  • if people want to bitch about everything, post it in a blog, not on youtube, on someones account. what people choose to do is their own business not yours. whether it be right or wrong, their lives not yours. just give it up. you probably do things too that others may complain about too.

  • this is STUPID 1) nothing happens 2) ITS STUPID

  • It's scary..

  • I love my dog so much, she's the softest dog in the world but I would still NEVER trust it with my baby, dogs are animals they have instincts that they are born with, this dog will snap one day and it will be the parents fault not the dogs, totally irresponsible.

  • Most bite victims are children and most of those are bitten by their own family dog in their own home...and this video is a classic example of why that is. STUPID!!!

  • Stupid parenting irresponsible dog ownership. This isn't funny, it's appalling

  • I love that there are so many people calling the parents out on their completely ignorant behaviour. This isn't funny, it's breath-takingly stupid.

  • PSA: I will keep saying it as long as people keep doing this. It is NOT worth it to get a cute picture of your baby and your dog to risk a bite to your child and euthanasia for your dog! If you love them DON'T TRY THIS! Watch body language at 0.47 secs - totally freezes. That very quick moment of stiffness was the dog making a decision, luckily he chose to get up & move, but it could have been SNAP/CRUNCH

  • What a good dog, and what a terrible, irresponsible, ignorant parent.

  • As a professional positive trainer and someone who, coincidentally, has owned and trained Ridgebacks for 17 years, I pray that your dog was bred by a responsible breeder who sees this video and is horrified at how irresponsible you, as puppy buyers, turned out to be. There is so much information out there on dogs and babies it's unlikely that you remained unaware of of the potential danger of putting your baby, and dog, in such a high risk situation. If you really didn't know, you do now.

  • All it needs is for the kid to try to grab and poke the poor dog in the eye or similar and the parents will be complaining that the poor dog snapped and probably have it euthanased. They ar etaking advantage of the dog's good nature.

  • Are you mad! My dog is fantastic with kids in fact he thinks he is one! But, I NEVER let the kids go near or touch him if he has a chew or bone, in fact most times he has them when the kids arent around! All It needs is one mistake from the dog which can happen then you will have an injured child, and a dead dog. Me personally i am not willing to put either of them in that position, I love them both to much!

  • This dog may never hurt this child, however, it is the height of irresponsibility to place an infant's face that close to a dog who is chewing a bone. This dog is very tolerant now, but if you watch carefully, you will notice he does freeze for a millisecond at one point in the film. That is a signal that says "my bone, please don't touch it." When this child is a toddler, things may not be the same from the dog's perspective if he does grab for the bone. Prevention is important!!!!

  • When I watch videos like this, I realize how much people DON'T understand about dogs. When this dog is finally pushed beyond it's limits, the baby will be bitten in the face and the dog will pay for it, not the clueless, irresponsible parents. We really need a nationally televised campaign to help people understand how to safely interact with dogs. We could start by realizing that they are not little people in fur coats and when pushed too far they use their teeth to resolve issues.

  • This is true most dogs do behave well with kids but to be honest it is still not a good idea to let them near dogs while eating . Dogs are after all animals not humans so still have wildness still in them I know this we had a well behaved golden Lab but he still bit my nephew as he was playing in hes basket when he was eating . Dogs have terrortorries so you need to respect them .

  • i dont get it

  • this baby is very gentle.

  • what a dumb video

  • Ridgebacks are AWSOME!!!

  • Wow this is one clever dog.

  • I was a little scared for the baby but the dog is clearly well trained.

  • that is cute especially the baby

  • that dogs good my dog would take his face off if he went near her eating

  • I kept expecting the dog to attack the baby.

  • shouldn't go near to dogs when they are eating. lol ~

  • The dog is playing hard to get lol

  • All these idiots claiming to know better. If not for youtube, they'd probably be in denial about just how many parents allow their children to mingle freely with a WELL-TRAINED dog like this in reality.

  • in the description i first thuoght that it said ''exploding rabies''

  • And u people wonder y ur kid gets bite u fuckn idiots!!!!!! What kind of parents do you think you r? Honestly just because fido doesn't hurt anyone now doesn't mean he can't turn!!!!! Never leave a child with a dog with treats or food unless u feel like spending time and money sitting in emerge!!!!

  • @Lesbianloverz666 MOST dogs are very gentle, loving and playful towards children. They're not stupid. They know the difference between an adult and a baby. Just because some dogs hurt children does not mean all do. In fact, there are far more PEOPLE that hurt children than dogs, but I don't see people saying "don't leave your kid with a human".

