  • Another wow! When I first looked at this I thought it was just a white bowl, with white eggs in it, and thought "How hard can that be?" There's an abundance of color in this painting. Bravo!

  • perfect.

  • Can you make video inserts with normal speed. For example 15 seconds of every stage. Thanks

  • u never seize to amaze!

  • These vids are great Jos, the more we learn and the better we train our eyes, the more we see details we missed before in previous viewings, of the same video. Great exercise for attention and understanding your process :)

  • right around 0:08 the timing of you adjusting the egg on the right makes it look like you simply push it over.

  • @crabmble650 yes it looks funny. And really that is what is taking place, ony I'm pushing the paint. Before I started to paint I put some oil on the surface, so the paint slides over it easily....

  • Fabulous, please share the colours you are using for the eggs.

    Thanks :o)

  • @KittyTempleton hi, well titanium white, ultramarine blue dark and transparent oxide red to make basic greys, and then maybe some cadmium yellow dark in the light parts and dioxazine purple in cooler parts. But it's difficult to tell,I dont use fixed formulas. I just look and match the color I see....

  • your such a wonderful artist who are your inspirations?

  • @itricke hi I like dutch painters Piet Sebens and Henk Helmantel, but also look a lot at Julian Merrow Smith, Jeremy Lipking...

  • Awesome!! ❤

  • @ForSunny2 (i "mute" the sound so that i can focus on your skillful work) thank you for sharing .....

  • I want to pick an egg from the bowl! Love the perfection. Classic! Thanks for sharing your talent and hard work.

  • Oh man, I hate painting around cylinder-like objects (like the top of the bowl)! Fascinating you can pull it off so well -- no doubt years of hard work and experience. Thanks for sharing your process.

  • do you have any illustrative work?

  • @woodleyerilas hi, do you mean something like book covers etc? No, only free art work until now...

  • why do you turn the canvas over?

  • @Majoofi hi, I sometimes need to work in an area, with the tip of the brush pointing downward or to the right. As I'm a right handed person, it is then easier to rotate the canvas instead of the brush..

  • very very very nice..

    beautiful..

    looks to much real..

you are a great artist.. <3

  • Love your work. Do you offer lessons?

  • egg shells have a very interesting way of absorbing light while reflecting it, much like human skin. you did a great job of creating that effect, it looks so realistic!

  • i'm just wandering HOW it could be so realistic??!!

    excellent!

  • @ArdillaFuria hi, most importantly : train you observation skill. Ie learn to differentiate between small variations in hue/value/saturation...

  • Awesome!!

  • amazing work, this is one of my favorites!!

  • This is fantastic! Really good!

  • fantasch Jos, echt heel goed.

  • Nice!
