@markdoncaster89 Part 3: Move also has "obvious lag" depending on the game, just like Kinect. Move will probably have a little less lag but then it can't do as much as Kinect. BBC may be biased in general but not towards the Xbox360. (And I don't know about pro-American, pro-Obama maybe but that's like being anti-American, lol!) You can't post links on YouTube comments but just go search on Google, there are plenty of BBC articles & news videos about the PS3 Slim & Move. (& Wii for that matter.)

both versions of red dead redemtion was terrible with glitches.for every multiplat game that looks better on 360 there is a multiplat game that looks better on ps3 n ones much better then red dead.

@markdoncaster89 Part 4: So you work for Rockstar then? (Or more likely Sony, lol!) You don't know whether RDR's (minor) extra content will be available on the Xbox360 or not. And there have been other games in the past that did it like Soul Calibur 4 where Darth Vader was exclusive to PS3 on the disc but later was made available as DLC for the Xbox360. Also games like FF13 and DMC 4 were announced as PS3 exclusives but ended up coming out on the Xbox360 at the same time, lol!
@markdoncaster89 Part 5: Both versions of Red Dead Redemption DON'T look terrible, you're just making excuses for the PS3 version looking worse. Also I think the PS3 version has more glitches too as I only encountered a few in the whole game. And there's not a PS3 multiplatform game that looks better for every Xbox360 one that looks better, it's more like 75% look better on the Xbox360 (some a lot, some a little), 25% are identical and 5% look better on the PS3.(Mostly very slightly.)
@Bluespirit76 how can kinect be updated just by giving it software updates lol,the problem isnt software its hardware,the cam is cheap and even less resolution than ps2 eyetoy,they even took out kinects cpu and made it use 360 one instead which is even more of a workload on 360 now.360 cpu is already bottlenecked which is way it cant get the most out of gfx card.

@markdoncaster89 Part 7: Skittles? Lol! You mean Kinect Sports' bowling? It doesn't lag. Well, technically it does lag and so do joypads and LCD TVs, but it doesn't lag significantly. It looks under 100ms which is insignificant for bowling. If you don't have a problem with the lag in KZ2 then you shouldn't have a problem with the lag in Kinect. Unless, you know, you're a hypocrite. Games haven't all been freezing and the Xbox360 needing resetting constantly, you're just lying. No surprise there!

For a start there's a load of Kinect exclusives, but even without those there's more than 1 exclusive that's been announced SO FAR. You see MS often announce some exclusives at E3 in the same year they're released (unless they're released before E3 obviously) so there are no doubt a few 2011 exclusives that haven't been announced yet. I'm pretty sure the Xbox360 will keep outselling the PS3 next year.

@markdoncaster89 Part 12: Sony count Move sales by each unit of ANY type of Move controller sold. Not only have Sony themselves said that they have SHIPPED (NOT sold) 2.5 million units of Move in 1 month but they have NEVER said that each of those were just the Move starter packs. And you do need 4 Move wands if it's a 4 SIMULATANEOUS player game (or only 2 SIMULTANEOUS players with 2 wands each), it doesn't matter if there's only 1 game that requires 4 wands so far. It's only been out a month!

They do have a few different websites for some different countries but they're sold out (of launch stock at the very least) in the UK, USA and Germany that I know of. You may know shops that are only allocated 10 Kinects per store, most likely small-town ones that have the same limitation on any "in-demand" product.

@markdoncaster89 Part 14: Gears Of War 1 sold over 900,000 in its first week and over 2 million in its first month. That was not only a new IP but it was released within a year of the Xbox360 itself. How can I "REMEMBER" that the amount of stock allowed for pre-order is low when you haven't shown me any evidence of that being the case? And even if it was how can you work out how many Kinects are going to sell at launch from that since low pre-order stock can't indicate launch sales? Lol!
@markdoncaster89 Part 15: There are plenty of core Xbox360 games coming out. Yes, Kinect's launch games are unfortunately mostly casual (about 90% I think) but there are definitely more core Kinect games coming out next year. If Kinect just becomes a shovelware accessory then I'll be as mad at MS as anyone else. In fact I complained to them about their slightly disappointing and over-casual E3 conference this year but they redeemed themselves somewhat at the Tokyo Game Show.

@markdoncaster89 Part 16: No, MS talking about 4 & 6 player support was very recently, WELL after the extra processor was removed. The player support has nothing to do with that processor, if it did then it would simply mean that now Kinect would take more than 1% of the Xbox360's processing power to track more than 2 players. Shock horror! Wouldn't that be awful? Lol! Kinect can track at least 40 "joint" points/42 "bones" plus at least 4 other tracking points via the IR projector/sensor alone.