  • @iadmireavril No one is saying not to leave a child in the company of a dog, they are saying don't do it without adult supervision. Almost every dog bite case I hear has a component of dog being undersocialized, or dog giving unheeded warnings (some of which are nothing more than a slight freeze or a widened eye), or being left alone with a child under age 10. Most dogs are great. But, do you really want to play Russian roulette with a kid's face? Better safe than sorry.

  • @Lesbianloverz666 So just how far should the baby be from the dog? Should they be kept at a certain distance at all times and the baby not allowed to go near the dog? What makes you think that even if the parent is carrying the baby next to the dog that the baby can't get bitten anyway? If your dog cannot be trusted enough to eat next to kids like the one in the video, then it cannot be trusted AT ALL with a kid.

  • Stewie: hey Brian,Brian Brian:what I'm eating stewie:I wanna touch your paw

  • Why are you filming while your baby is playing with a dogs food? Not funny not safe! Remember babies aren't toys to star in shitty home videos

  • wasn't funny

  • cute but dngerus if the dog is not trained propperley

  • Awesome dog

  • shit ...dog is eating ...most dog attack when their eating

  • new top comment plz :D

  • fuck this parents....stupid...poor child

  • The two most cutest things in the world

  • que peligro, que padres tan hijueputas de inresponsables

  • The baby is so lucky that the dog didn't attack him and it wasn't even funny

  • everybody chill the fuck out holy shit, you weren't there, every situation is different, that dog is obviously very well tempered and the parents trust it to be around their baby, the dog didn't do anything to the baby! that speaks for something. stfu everybody

  • OK I DIDN'T LAUGH OR AT LEAST GRIN! THAT WAS DANGEROUS! YOU PUT A BABY IN HARM!

  • how was that dog funny that was a useless video

  • i think it all depends on how long you've had your dog and how well you've trained it. i've watched a video where a very active and hungry doberman was eating and as soon as his owner came near the bowl of food or put his hand in the bowl the dog automatically stopped eating and only continued once he left.

if you know your dog well and establish your family as alpha they will respect you and follow your lead--there are no bad dogs...only poorly trained ones by bad owners

  • This dog looks like he's about 10 years old. I'm sure these people have had this dog long enough to know him inside out and know that their baby is in no harm, and apparently, this video proves them right. This dog is very gentle. To feel sorry for this baby is foolish because it looks like he's got unconditional love from the dog as well. Don't be so ignorant and quick to judge.

  • i am not amused.

  • I have had German Shepherds, Dobermans, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Collies, Cocker Spaniels, Maltese, French Poodles & Mini Dachshunds...I loved them all...I would never.....never...allow my children near my Dogs when they are eating. I work with Dogs is an Animal Shelter....we are fully aware of the consequences of exposing young children to Dogs whilst they are eating...if the Dog attacked the child it would be only protecting its food. One should never take the risk - Dogs will be Dogs!!!!!

  • If your dog(s) doesn't listen to you then its probably a good idea to keep the baby away from the dog until he learns that baby must be respected. That's key. Establish to your pet the baby MUST be respected and you must create boundaries.

  • You could put your face right in my dogs bowl of food and my dog will either eat around your face or totally stop eating. You have to realize that dogs are pack animals they know how to behave with little kids/pups(instinctively) if you trained them right.. FYI not hard to do so. Hate to get on my Cesar Milan tip but If you are the pack leader YOU call the rules.

  • For some reason all dogs are good with babies

  • I feel bad for the baby he just wanted to hug the dog :*(

  • dog eating a baby are not a good mix but that dog has good temperment!!!

  • When I was young (maybe 3-5, I can't remember exactly) I was bit by a dog. I just went to pet it and it snapped at my hand. I didn't realize that the dog was eating a treat and thought I was going to take it from him. Thankfully I don't have a fear of dogs because of that incident, but I remember it vividly and still have a scar. I think that it absolutely depends on the dog though. If the owners know that the dog will not bite if you take or touch his food than I would say this is okay.

  • I agree in theory that children should not be around dogs that have food. But this completely depends on the dog. our dog has been trained since two months of age to behave properly with bones/dinner or treats. This training is done by consistently taking away the dogs bone or treat and giving them a piece of hot dog or meat with a lot of praise. This allows the dog to become comfotable with people close to it and with people taking away its food. I would trust my dog with any child

  • wow, i was so scared for the baby watching this video...but cute vid considering nothing bad happened..good dog!!!

