Also, I don't feel like sitting in silence does anything for anyone. I like to think that if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. The 7-year old is a trans-GIRL, similar to a similar adult being a trans-woman, so get the terms correct if you want to make sense. Besides boy-girl and man-woman are gender terms, and male-female are sex-body terms.

There are plenty of scientific studies showing how a woman's brain is different from a man's, and there are even studies on transgender individuals whose brains are wired as the opposite sex of what they were born. I happen to think so but you would get a lot of feminist theorists who disagree...when I was growing up in 70s the traditional idea that men and women just thought differently was denounced constantly be feminists as sexist nonsense designed to keep woman in the kitchen baking-what else? cookies.

@SpidersOnDrugz So if that is the case then we need only do brain scans of so called transgenders to determine if they fall on male or female lines an thus eligible for GS or BS. Is there plenty of scientific evidence about the brains of transgender folks? So for you it all comes down to how the brain is wired--so then their is objective evidence about who is and is not a female or male----yeah reminds one of the "one drop of blood" to determine racial i.d.

@SpidersOnDrugz you have always know you are girl---em so no other factors entered into your i.d. as a girl? you bought your won clothes and made your own choices about what kind of clothes to wear when you are 3 y.o eh? Hey great..most people rely on adults to do that and thus have some external force helping to shape their i.d. but OK you are different. So what other people said about your gender? We in fact rely heavily on what others say/do about us in forming our i.d.

@SpidersOnDrugz Even granted what you are saying is true---and it totally disregards environment as a huge factor in shaping i.d. which is absurd---but even so that doesn't in and of itself justify a person with male body parts being in the GS or vice a versa a person w/o them being in BS.

You get a band to all drop acid on the same night and go around to every dance party they can find and ask everyone they think will give the right answer the question. What question was that? Oh yeah. People think differently. But some people's brains are "wired" (I'll bet you're one - meth will do that) wrong. Are you wired wrong? Right! That's it. I don't get why people are saying "transgender boy". Mtf(male to female) is what we are talking about here, They/we are called transwomen, transgender female, but basically female/women/woman. A "transgender boy" is a FTM(Female To Male). So they(ftm) are not the ones in question.

Totally agree. I think they can't stand to use the term "girl" with regards to the transgender child. But even that they use the word "transgender" gives it more legitimacy.
They don't realize how ignorant that makes the speaker Taylor appear. I'm sure her parents put her up to this, and quote:
"the readers at the website Dangerous Minds have figured out that Taylor is probably the daughter of Susan and William Riedley, who apparently started Honest Girl Scouts."

The 7-year old is a trans-GIRL, similar to a similar adult being a trans-woman, so get the terms correct if you want to make sense. Besides boy-girl and man-woman are gender terms, and male-female are sex-body terms.
Society is getting more in touch with the conditions and needs of transgender persons in general, so more inclusion and acceptance is what's happening and will continue to grow.
Besides this hate boycott has backfired and more GS cookies will be sold!

Just wanting to be a girl doesnt make one a girl. Period (yeah they dont get them). Why not just create a new chapter called the gay scouts or something else? Should all bathrooms and dressing room codes be ignored because someone wants to act like the opposite gender? Humans and animals are born into genders for a reason, its ok to be feminine and male, but its not ok to force others to accept you as whatever your demands be. One's lifestyle shouldnt not come at the sake of another.

Can you take a boy into a girls bathroom (check local laws) Go to college Gender/sex are directly linked in studies and legally. Using a 7 yo to push a gay issue is shameful. The rights of an individual does not out weigh society. If your a parent of a girl scout it is dishonest to admit/charge/pretend your organization is any better than hanging around the neighborhood if anyone can pretend/manipulate membership

I find it ironic that is causing so much controversy is now a private video with both comments and ratings blocked....lol. If you're going to make a video, at least back it up even when people who don't have the same opinion start to comment and speak their mind. People that do this and then hide when people chime in with their opinion get to me. :/ Why even speak your mind if you're not going to stand your ground and face opposing views?

They tell me that the best way to support the organization is to buy more Girl Scout cookies. Good for you! And I'm impressed you could express this cogent and on-target opinion at what's clearly the end of a long day -- you were obviously strongly moved. Your presentation comes from the heart, and strikes me as a lot more realistic than the rehearsed reading from the original video. (The messy bed doesn't bother me one bit.)
