@jenii84 I'm leaving Alberta in 3 weeks to move to Langley, BC. I so cannot wait. I will be so happy to be away from those rednecks and dirty assholes Edmonton has :)
@mikey77771 Let's not forget about their driving - if you're from BC, you know exactly what i'm talking about! They'll go like hell down the straight stretch but slow to 20 around the corners... and God forbid if you try to pass them!
@kris13119 Hahaha Oh I know! That's your typical Albertan. Yeah and then when that passing lane comes they just stomp that pedal to the floor, I find it so funny lol
@mikey77771 I've had the pleasure of seeing them do that in front of the RCMP, and laugh when they're arrested for it! I know a few truck drivers and have heard the hatred they have... unfortunately for Alberta drivers, playing chicken with a transport can be deadly, they'll take you out!
I wish they showed more of Victoria the City..it's always the Empress and The Legislature... So much more to Victoria than drinking tea that the Empress...this old stale view of the Capital City of the Province is so frustrating to those who live here..please.. 400 thousand people here..we all don't live in the Empress Hotel!!!!
that is one tripped out video, love the bit where that bloke is ice skating across the frozen lake. Im in Bristol england, u British Columbians have it so good, BIG LOVE FROM BRISTOL!

ALL Amazing and the People are very warm and freindly. Ramada Hotel in Vancouver was Great but was in Downtown which was a little seedy with a lot of Tramps But was only there for 2 nights.
All cities have a bad side compared to London, Vancouver was no sweat.
@JillnRe i made a comment on here a few days ago saying some of the rudest most ignorant people i have ever met have been from BC..you just proved it..what is the problem with some of you people..you seem to say the most ignorant hateful things...all of us canadians are immigrants.. we europeans came here and we took it from the natives..and all canadians are free to travel and live and work wherever they want in canada..regardless of what ignorant small minded people think..
1:50 to 1:53 is the BEST part of this vid in my oppinion.... then the part with the Rocky Mountaineer!!! and the part at 2:41 and 2:42 is the Mission Hille winery in West Kelowna, had a 150$ lunch there! all parts in this vid involving the Okanagan, Shuswaps, KVR Trail, and the trains is awsom
@mike5galicia You must be confused. The Chinese do not own the province, and there's no reason for pointing that out unless you're racist. If you look at toronto, it has about 303 days with sunshine and Vancouver has 289, on average. And yes, our mountains are quite pricey tourist attractions as they hold all sorts of minerals, but we can assure you it's free to hike on them.
@kular22 yeah..canada is supposed to be a free peace loving country, but from some of the things each province says about the other its hard to believe canada is such a great place...lots of racist people in canada..ignorant is a much better word to describe it..im white, but id much rather be associated with minorities than rednecks....canada was stolen from the natives by immigrants from europe, people fail to understand that for some reason.,well rednecks dont understand much for that matter.
@DJonX7 nope..i live in alberta and work with people from all over the world..but i cant help noticing how rude and ignorant the boys from BC are..they will just blurt out the most hateful and innappropriate things.to anyone.....just commenting on what ive experienced..they are rude to everyone..muslims, chinese, quebecors, the people born in alberta, eastern canadians..natives..etc..somone should teach them some manners before they come here..
@wizwow77 Well i'm a 17 yearold guy from BC and I love both our provinces, and respect all races. i don't know who you've met. I've also noticed lots of people from our hicktowns are douchbags.
Great cinematography of a gorgeous region. One awesome place in particular is the West Coast Wilderness Lodge on B.C.'s Sunshine Coast. Check it out on the NorthWoodsVideo YouTube Channel.
i live in a sunny place, one of the most beautiful places in Earth, Sardinia,Italy. British Columbia in the place of my soul. I learned there my destiny. I can compare the two different paradises destinated for me, my country and the country of my love. The are both HOME. From my point of view this place is a kiss of God. I love the culture, the contraddictions, the daily life there. BC, Home, for ever in my heart!
Im in a small BC town called Ladner. Ive seen all of the lower half of BC. Im going up to Fort St. John for an elk hunt in January. Im gonna see alot more of BC.
@friendlynicholas you do realize that tourism makes up a massive part of our economy and hence actually serves to create jobs and bring in income and sales tax dollars...
Ive lived in Abbotsford. (near Vancouver) my whole life. trust me its not as pristine as it is in this video where i live but yes bc is quite beautiful and I love livin here.
BC is so overhyped and overrated. Not to mention they don't show you the weather 8 months out of the year- overcast, gray, and perpetual rain.
everyone sees the beauty of the forests and mountains how about taking a good look at what the cities are like.. about 30% of people are below the poverty line. 5% are homeless. the only people that have the big houses/cotages on the ocean are the people who are rich beyond most peoples dreams either that or they dont even live in this country