  • I know that my dog wouldnt hurt my baby and neither would the one in the vid.

  • Not funny.....

  • Not funny,,,,

  • not funny,,,,

  • ummmm stupid video, misleading tittle!!!

  • Yeah i was filled with laughter NOT

  • SAME GOES FOR HUMANS ANY HUMAN CAN TURN ON ANYONE THEN! SO MY QUESTION IS WHY DO HUMANS KEEP MULTIPLYING THEN? ANYONE AND ANYTHING CAN TURN AT ANYTIME SO LETS ALL LIVE IN A BUBBLE SHALL WE!!!! I HATE HOW HUMANS THINK THEY ARE SUPERIOR TO EVERYTHING ELSE ITS SICKENING

  • wow who ever put the first comment is ignorant!!! get a life, people say stupid shit like that o why would you put your baby so close to a dog with food . no one knows a dog better then its owner sorry. I feel sorry for you your also one of those people that think pits are mean too huh ? Personally i think dogs are better then humans, and people like you that are nieve and hate on dogs just make my case stand corrected.

  • @uhlenhake1990 Yes true, nobody knows a dog better than their owners, but i have a boxer, the most gentle dog i have ever seen, but i wud not put her near a baby while she has a bone, its common sense!dogs are great, i absolutely adore them but there are limits, dogs are possessive animals, the best dogs in the world can turn if they feel threatened, especially when it comes to food, i wud trust my dog with anybody who if she turned had some hope of defending themselves not a defenseless baby!

  • So funny ha ha ha ........

  • I didnt find a problem with the kid being with the big dog...the owners obviously know that their dog wont hurt the kid.....I thought the kids face was cute when the dog got up and moved..haha

  • Oh you have got to be kidding....the dog has an IQ higher than its owner!!! What were they thinking? Someone call child protective services on these idiots!!!

  • Well... I dont think this video is funny, but I think it is very cute ;oD.

  • Funny my ass

  • What kind of dog is that? if you dont mind me asking.

  • @TheYoshiKid looks like a rhodesian ridgeback

  • You have to be VERY naive to think that your perfect pet (who is an ANIMAL remember) would NEVER even nip a child. Dogs nip their puppies to correct them, an innocent nip could be a permanent disfigurement to this or any child. I'm not even talking about a mauling; a nip on the ear, nose, eye.

Honest to god. My dog is a loveable llhasa mix, I can take ANYTHING away from him and he's very docile. But I would never put a young child in this predicament it's idiotic; you just never know.

  • ugh, i waited for something funny to happen and nothing did!

This is an example of moronic parenting... Dogs are animals, they have feelings moods and emotions... if that baby poked that dog in the eye or whatever and it bit him the dog gets put down... hows that fair.

Stupid people shoudlnt be allowed to have children

  • This is an example of how, a dog should have to behave close to baby

  • Ok that's bull how you have a baby so close to a dog that's eating a bone. That's how babies get attacked by dogs then the poor dogs get put down cause idiots like you. The dog will think that the baby is trying to steal his bone and attack the baby. Use your head you idiot keep your baby safe.

  • @shukielara1 hey dumbass there is nice dogs out there

  • Oh crap, I'll never get that 1:05 back that I just wasted

  • its not that funny

  • Comment removed

  • boring

  • CUTE !!

  • I find both mammals to be cute as a button However; I had a German Shepherd and he was even big to me as a tall 8 year old, and even bigger to my 4 year old sis' when he was 3 years himself...as he got older and got to eat those Milk bones--try going anywhere near him when he has one; you risk getting your hands bitten off...The first sign is that he'll move away or go into his corner to eat it, do it again, you get a growl--do it a third time...Saliva will fly...I did it before! Don't! Do it!

  • respect...i know some dogs how don't take is so easy, when someone takes them food^^

  • its definitely not funny...but at least its cute

  • sooo funny i loved it

  • definitely NOT funny at all. Please delete.

  • im the one in my family with the best sence of humor and didn't laugh i wish there was a gay button

  • wow halarious (NOT)

  • I'm in shock......dumb, dumb humans - parents must dislike this child....everyone knows - do not put young children with big dogs...or any dog that is eating food etc. dog may attack. Not deliberately just protecting what belongs to it. I adore dogs but would never be so stupid as to put a young child in a situation like this...I feel sorry for the child & the dog...time they got NEW Parents/Owners

  • @nongenius66 yeah i was thinking that was a bit dodgy, just as well the dog has a good temperment but hmmm....i wouldn't risk it!