@markdoncaster89 Part 17: I have looked, there were some MINOR frame-rate issues on some REVIEW COPIES of Castlevania on the Xbox360, however the RETAIL COPIES (ie. the finished game that's in the shops) have been CONFIRMED to be identical to the PS3 version other than each version having slightly different tint levels and some slightly better lighting ON THE XBOX 360 VERSION that you can see in comparisons. Disc swapping is no big deal, you have to swap discs when you change games don't you?

Anyway, Xbox360 exclusives GOTY include Call Of Duty 2 (next-gen exclusive, it was a launch game), Oblivion (it was exclusive at the time), Dead Rising, Viva Piñata, Gears Of War, Bioshock (exclusive at the time), Left 4 Dead, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Gears Of War 2, Fable 2 and Forza Motorsport 3. @markdoncaster89 Part 19: I've looked and I can't find anyone, except for Sony and fanboys of course, claiming that the Xbox360 can't have a 256 player online game. I'm not into MMO games but I know of at least 1 MMORPG on the Xbox360, Final Fantasy XI! (And that's on the PS2 too. If the PS2 can do MMOs then obviously the Xbox360 can.) Also the PS3 may be getting 3 MMO games but there have been MMOs announced for Xbox360 too. Steam for PS3 is just basically Sony allowing Valve to bypass PSN.

@markdoncaster89 Part 1: You can buy rechargeable batteries that can be recharged 1000 times and when they die they'll cost a lot less to replace than a PS3 joypad or Move wand when their built-in battery dies! And what's the electricity bill got to do with anything? You have to use electricity whether you're using a battery charger to recharge AA rechargeables or using a PS3 to recharge a controller's in-built battery. Or are you claiming the PS3 runs off free magical fairy dust? Lol!

You do know that the whole "review controversy" started because the editor of GameInformer (famous for giving high scores to games that heavily advertise with them) had a little tantrum on Twitter because Oprah got Kinects but he hadn't yet, don't you? Plus he's now tweeted that they're getting Kinects on Friday. Also reviewers haven't necessarily "been in the industry", most either used to be gamers off the street or just workers from other magazines given a review job.

@markdoncaster89 Part 3: Move does have lag, there are plenty of videos that show it and reviews that talk about it. Kinect does do 1:1. You obviously don't have a clue about lag. If you play a game (on a JOYPAD) that happens to have sluggish controls then THAT'S BAD LAG! The reason lag is more noticeable on Kinect games even if it's minor is because you're able to watch the person moving and the movement on-screen at the same time, that's easier to see than joypad lag. Google "controller lag".

All you have to do is look at the videos of what Kinect "sees" (that regular people have demoed) and when they have it in "skeleton" mode you can count all the "joint" points and "bones" yourself. Now, does the "skelton" that Kinect's software creates always do 1:1 100% of the time? (When you play properly, not just messing about.) @markdoncaster89 Part 4: 1 hideout and 1 costume is minor. I just watched a video of the hideout and it's pretty pathetic! For a start it only had 5 enemies at the hideout and the only building was a ruin of a tiny house that didn't even have a roof. Unless the shabby barn is supposed to be part of the hideout too? But there were no enemies in it and even if you included the barn the hideout is tiny. (Cont.)
@markdoncaster89 Part 5: Surprisingly it did include a (also tiny) mission but that was just riding a safe back to Armadillo from the hideout with the rest of the gang chasing and shooting at you so that was pretty much the same as when you're riding any captured bounty back to town. The whole thing, including riding from the hideout to Armadillo which took the most time, took 5 minutes and the biggest challenge was probably shooting straight due to the shitty framerate, lol!

@markdoncaster89 Part 16: Actually you do sometimes get certain games selling out everywhere but games are a hell of a lot easier to manufacture than Kinects! If a game sells out they can burn & press 1000s (probably at least tens of thousands) in 1 day and ship them out for the next day or day after. If Kinect sells out they can only make however many they can make each day which is going to be a lot less than DVDs that are made really quickly since Kinects are made from a load of components.

@markdoncaster89 Part 21: Exclusive means exclusive to consoles. (Although you could say exclusive to Microsoft as you need Windows for the PC versions.) Some Final Fantasy games that were called exclusive on the various Playstations were also on PC, the same with Metal Gear Solid 1 too and there are probably other games. The Eye Toy doesn't offer nearly as much sensitivy, nor does it track as much information. The games available on Kinect aren't possible on Eye Toy.