@Pudgycub Your so right. I lived there for over 10 years and came back to the prairies. What a mistake that was, all I can think about is moving back. I will never take it for granted again.
@Pudgycub beauty's in the eye of the beholder as the saying goes.people are so busy with their personal matters, they forget about nature and the environment that surround them.BC is indisputably the most beautiful province in Canada.I was briefly there 'cause I was travelling across the country from London,Ontario to Vancouver,BC.I still haven't seen Vancouver Island yet which is even prettier there.
Bc is the warmest part of Canada.. and it actually snows the least here.. so if u want 2 go 2 canada.. but hate the cold come to bc.. go towards vancouver, victoria, kelowna.. they get the hottest.. and have nice weather most of the time.., but for that kind of weather i suggest you come during april-mid spetember

Columbia refers to the Columbia River (which originates in BC and flows through Washington and Oregon) named by American Captain Robert Gray for his ship Columbia. As you have probably noticed, many things in the New World ultimately trace their name back to Christopher Columbus.
The name for the province of British Columbia was chosen by Queen Victoria and proclaimed in 1858. We were part of the British empire at the time (As is the case in Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica etc., the British monarch is still Canada's "ceremonial" head of state).
Aww superjoka.. no it was not some American who named BC.. sigh.
Queen Victoria named the province British Columbia. Given that the newly formed Government of Canada maintained ties with the British Monarchy, and given that during the 1870's there were still tensions between the British and the Americans over land, the Queen was letting it be known that it was British territory.
Hey Jebus00.. if you look in some history text books this sorta thing happens alot. Countries are beaten civilzations are fought and won or lost. The Salish lost.... Im sure the Scotts feel the same way. War sucks.
British Columbia is Native Salish land that has been infested with all sorts of trash from Ireland, England, Ukraine, Poland etc! You might give the world bullshit about BC being the best place on earth. It;s not your loand you thieves, it's Salish land!!!!
actually, The best place on earth is more of description of my beautiful province. B.C.'s actual motto is "Splendor sine occasu" Latin for "Splendour without Diminishment". Thanks. Also I'm pretty sure that there are deserts in Alberta....Hellllooooo Drumheller!!!! I could be wrong.
"Super, Natural British Columbia" and "Beautiful British Columbia" are so much better than the current motto: "The Best Place On Earth". It just tries way too hard...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
British Columbia might be beautiful but there's one thing I hate about it. It's those little racist baby boomers! I've been to other places in Canada and older people were so much nicer there, they weren't like those fucking bunch of wanna be Brit proons!
Move to the states then if Vancouver is "shitty" and theres no "big ass waterfalls" you whiner.
Why"d you bother going on a hike if your just going to come home and whine the next day? I've been on hikes and its simply beauiful man, appreciate what you have, (or move away)
you are really fucking stupid arent you? and dont reply back u bore me, also British columbia looks nothing like this, it beutiful but it is definatly not as nice as they make it look.
How they try to make it look? This video is really british columbia.... either you didnt travel well enough in BC or you can just not be satisfied enough. I am from eastern canada and from Victoria to Calgary, Canada is trully a one of kind masterpierce of nature.
You're obviously not going in the right places. I've seen almost all of those places shown in the footage and BC is exactly like it's portrayed in terms of landscapes!
Im from BC. This is definatly NOT BRITISH COLUMBIA! LIKE JUNGLE? no... there is no jungle. no big ass waterfalls. Vancouver is a shitty place to live. Visi westbank its the best but really. that is a totally FAKE vid. The best thing about BC is the bud.
The rest of the world can become like BC. I have lived in Squamish my whole life and can say that overpopulation is the one thing that is killing our planet's environment. It bothers me that in other countries there are scarce natural areas that are being urbanized. I think that the world needs a worldwide one child policy. Nature will slowly come back to other countries and they can market their landscapes just like we have in BC. I love the provincial parks here.
im from britain and can honestly say british columbia is the best place on earth for sheer breath taking beauty. id love to live in canada but need to proove my worth to the country.
They forgot the pictures of the downtown eastside.

@miketimlin. Black Tusk (In Garibaldi Prov. Park) is the one they're climbing. The Garibaldi Massif is the one in the background.

Okay, I get it, deny the beauty to keep the pikeys away, good thinking.
Yeah, its all CG.
Too funny !
I lived there 6 years, and I was blown away every morning I looked out the window, no matter where I was living, Van Victoria, etc.

