  • Lets just buy us one of those haunted hotels or something and put the ghost and visitors on youtube. We might make a few friends along the way terrestrial or otherwise.

  • 5 stars!

  • lol @ in the bag

  • hey....cool.........i am not sure about that either!the copyright thing....because as a musician---i like playing around with cover songs and changing the lyrics........i think copyright and payments to musician laws need to change-i think we should be allowed use anything and everything &if its good get paid 4 it

  • We love you too but can you leave the zip open on the bag a little so we can get some air, it's a little cramped and warm! Cheers, Lesley

  • LOL! I'll poke some holes like the kids do with a jar full of grasshoppers.

  • It is amazing that YT still has not worked out the legal angle of regarding the video makers like disk jockeys who can use tracks in the vids.

There are some loopholes. You can obscure the music in various ways to where it is not copyright infringement.

  • Like how, voice over, stuff like that?

  • yes one thing is that if someone is talking over the music, it's no longer a commercial release of the song. It helps if there are other factors like using only segments of the song instead of the whole thing. One usual clear shot is for the music to be caught by the camera's mic instead of the pure mp3 version embedded in the video editor.

  • I suspect that YT judges more on the complaining company's size rather than the laws regarding infringement though. If the company is huge, YT will delete and suspend over any complaint they make even if it wasn't infringement.

  • Thanks for the helpfull hints, bro.

  • Awesome light on that brick wall this time....wow.

in the bag...i lovve to be in the bag. especially going to hard to get to places.

  • LOL! Should I poke holes in the bag so everyone can breath?

  • I usually use really unknown music and they ask me who sings and things like that... I see it as WE giving free advertising to these artists, we don't profit or get famous... I DON'T EVEN USE TAGS that could lead anyone to watch my video based in the music but youtube is stupid :'(

  • It's crazy, But I have you in the bag! LOL!

  • Oooh I'm in a bag with Tomstermusic. *wink*

  • LOL! Oh my!

  • I think using music in a video actaully promotes it. I first heard of a number of artists thru youtube etc. We are giving them FREE advertising :P Just my opinion.

  • Waiting patiently for Opus 40. :D I believe the copyright issue is a tad ridiculous. I actually removed 15 or so of my vids because I had music playing in the background on my stereo. I know it all boils down to the bottom line. I shall email you so we can keep in touch in the event that your acct is suspended. I certainly hope this one isn't shut down b/c it rocks!!!

  • Hey, Gemm! I just sent an email to you! Someone actually informed me that it seems the copyrighted MUSIC issues have been solved! I put a link to the related video in the description box of this video.

  • hey... i justt watched all three right now.. thanks man.. i appreciate the shout out.. very good chain of videos.. you're aweesome man.. btw can u email me sum of ur videos so i can use some clips in a new video? if u dont want to then no worries but would be greatly appreciated :) lol

  • You should hav'm

  • EMI and others are now converging with YouTube. My friend is huge on the subject and I will find out more for you... remind me if I forget. It is very recent that this happened. ~peace

  • Thanks! Reminding you! LOL!

  • That's because it's a prviate place. You aren't even supposed to rebroadcast radio stations in public places like restaurants... they can get fined for that.

  • I see. Hey, Thanks for giving Oakenbow9 a nudge!

  • I got issues with it too. I consider it a compliment to the artist to put them out there. And it smells here in the bag.

  • Do I need to poke more holes in it?

  • I think eventually the music companies will realize tthat people using their music in videos is a benefit to their business and that suing someone for using their music is a liablity to their business. I'm having a hard time breathing in here with all these people.

  • I hope you're right, bro! And what do you mean, "..all these people"?

  • All these people in this bag.

  • LOL! Clever! *Pokes holes in bag 'o subs like a child does with a jar of grasshoppers*

  • Thanks. The freah air is nice.

  • That's what she said.

    maps

  • Is everyone ok in there? Should I put some food and water?

  • A wifi connection would be good. I need to catch up on some YouTube videos.

    :-)

  • LOL! *Connects wifi* Thanks for encouraging "Oakenbow9"! You will not be dissapointed.

  • Food woukld be good but you might want to give us some Beano too.

  • LOL! I'd better bcause if i'm gonna be carrying this thing, I don't want people looking at me funny.

  • Woo Hoo! I'm in the bag =)

  • Yeah, you are!

  • Hey, you're everywhere!

    :-)~

  • Yeah I know what you mean with the copyright shite... I have the YT downers... Im just kinda down on YT right now... I hope it passes..and fast... I have so many videos I want and need to shoot.. I just cant get in the mood... 5*'s man, You truly rock!! ~HiGH HeaD JeSTeR~

  • I know exactly what you mean, bro! Grab some beers, go to the local festeval of whatever, and get it on tape! THAT should help!