Calling the EyeToy more advanced that the Kinect is like calling the PS2 more advanced than the Xbox360! Even the simple Ricochet game that's part of Kinect Adventures can't be done properly on an EyeToy, PSEye or even Move. You can use any part of your body in 3D space to hit the balls at the velocity of your movement. Even Move could only do that with 2 "hands".

The sites who do the review will have to wait till launch day n buy 1 to do a review which is something out of the ordinary...compare to sony who sent out MOVE 2months before launch to be reviewed.

Plus maybe MS haven't finalised Kinect's latest software update yet. Also reviewers aren't special magical people, lol! They're just members of the public like everyone else. In fact there's nothing special about reviewers at all, they just give their opinions of games like anyone can do so their opinions are no better than the beta testers'.

Even according to the incredibly Sony biased (and seemingly 2nd home for Sony fanboys) VGChartz the Xbox360 is still 5 million ahead of the PS3 (suspiciously dropping from being almost 6 million ahead pretty much right after NPD said they'd stopped releasing monthly sales figures so now we can't check VGChartz's figures) with 43.9 million sold compared to 38.9 million PS3s sold. @markdoncaster89 Part 3: Move also has "obvious lag" depending on the game, just like Kinect. Move will probably have a little less lag but then it can't do as much as Kinect. BBC may be biased in general but not towards the Xbox360. (And I don't know about pro-American, pro-Obama maybe but that's like being anti-American, lol!) And there have been other games in the past that did it like Soul Calibur 4 where Darth Vader was exclusive to PS3 on the disc but later was made available as DLC for the Xbox360. Also games like FF13 and DMC 4 were announced as PS3 exclusives but ended up coming out on the Xbox360 at the same time, lol!

@markdoncaster89 Part 5: Both versions of Red Dead Redemption DON'T look terrible, you're just making excuses for the PS3 version looking worse. Also I think the PS3 version has more glitches too as I only encountered a few in the whole game. And there's not a PS3 multiplatform game that looks better for every Xbox360 one that looks better, it's more like 75% look better on the Xbox360 (some a lot, some a little), 25% are identical and 5% look better on the PS3.(Mostly very slightly.)

It looks under 100ms which is insignificant for bowling. If you don't have a problem with the lag in KZ2 then you shouldn't have a problem with the lag in Kinect. Unless, you know, you're a hypocrite. Games haven't all been freezing and the Xbox360 needing resetting constantly, you're just lying. No surprise there!

Not only have Sony themselves said that they have SHIPPED (NOT sold) 2.5 million units of Move in 1 month but they have NEVER said that each of those were just the Move starter packs. And you do need 4 Move wands if it's a 4 SIMULATANEOUS player game (or only 2 SIMULTANEOUS players with 2 wands each), it doesn't matter if there's only 1 game that requires 4 wands so far. They do have a few different websites for some different countries but they're sold out (of launch stock at the very least) in the UK, USA and Germany that I know of. Yes, Kinect's launch games are unfortunately mostly casual (about 90% I think) but there are definitely more core Kinect games coming out next year. If Kinect just becomes a shovelware accessory then I'll be as mad at MS as anyone else. In fact I complained to them about their slightly disappointing and over-casual E3 conference this year but they redeemed themselves somewhat at the Tokyo Game Show.

@markdoncaster89 Part 16: No, MS talking about 4 & 6 player support was very recently, WELL after the extra processor was removed. The player support has nothing to do with that processor, if it did then it would simply mean that now Kinect would take more than 1% of the Xbox360's processing power to track more than 2 players. Shock horror! Wouldn't that be awful? Lol! Kinect can track at least 40 "joint" points/42 "bones" plus at least 4 other tracking points via the IR projector/sensor alone.

@markdoncaster89 Part 17: I have looked, there were some MINOR frame-rate issues on some REVIEW COPIES of Castlevania on the Xbox360, however the RETAIL COPIES (ie. the finished game that's in the shops) have been CONFIRMED to be identical to the PS3 version other than each version having slightly different tint levels and some slightly better lighting ON THE XBOX 360 VERSION that you can see in comparisons. Disc swapping is no big deal, you have to swap discs when you change games don't you?

I'm not into MMO games but I know of at least 1 MMORPG on the Xbox360, Final Fantasy XI! (And that's on the PS2 too. If the PS2 can do MMOs then obviously the Xbox360 can.) Also the PS3 may be getting 3 MMO games but there have been MMOs announced for Xbox360 too. Steam for PS3 is just basically Sony allowing Valve to bypass PSN.

