Holy Cow Paul Gilbert---at least try to use your right hand fingers. Maybe just add the second RH finger if all three is too difficult. You make this scale and chord rambling piece far more difficult than it should be.

The artist is hinting he can play flamenco but what is ironic is he really can't. If that was truly his best attempt at flamenco, then he is correct - he can't play flamenco. His rhythm is there but his attack is weak and we know in order to play flamenco, your attack has to be fierce for the most part of any flamenco piece. There is virtually no juice in this performance. Flamenco is based on rhythm, dance, and Excitement. There was no excitement in this performance.

first of all, he says very clearly, he cannot play real flamenco , so call this "flamingo" ..second : hes is an awsome electric guitar player , as he has said before , he does not have a classical or flamenco technique ,but still have nice things to show..this is a funny and interesting piece, of course if u r a purist or an ignorant who doest even listen before saying crap..search somewhere else

I will admit that this wasn't really good performance if this was suppose to be flamingo. However if this is what Paul Gilbert composed as flamingo music which he admitted that he can't play, I think this composition is great and he did a great job having that Spanish flavor.

C'mon guys, if you listened to his commentary on this video, he clearly issued a disclaimer that he's not an actual Flamenco guitarist. Any further opining is just overkill. And no, this is NOT fast melody. When I think of "fast melody" in the Flamenco context; Paco, Sabicas, and Victor (Serranito) Monge are the first to come to mind.

It's only a technicality about technique. Telling the truth isn't a slam. This isn't how a flamenco guitarist would play and Paul Gilbert knows it. It's also not how a classical guitarist would play and he knows that too. But look at what a stand up guy he is and self-deprecating about it too. He says this is flamingo and he says his classical is classical sorta. Very honest. Not like some guys.

that is really great classical guitar but as paul says thats not quite up to "pro" standard

i mean the shreddings insane but once your in practise its easier to shred on a classical anyway
