What prison sentence should Baby Grace's parents receive?

I doubt something this heinous would be an out-of-character bad moment in an otherwise normal life; they are probably depraved all the time. Might as well execute them. Humanely. I was emotionally reactive to this story - much like the other commenters below. But when I went to the website and took the survey, I was able to relate the crime to the justice system and to 'evil' differently. Not that my emotional reactions were dismissed, but I was able to objectively view the crime through the lens of classification. I urge everyone to take this survey.

When a parent harms a child because she couldn't say please and yes sir/no sir and then beats the child and kills the child I think the parents should be punished in the same way they killed that child. Forgive me for being so heartless but the parents showed no mercy to that innocent child. I watched the coverage from the start and each time I read or herd on the news I cried for this child and I still do.

I think the death penalty is too light for them. It's quick and painless. That's not punishment. They should be in strict solitary for at least five years. After that, the guards should smear peanut butter all over that devil couple, shove a bloody steak in their mouths, and turn them loose in the prison yard with nowhere to run, and 10 hungry rottweilers downwind. Lethal injection is way too sissy. Then again, both are extreme cowards, they've proved.

i would hope these people are sent to jail for a long time - killing them seems too quick - if you could make it slow and painfull then yes execute them but a quick death is not acceptible they need to suffer for what they did.

I agree. Most of today's prisoners have been abused and molested, themselves, and hold a very big grudge. Their justice is just right.