  • sweet video dude, you said it well. just like dancing.

  • *puts joelovesyou in bag*

  • YouTube has featured videos with copyright protected music before and then turned around and pulled it because of that later on. YT's priorities really do appear unclear at times.

One of the reasons I switched over was to remove uncleared tunes and repost so I could still preserve many of my most prized video possessions.

Happy to be in the bag here! LOL

By the way, that was cool getting to watch the building behind you turn orange thanks to the sunset.

    :-)

  • It's very confusing. Oh stop! You KNOW YOU are in the bag! And I knew YOU would like this building!

  • Dude, I have the same worries that you do. The majority of my videos have some amount of music in them. I really fear them being taken down because I really do enjoy them. And, hopefully I'm in the bag! If anything happens to your account, you can be sure I'll come and find you. Take care, man.

  • Love ya, Leila! I had something to say to you in part 2. Did you see it?

  • If you do get shut down let me know and I will resubscribe to your new channel :)

    Billy....

  • You rule! Thanks!

  • Take your time on Opus... we'll wait :)

  • Thanks, hon!

  • hope I'm in the bag! we'll keep watching. I wish they could clarify what constitutes as fair use. Apparently, if the copywrite holders don't request that stuff gets removed, they can lose their copywrite rights. If you don't actively enforce your copywrite, then you don't have a foothold in court, if someone REALLY violates it....

  • Oh you're in there, bro! Hmm. Interesting. I didn't know that.

  • Super great lighting!!! Good point on the copyright stuff. Live long and prosper Jeffro!!!

  • What up, Spock?! LOL!

  • If you've never had any trouble before then you're okay. Before my old account was suspended for copyrights this was included in the e-mail they sent to me: "Repeat incidents of copyright infringement will result in the deletion of your account and all videos uploaded to that account."

Malmsteen wasn't the first to complain, but he was the second and the last. I think your videos are safe!

  • That's encouraging. Anyway, that sucked about your account, bro! I remember it. I wish Malmsteen wasn't such a dick! Such a great artist! Why does he have to be an asshole?!

  • Private sharing is legal

  • Is this private sharing?

  • Dude - YouTube and the music labels fixed their dispute, and the companies won't come down on the Tube for featured music.

  • Dude! What?! When?! How?! Where can I find that info?!

  • Go to Misstruly's channel - she's done two videos about it.

  • *Goes to watch*

  • WOW! I guess that solves it?!

  • I just put a link to your channel, and a link to Misstruly's video in the description box

  • God love you, man. You're too kind!

  • Part 1: JeffsteR! LoL! I like being in the bag! It's all soft and comfy! Hey, we will all still be here when Opus 40 is done, I've noticed that it's so hard to take my time on a video that I'm so excited about! I'm ALWAYS in a rush to upload things!

  • Part 2: Personally, I'm GLAD you made the trailer! And I totally get your point and agree about the music issue. We're playing it for our friends and getting it out there! I've really enjoyed these videos! Thanks for the time you spent on them!

    ♫ ToM! ♪

  • I really wish that MORE musicians felt the same as you, Tom!

  • It's a great bag! LOL! Thanks for understanding, bro.

  • thanks again my friend. glad to be in your bag.

hope the incomprehensibullshit issues over using music like you said get worked out in a constructive way. happy dancing et al and peacEveryoneverywhereveryday!

  • but you'll never find me :)

  • Oh, and yes! I WILL find you! LOL!

  • We'll see what happens.

  • glad i found you my friend!

peacEveryday... from japan (planet earth). ~eG.

  • On copyright, doesn't matter that you aren't making money. YouTube is a commercial site and they don't have the right to use copyright material. I think YouTube does have a deal with EMI though which allows you to use EMI music in YT videos. Owning a CD doesn't give you any kind of rights to rebroadcast the music any more than buying a DVD would allow you to upload it to youtube.

  • I am a musician and I have released copywrited albums on indie labels and a couple major ones! I was under the impression that as long as you give the artist credit where credit was due then that is legal and if you make a profit a percentage has to go to the original artist. There are patentents and things that follow stricter guideling so I've been told-I could be wrong though please enlighten me!

  • Interesting. I try to do that.

  • Dude! Thanks for this! I need another point of view! I see. That makes sense. What about Sports bars, and wedding DJ's?

  • owning a cd gives you the right to play the cd for friends. isNt that the point Imtubester mentioned? what's the friggin difference playing a cd or dvd for your friends at home, and for your friends here on YT?

    everything should be copyLEFT!

  • Nicely put, bro!