And what's the electricity bill got to do with anything? Also reviewers haven't necessarily "been in the industry", most either used to be gamers off the street or just workers from other magazines given a review job.

@markdoncaster89 Part 3: Move does have lag, there are plenty of videos that show it and reviews that talk about it. Kinect does do 1:1. You obviously don't have a clue about lag. If you play a game (on a JOYPAD) that happens to have sluggish controls then THAT'S BAD LAG! The reason lag is more noticeable on Kinect games even if it's minor is because you're able to watch the person moving and the movement on-screen at the same time, that's easier to see than joypad lag. Google "controller lag".

@markdoncaster89 Part 16: I can say it tracks 40 "joint" points and 42 "bones" (plus at least 4 other tracking points) because that's exactly what it does! All you have to do is look at the videos of what Kinect "sees" (that regular people have demoed) and when they have it in "skeleton" mode you can count all the "joint" points and "bones" yourself. Or get your Mummy to do it if you can't count that high. Or get her pimp to do it if she cant. Once again, very easily verifiable FACTS.

@markdoncaster89 Part 17: I have looked at the comparisons of Castlevania, it's YOU that haven't. It does NOT have a worse framerate or worse graphics on the Xbox360. (Or worse sound as far as I've been able to find out, but I totally accept that Blu-Ray is capable of better sound but most games don't seem to use those capabilities, maybe because of bandwith restrictions for games.) The Xbox360 has a LOT of horsepower. It's on 2 discs and even if there is any compression it'll likely be lossless

If someone spent 24 hours a day playing their Xbox360 then the batteries would last over 2.5 years before they died! @markdoncaster89 Part 3: I didn't say Move wasn't 1:1 but it has got lag and noticeable lag in some videos. Kinect is 1:1. Do you know what 1:1 means? It doesn't mean 0 lag it means accurately tracking whatever it's supposed to be tracking and reproducing the motion perfectly. Now, does the "skelton" that Kinect's software creates always do 1:1 100% of the time? (When you play properly, not just messing about.) I'm not sure but then I'm not sure if Move always does 1:1 100% of the time either.

For a start it only had 5 enemies at the hideout and the only building was a ruin of a tiny house that didn't even have a roof. Unless the shabby barn is supposed to be part of the hideout too? @markdoncaster89 Part 5: Surprisingly it did include a (also tiny) mission but that was just riding a safe back to Armadillo from the hideout with the rest of the gang chasing and shooting at you so that was pretty much the same as when you're riding any captured bounty back to town. The whole thing, including riding from the hideout to Armadillo which took the most time, took 5 minutes and the biggest challenge was probably shooting straight due to the shitty framerate, lol!

If a game sells out they can burn & press 1000s (probably at least tens of thousands) in 1 day and ship them out for the next day or day after. If Kinect sells out they can only make however many they can make each day which is going to be a lot less than DVDs that are made really quickly since Kinects are made from a load of components.

There are plenty of videos of people trying that out and if there's any lag in those it's so small that it could in fact be lag from the TV itself, lol! And like I said the Move can only handle tracking 4 "bones" (the wands) in 3D space whereas Kinect tracks at least 42 "bones" and that's not even taking into consideration the "point clouds" of the objects it's scanning that are made up of thousands of points.

kinect doesnt use a controller durrr what dont u get,u got to use gestures to move then which straight away limits the games that can be made.all u gonna get is gesture n rail based games....woop jerk off now.

The Eye Toy doesn't offer nearly as much sensitivy, nor does it track as much information. The games available on Kinect aren't possible on Eye Toy.
However, the Move which has just come out does improve the Eye Toy's capabilities considerably though. Check out our full group test of Kinect, Playstation Move and the Wii in the December issue of Focus magazine.

@markdoncaster89 Part 1: You clearly don't have a clue about Kinect. For a start there is a pet game, Kinectimals, and the PSEye (never mind the original EyeToy) has been out for 3 years so of course it has more games. However there are more launch games for Kinect than the EyeToy had in 1 year! Kinect is well beyond the PSEye/EyeToy because apart from the VGA camera & mics part of the device it's nothing like the EyeToy!

@markdoncaster89 It's not damage control it's retard control. You're the one who doesn't have a clue what they're talking about. Calling the EyeToy more advanced that the Kinect is like calling the PS2 more advanced than the Xbox360! Even the simple Ricochet game that's part of Kinect Adventures can't be done properly on an EyeToy, PSEye or even Move. You can use any part of your body in 3D space to hit the balls at the velocity of your movement. Even Move could only do that with 2 "hands".