British Columbia has always felt like home to me.
musicluver85 2 years ago
Columbia refers to the Columbia River (which originates in BC and flows through Washington and Oregon) named by American Captain Robert Gray for his ship Columbia. As you have probably noticed, many things in the New World ultimately trace their name back to Christopher Columbus.
FernieSkier 2 years ago
The name for the province of British Columbia was chosen by Queen Victoria and proclaimed in 1858. We were part of the British empire at the time (As is the case in Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica etc., the British monarch is still Canada's "ceremonial" head of state).
FernieSkier 2 years ago
Aww superjoka.. no it was not some American who named BC.. sigh.
Queen Victoria named the province British Columbia. Given that the newly formed Government of Canada maintained ties with the British Monarchy, and given that during the 1870's there were still tensions between the British and the Americans over land, the Queen was letting it be known that it was British territory.

Hey Jebus00.. if you look in some history text books this sorta thing happens alot. Countries are beaten civilzations are fought and won or lost. The Salish lost.... Im sure the Scotts feel the same way. War sucks.
lucutes 2 years ago
British Columbia is Native Salish land that has been infested with all sorts of trash from Ireland, England, Ukraine, Poland etc! You might give the world bullshit about BC being the best place on earth. It;s not your loand you thieves, it's Salish land!!!!
jebus0000000 2 years ago
actually, The best place on earth is more of description of my beautiful province. B.C.'s actual motto is "Splendor sine occasu" Latin for "Splendour without Diminishment". Thanks. Also I'm pretty sure that there are deserts in Alberta....Hellllooooo Drumheller!!!! I could be wrong.
Theworldkicks 2 years ago 4
@Theworldkicks ARROGANT STATEMENT. WHO THE HELL DOES PREMIER CAMPBELL THINK HE IS CALLING BC THE 'BEST PLACE ON EARTH'.
thewun1 1 year ago
@thewun1 Welcome to BC. He has to justify the ridiculous cost of living in his city. HST woohoo!!
thewun1 1 year ago
@Theworldkicks hi.. the drumheller area has badlands, not deserts but it's hot enough to feel like it sometime! only the states has a desert..
piperfawn 1 year ago
@Theworldkicks ossoyoos is the only desert in canada. there is none in alberta.
2layers 1 year ago
@2layers I live in Kamloops; it is a semi arid desert here.
rodz0r 1 year ago
@Theworldkicks Your right, Alberta does have deserts, The Alberta Badlands are a desert, which is where Drummerheller is. It's very dry there.

"Super, Natural British Columbia" and "Beautiful British Columbia" are so much better than the current motto: "The Best Place On Earth". It just tries way too hard...
SenhordoBonfim 2 years ago
"The Best Place On Earth" is the best moto ever 'cause it helps to sell real estate to asian investors.
cannotwest 2 years ago
well there is a really cool looking desert like place near Ft Chipawan in Alberta. And there is also Drummheller.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
British Columbia might be beautiful but there's one thing I hate about it. It's those little racist baby boomers! I've been to other places in Canada and older people were so much nicer there, they weren't like those fucking bunch of wanna be Brit proons!
jebus0000000 2 years ago
haha I am, But bc is nothing like that.

TheHondaAbuser 2 years ago
@TheHondaAbuser
Move to the states then if Vancouver is "shitty" and theres no "big ass waterfalls" you whiner.
Why"d you bother going on a hike if your just going to come home and whine the next day? I've been on hikes and its simply beauiful man, appreciate what you have, (or move away)

How they try to make it look? This video is really british columbia.... either you didnt travel well enough in BC or you can just not be satisfied enough. I am from eastern canada and from Victoria to Calgary, Canada is trully a one of kind masterpierce of nature.
canucks4ever83 2 years ago 2
@canucks4ever83 true - I've travelled by land from east to west Canada, and it's really beautiful

TheHondaAbuser 2 years ago
You're obviously not going in the right places. I've seen almost all of those places shown in the footage and BC is exactly like it's portrayed in terms of landscapes!
katapilla22 2 years ago
Actually, most scenery looks better in video.
xD
It's not just this.
I live here too and I know that the scenery in this video is real.
It's just that it looks better on a screen than in real life :)

TheHondaAbuser 2 years ago
This just really makes me want to go camping.
whateverfloats 2 years ago 2
The rest of the world can become like BC. I have lived in Squamish my whole life and can say that overpopulation is the one thing that is killing our planet's environment. It bothers me that in other countries there are scarce natural areas that are being urbanized. I think that the world needs a worldwide one child policy. Nature will slowly come back to other countries and they can market their landscapes just like we have in BC. I love the provincial parks here.
SMRPGFAN101 2 years ago
I love Squamish, such a cosy friendly town.
I've also been camping around those parts, It's a nice break from Vancouver. :P
