@DeathBloke1 That's how first thought it was too, BUT someone told me that the "-5 reload speed" actually means "Minus 5% to reload TIME" ... And it does mean it's faster to relad. I gotta fix that in the description..

But anyway, it means -5% the reload time.. in other words +5% to the reload speed.

and for my HC run I'm gonna be using:

Forged engineering suit (15% medpack bonus)

EarthGov Pulse rifle(alt-fire damage +5%, reload speed -10%),

Forged Plasma cutter (primary fire damage +10%, reload speed -5%),

Bloody Force gun (alt-fire damage +10%, firing speed +5%),

Heavy-Duty Contact Beam (primary fire damage +5%, primary fire charge reduced by 0.1s) most of the time.

OR the EarthGov suit with all the EarthGov weapons to maximize the damage. (suit adds 5% dmg to pulse, seeker & detonator)

@INTYfromDQ All the DLC you've bought can be found free from any store in the game.

But what do you mean by "Zealot Force gun and suit?" There's no Force Gun in the Supernova pack... or anything called Zealot Suit or Zealot Force gun on the DLC's. The list of items found in this DLC can be found in the description. or am I missing something?

If you want a better Force Gun though, there's the "Bloody force gun" (alt-fire damage +10%, firing speed +5%) in Martial Law pack.

@xxazpxx I think the Elite Advanced suit is probably the best one to go in Hardcore. But some of the weapons from these packs are way better than the normal weapons... so try buying a DLC that has your favourite weapons :)

And I guess I'd go with supernova pack (this one), if only choosing one. It has most items, good weapons (rivet gun for non pre-orders and a great plasma cutter), a medpack bonus suit etc. But I don't wanna decide for you :S So you decide :)

@xxazpxx oh yeah, damnit, sorry I just woke up so I forgot you can't get the Elite suits to Hardcore mode.... yeah so you can't use the Elite advanced suit in hardcore because you have to start it fresh....

So, I'd say that especially the 15% medpack bonus suit in this one helps alot. And so do the weapons.

Wow. The Agility Advanced Suit and the Heavy Duty Vintage Suit are both fails. If you combined their special functionality together and then made it better, by quite a bit, it would equal the Advanced Elite Suit's special functionality. (It's special functionality is 15% increased stasis duration and 10% increased weapon damage to everything, not to mention the 25% armor and 25 inventory slots.)But at least the other suits are free in the store! (If you buy the DLC or $5 or so.)

@CampfirePwnage Yeah, kinda true... They're pretty much 100% useless after you get the Elite Advanced suit.

Though Forged Engineering suit does give you the medpack bonus... but hmm... if I remember correctly, the elite engineering suit gives you the same thing and you get it without buying any DLC?

So sure, the suits are pretty useless for veterans. But the weapons still pack a punch I guess. :)

AND at least you can use the DLC in hardcore.. as you can't get the newgame+ suits to HC

@00Escoly00 yeah, they do some sort of colour changes or logos or whatever in them. EarthGov weapons have a camoflage pattern if I remember correctly, the bloody weapons are.. well, bloody etc.

No huge differences, more like small touches to the skin.

After you download the pack just go to Dead Space 2 single player and you'll see them at the store. They won't cost anything in game so you can just add them into your inventory.

They also carry over the node upgrades you got from your default weapon as well.

@557011 Supernova pack has at least Forged Engineering suit in it that gives you a 15% more health from every health item and Agility Advanced suit for the later levels that has +10% to stasis duration (handy with a fully upgraded stasis... better to slow the enemies down and RUN in the later levels :)

Though the suits you get from the game while playing New Game+ are good too. (the last one you get in chapter 11 and it gives you 10% damage boost to all weapons and 15% to stasis duration)
