what he is talking about. shmm.

  • @Evolution573 :/.. :(

  • @Evolution573 Will do..

  • My parents don't belive I have Adhd. I get so hyper to the point I'm screaming and poking people, running down the hallways. (Even yelling I wanna get chocolate wasted') I can't stay on task when the teacher is talking. I have to stare off in space, or draw, etc etc. It's mainly in math. My mind wonders every which way. The only class I can really focus in is band.I'm one of the funniest kids in school. Or so I'm told. I have to turn around and look at my friends. Please help!

  • It's funny how people think ADHD is bad... I have it and I'm the funniest kid in school XD FUCK YEA:D

  • @lrdmrh13 me too lol... thats what people tell me... :) yah bye :)

  • I HAVE ADHD.. and i for some odd reason do not like this man.

  • I probably will forget all about what I just said, 10 minutes from now and I'll want another profession, then another, and another. Hehehe!

  • My ADHD isn't a "Disorder" It's a fucking GIFT. I LOVE MY IMAGINATION, IT'S GREAT! I want to write books!! I swear I'm going to be a Science Fiction Book Writer!! I SWEAR IT!

  • @InfurnusChaotix im exactly the same, writing is epic, you usually (sometimes its not intended) find bits of yourself into a character, let ur hand and imagination do the work :) I have adhd, I am an author of horror, i havent published anything yet tho, good luck :)

  • @InfurnusChaotix

It's all about the dopamine, one of the most important brain chemicals. Inside of a "normal" brain a following reaction takes place: phenethylamine->dopa->dopamine->norepinephrine->adrenaline. It's believed that ADHD people with high IQ usually have too much dopamine receptors so their dopamine re-uptake process goes faster. As a result you suffer lack of norepinephrine so you can generate ideas but you are unable to make it work. I know how it is, i'm ADHD as well

  • I have ADHD. I can focus visually when I read, but not when I listen. At law school I tape classes because every 3 to 10 minutes my attention shifts. For me it's difficult sometimes to join conversations because I lose bits of what's going on. I wish I was medicated but due to food allergies I can't take ritalin nor other medications. I've even tried a gluten-free diet on my own, but I started having other problems linked to the lack of nutrients, because my diet is already very limited.

  • ADD/ADHD doesn't have to be viewed as a "disease" if people understand and act after their needs. If my girlfriend tells me to do something I will tell her to remind me or write it down, and as she is doing it on agreed terms it's not a problem, it's just different from "normal". This guy seems great, he seems to see things from a kids view more so than most psychiatrists.

  • @Korvmannen hi i am new here

  • @Evolution573 i got pwned or i pwned? you don't make any sense

  • add people are just different, i am add adhd and bipolar and i have hallucinations, ive noticed the best thing for me personally is when i become frustrated with one thing, i move on to something else, so my hobbies are multiplying rapidly lol. if a kid with add or adhd really wants to learn something they will actually learn it faster and excel really fast.you have to keep them from getting bored thats the problem, once they get bored their minds just shut off like a light switch lol

  • @pablo5635 ok, I respect your view on the subject. You just don't really have the information on ADHD to see what is really happening. I'm 25 and have ADHD, like you I chucked it all up as not being a real disease and a result of bad parenting. I came from a very loving and attentive home with parents supporting me even though they did not know there was a problem until later. I literally struggle everyday with this by flying off the handle over something as small as a sink of dirty dishes. I a

  • @pablo5635 Only someone who has never dealt with an ADHD child would make sure silly & hurtful claims. Same sort of reactions that were faced when first diagnosing mental illness' like schizophrenia.

My son has ADHD, not medicated & homeschooled. He can't sit more than 15 mins. He can't concentrate more than 5 mins without talking about something totally unrelated. That's okay, it is who he is but it is through knowing what he has I am able to address them & put in place achievable expectations.

  • I have Extremely bad ADHD and i was getting low grades in school, so my mom upped my dosage of meds. Now i get really nervous and pick hair off my leg, arm, and eyebrows. I look ridulous, my mom says she is going to punish me if i keep doing it, but if i am of my meds i get really bad grades and getting trouble. What do i do?

