  • I love the PETA types pulling their hair out about why Temple clearly cares deeply about efficient, logical and suffering-free slaughter while steadfastly failing to take the gigantic personal leap into "no animal deserves to be slaughtered".

Duh, she's autistic. She's not capable of forming the bizarre, irrationally strong emotional bonds you have formed with animals. She's purely rational and doesn't care a whit for your silly feelings. In short, she's a better advocate for animals than you.

  • (GOD- THAT SOUNDS LIKE CONTAINING THE WOMEN/CHILD VICTIMS OF PATRIARCHY- KEEPING THEM CO-OPERATING TO THEIR DEATH- that the tortured child discharging on others-IF U WANT TO HELP CATTLE/OR WOMEN SET THEIR FREE & LET THEM LIVE-SAME RIGHTS AS YOU WANT FOR URSELF

  • TO Temple Grandin; PLEASE, Tell us, when you will be helping-out, on the terrible procedures in Canada, about HORSE-SLAUGHTER. EQUINES suffer, high levels of abuse, neglect and painful unnessary acts, due to unskilled industries, especially in Mexico, also. We need your Help in these situations, also. You must have seen Richilieu and Alberta plants, how our horses are multi-missed to the head, buy shooters, and how old and unsafe their equipment is. Please make a video, for EQUINES, also. TKS

  • @xx1527 I saw the bad horse videos. The one in eastern Canada had the most problems. Horse stun boxes MUST have non-slip flooring because animals panic when they slip. They should also have high solid sides so that the horse cannot see out into the plant. I have been working with people in Canada on horse slaughter auditing programs and guidelines. Humane slaughter of any animal requires plant management who is committed to good treatment. Sincerely, Temple Grandin

  • @TempleGrandin OH! Thank-you, for reply, Ms.Grandin.So happy to hear from you, finally, someone, besides all the sent e-mails to CFIA, MPs, Politiciens, ect. Never do we get answered back, so quickly. Its fustrating, for people who care for animals.I understand now, about the stun-boxes, you,ve repeated it so many times, poor you. Its not so hard to understand, i wouldn,t dare go in there, myself, knowing, you,d slip, especially on blood. OMG! If we happen to walk on ice, its the same, reaction!

  • @TempleGrandin Oh, and Please, may i repeat, they need Help, extra supervision, new educated, kind, skilled and compassionate Staff, in those plants, Richilieu+Alberta. This may sound weird, but, those people, who work there, don,t give a flying hoot, about Equines. They do not respect, horses, they think, they are stupid, no-goods, and its shocking to see and hear this. They are not sociable and are very mean.No cameras allowed! We wonder why.hummm. Bouvry has to ship up or ship out of there TKS

  • @xx1527 Often simple improvements in equipment can make a big difference. Animals calm down when they have a good non-slip floor that provides good footing Another simple improvement for slaughter plants is installing solid sides to prevent animals from seeing out into the plant. Temple Grandin

  • @TempleGrandin Thank-You, Temple..And oh, will you be there the 3rd-6th, in Los Vegas, also..Do you agree on killing, Equines for consumption? tks

  • @xx1527 I will be at the meeting in Las Vegas. I will be presenting all the material I have been sent on different options for solving the surplus horse problem. Most people I have heard from have lots of opinions and very few solutions. Horses that are being neglected or sent to Mexico have a worse fate than going to a plant in Canada.

  • @TempleGrandin OH, O.K, you will be there, well--Good-Luck. YES Mexico is worst then Canada, and that should not exist, in the first place, but saddly it does. :( I understand the over-population of these poor Horses but, this has been going on for years Now! WHY? One must admit, Overbreeding, unconsiderate issues, should be looked in. Why not monitor this a year instead of monitoring the horses, being killed a year No. Bouvry Alb, is closed for now, doesn,t sound good. Sanitary positive blood+

  • @TempleGrandin Although you did your very best in Vegas, for the Equines, and better practises, we see, it wasn,t as peachy, as could be, with that Sue Wallis, ect ect. and Simone. WTH? was that, Sue is a sick person, and furious about horse-lovers, thats all. I feel so sorry for you Tgrandin, you were there to HELP equines. You asked not to mention prepost or speak your name for designing, but, media, ect, got a hold of that. :( I,m with you and yes, this vegas thing was a flop! Tks xx

  • When people learn how to handle cattle quietly with behavioral principles, the animals remain calm. I have observed that the people have greater satisfaction with their jobs when they learn how to move cattle calmly and quietly.

    Temple Grandin

  • Absolutely brilliant! And it makes such complete sense. Your videos should be mandatory in every slaughterhouse as required training and education. A picture is wirth a thousand words. These videos say it all.

  • I love to see someone who eats meat and still cares about animal welfare at the same time

  • my old boss was a big fan of bud williams!!!

  • very interesting, so much of cattle handling is common sense, and you do a nice job of making sense of common sense. hope you know what i mean, Thanks. B
