Real World Cribs: Episode 1 - Video

Does anyone have a good resource for people building a crib? I have no interest myself, but there was a strange post on DL from a guy who hadn't heard about SIDS until he completed building a crib using wood he seems to have milled himself. That seems something that would have been at the top of my list, looking for information about safety concerns.

That is a point when smell containment really becomes an issue.

But in my opinion that nursery looks like a trip to the emergency room just waiting to happen.

So much i see in that nursery seems dangerous, and next to a window like that seems like it could bring in a draft right on the baby.

There are many creative things you can do with a nursery that are much safer and more practical then whats here.

Im all about creativity, and giving a child a simulating atmosphere... but im also about playing it SAFE!

I have to say I agree. While I do say this was very eye pleasing and looks like a great nursery. I can't help but point out all the potential hazards. As a daycare owner for infants and toddlers I have to deal with such hazards daily and correct them.

Rounding of a bumper would not help with suffocation issues, from what I understand it's all bumpers (except the breathable ones) that cause hazards.

I love the hanging bed, however similar designs have also been recently recalled.