  • @nongenius66 I understand what you're saying. Anything can happen. But I do truly believe that some owners know their animals very well...

We have a 90 pound baby of lab and I can't imagine him ever reacting inappropriately with another person or with a young child. He's pretty tried, tested and true. We took his food and bones away from him and varying points while raising him specifically so as to discourage aggression.

I think most dogs have a different relationship with babies as well.

  • @wingtime

Do you actually think that you have some special power? Sure you're dog is probably as sweet as mine (EVERYONE is jealous of what a good dog I have...they tell me!) But I'd NEVER put a baby or young child near my dog while he's eating or chewing a bone. Dog's don't always think, they often react when it comes to food. Do I think my dog would bite? NO WAY!! Do I think it could NEVER happen to me?(my dog biting) NO WAY! It sure could! He's a DOG!

  • @nongenius66 Calm down lol...fucking hypocrite

  • @nongenius66 You're an idiot. No one knows the dog better than it's owner, and if they see fit that to dog can be with the child then let them be. My dog for example has never even growled at me when I put my hands near his food. He could care less.

  • @nongenius66 I said the same thing on another board and I was called stupid and I have no idea what I was talking about .

  • dogs lasted as long as they have, alongside man and in their capacity as pets, probably in part due to their tolerance of these kind of situations. and that said, the dog knows the score, clearly.

  • @nongenius66 I think a well-behaved dog with no history of violence is pretty safe to leave your baby with - supervised of course - so long as the dog isn't too hyperactive and prone to accidentally knocking the baby into something or trampling them. Most dogs understand what a baby is and are accordingly gentle, especially if they're part of the same household. Around food or treats, though... yeah, that's asking for trouble.

  • @nongenius66 you don't even know that dog.. if you had children and a dog you would know that dogs are just like parents they see that babies are very vunerable just like puppies so they act calm around young children. stop trying to act smart.

  • @nongenius66 if the dog is well tempered like this one is then it's fine

my BIG dog, yeah we can let her eat her foof out of her bowl and just take it from her like that and she doesn't get mad she's sad and wants it back... not all big dogs are mean like people think, most of the time the little ones are

  • @nongenius66

Some dogs have been raised around babies their entire lives, and they know what is acceptable.

  • Comment removed

  • @nongenius66 It's called training. My dog doesn't care a bit when you mess with him while he's eating. As a matter of fact, i've subconsciously made a habit of petting him while he's eating in the mornings. Typically because I have nothing else to do while I wait for him. If you make them understand that food in a certain bowl is theirs. They no longer feel the need to protect it. If you confuse them by feeding them table scraps, or out of different bowls, you may disrupt this balance though.

  • @nongenius66 do you have the same philosophy with pitbulls too??

  • @nongenius66 you dumb fuck...you can put a dog around a baby if the dog is good around kids. which, obviously this dog IS good around kids. i'd rather put my daughter around a big dog than a little ankle biter dog. my daughter has been crawling all over our DOBERMAN since the day she could crawl. now she's two. she's stolen her food bowl while he's eating, taken his bone, rode him like a horse, and guess what? he's NEVER even growled at her! don't judge these parents. asshole.

  • @chrisbuffoni You have a great dog. But, not everyone does. The idea that a dog doesn't growl may provided a false sense of security to others - if they've punished the dog for growling at their kid, for example, the dog may think it has no alternative but to go right to a bite if it feels the need for more personal space! As a trainer, I could tell you horror stories - all from people who thought their dog incapable of biting. They almost always think it "came out of nowhere" but it didn't.

  • What a good dog! Beautiful too!

  • i've watched dogs do this too baby kittens. it won't even touch the baby because it knows the humans are so in love with it, and the dog doesn't want to get in trouble. even if its eating xD

  • Flippen hell!!! I was so tensed up then cause I had a dog who would go flippen mad! if you went near her treat and the fact nothing happened I thought Wow I had a pretty angry little dog :D Loved her to bits though

  • If the dog gets to bite the baby, the animal would have paid for the mistakes of people like this who leave a baby near a dog that is eating or chewing something. I don't know where its people mind srly...

  • That's good that the dog doesn't get possessive with his chew toy and moves away but then comes back and just picks it up and moves away with it with no fuss.

  • rofl so cute :D
