I have to admit, at first, I had low expectations for this soundtrack when I first recieved it for some reason. But after listening to the whole thing last week, I've came to the realization that this is one of the best albums I've ever listened to and owned(it's up there with some of my favorite jazz and bossanova CDs in my opinion). its really a great series. all u have to do is: on the youtube search bar, type in: wolfs rain episode 1 part 1 and it will give u the results. 99 per-cent, it will pop up. click the first one probobly, and then watch it. when ur done, it will usually show the next one which is: wolfs rain episode 1 part 2! then it keeps going on until all of the parts are done (3 in each episode). the highest episode and part i have gone up to is... episode 15 part 3

In Norway, sheep farmers act as if [tame] herds are supposed to survive on their own with any means of supervision. When they lose their sheep, severeal at they time, they put the blame on the wolves themselves. For each sheep lose, they receive a approximately 300-400 dollars from the goverment in. If not given permission to terminate wolfs, they take the law into their own hands and tend to illegal poaching. As of this day, the wolf is considered to be critically endangered in this country.

sounds similar to situation to Finnish Lapland, except we have reindeer owners instead of sheep farmers. And because reindeer owners in Lapland kill illegally every wolf that steps on their way, wolves in Sweden and Norway are genetically isolated from the Russian populations and that's why they have lots of genetical diseases... The wolves who see easy prey,9/10 times they'll only kill's what necessary to survive, but if they keep coming back to the same place... then it's tragedy for man, sheep, and wolf.

The farmers who merely defends their sheep from wolves to survive, and shoot in what you could call self-defence, and the defene of their animals.

And the farmer who's had enough, and wants to end it once and for all... Yaiden Quent, anybody?

A single farmer once used goverment funds to put up fencing. He got frozen out of the local community.

What usually happens, in both Norway and Sweden, is sheepfarmers gather in huntingparties and systematically track them down. In one case even using a helicopter and silenced sniper rifles.

They've got about 10 or 12 wolves there, but I heard something about puppies :D so it's likely more now

@antt45 Well actually, the books *do* follow the same plot line at the anime, but the finer, more specific details were cut in the show, yet shown in the manga. I recently found this out and it suprised me a little bit tbh. Though in reality, the show only cut out like a total of around 9-10 pages of detail from the manga. Saying this really means they had enough of a budget to work well from the manga...And...wtf they made a cowboy bebop manga??!?!!!? Where was I ?!