  • @AuroraTheDragon That sounds horrible for you. It doesn't sound like your mum if really listening to you. Do you have another adult you can trust to listen to you? Maybe speak with them about how you are feeling and approach your mum together. You could also find some more information about your medication and the side effects for her to read. You need to make her hear you. Good luck.

  • i think i have ADHD.

  • this is not true at all. i have adhd and i can focus very well on things visually and aurally that i enjoy (most of the time). but when i'm in math class (something i do not find interesting) i stare into space and need reminders to stay on task. its not about visually paying attention or listening.

  • @ninjapwn98 actually, I don't mean to burst your bubble, I have A.D.D. and I usually can only pay attension aurally when I'm not paying attension visually so...yeah. It is kind of true, but I guess not for other people. Maybe people have A.D.D. differently than others. So I guess you can say we're both right.

  • @ninjapwn98 i have ADHD and in my experience it's a strange one, if it's boring, or i dont like it i'll forget about it like that, if i like it, you can't drag me away from it. like IT for a start, i can sit at my desk studying computer networking, or fidling with CMS's for litterally a whole day and not even think to eat.

  • @ninjapwn98 its not that its not true at all...people have what i call different levels of adhd...some worse than others...my bro has adhd...i mean im not saying ur wrong but saying its not true at all isnt right

  • I realized that I had ADHD I wasn't really happy about it and I would get I'n trouble a lot I'n school but now dat I realize it I don't care anymore :)

  • i can`t concert trait on homework , do i have adhd ? i can`t sit still i don`t stop talking i must have adhd

  • @tara6692 It could also be anxiety. That's what my brother had. Anxiety.

  • It's actually a bit more complicated. Note in the example of the boy not looking at his mother, or the girl who is looking, that both are sort of sour. No one likes to suffer the imposition of another's will, and that is what we see in those two examples. Ritalin, etc,, give the authority figure more control over the will of the other person. Ritalin was used in WW2, primarily by Germans, because amphetamines literally make one more obedient to authority. What if the parents lack command?

  • Amen!! I do the auditorial thing all the time and yet i still get in trouble but i dont care. Thanks for posting this video i'm gonna show my mom:)

  • I understand now.

I watched a different video about how to recognize ADHD symptons in children, and i sounded exactly like that, but I didn't believe it. Now I believe I am an ADHD kid, because I can only tune in one way; by seeing or hearing, but not at the same time.

(this took me 45 seconds to type!)

  • I'm EXACTLY like that! I just thought I couldn't look people in the eyes! but now I know :( thank you very very much.

  • i have ADHD and it so true ! now that im taking meds my GPA came from 2.9 to 3.8 im so happy im taking meds it help alot !

  • I can relate everything that he said. It's all true after I found out that I had Adult Attention Deficit Disorder I realized all the stupid things that I've done was due to my mental disorder. I'm taking medication for my ADD and it really helped a lot

  • In one class in school all of us ad one chapter non of us understood. We all flunked.Lots times I can read and not understand but lots I can.Was that this you speak of?Technecal computers or phones that are more then old fashiond I can,t do to well.Is this what yor talking about???

  • this why your told your stupid. No brains cause you toaght trains???Why your told go look for something and you can not even tho it right in front of you.?Is it why you can,t get the meaning of things you read???

  • this why your told your stupid. No brains cause you toaght trains???Why your told go look for something and you can not even tho it right in front of you.?

  • what are the first steps to make an appointment for my two other children to get tested? where should I call or what should I do seems like there doctor won't make any testing unless I push or if its nessasary I children have medical. I have seen other people have they're childrens get testing done for ADHD but what do they do or say? to get into an appointment for testing.

  • thats very true I felt horreble when my son was doing this and I was grounding him for it he did't know he had this and we are waiting for this test to happen his doctor wouldn't do this test and his school would do the test. Until I pushed and pushed them to do the test for my child now I received a call from the doctor saying she will mail me forms for me and my husband to sing and for my son teacher.... is this really the proceses how can I know the doctor is not going to trick me?
