@mexiacn100boy The only reason the problem persists is because the govt of mexico in the past have continued to do business with the cartels and look the other way for to long. now the cartels have aquired to much power for the govt to control. People in the U.S. were getting drugs from colombians before they were moving thru mex. Nothing has changed except the mexicans govt passive attitude from the past. U.S. govt officials are making money off this too. Thats why obama was letting guns walk.

@alaysssha1 Mexico doesnt need to legalize the drugs, its the U.S.A who needs to do it, Mexico isnt even in the top 10 drug consuming countries at all, Spain consumes more drugs than Mexico. The problem here is that the U.S just doesnt want to do it. Mexican cartels are not supplying Mexican states with drugs, they are supplying the U.S and their demand on drugs.

When President Fox declared war on the cartels, he meant it. They put a contract out for his head. Fox didn't have them arrested. He had them killed. President Calderon has let the cartels get completely out of control. When Fox was president things where getting better in mexico and the cartels were losing. You didn't here about 17 people killed in Juarez back yard birthday party for a 15 year old. Fox had the respect of the U.S. Calderon comes here and loses respect with every word he speaks.

It's extremely irritating how people believe that violence has increased because the govt has "cracked down" on the cartels. I cant believe people actually think that the mexican military and federal police are actually combating organizaed crime. They are only there to support the highest paying cartel (in this case the sinaloa cartel). Not only are they corrupt, but the military has it's own little "business" of extorting and robbing civilians" open ur eyes people.
