  • @myopium You're right "THINKING" wont do a damn thing! DOING something WILL! And the "background" I come from summarized is... grew up with no vehicle in the family, my dad struggling to RENT a trailer in a trailer park..Dollar stores and kmart for clothes..WHEN we could afford it. My brother and sister high school dropouts and my parents also dropped out. No college education. My mom didnt work. But I STILL achieved what I set out to do and more still to come..BECAUSE I took ACTION repeatedly

  • this is all bullshit. it's not emotion. emotion is only IF and WHEN things are happening ALREADY. BEFORE emotion is chosen destiny. if you're not choosen, then you can have all the emotion you want and not get nothing and nowhere. destiny. chosen. and this is not up to you but to higher power.

  • @drivingbible Your religion contradicts your statement and you are so small minded that you don't even realize it. If I were try to explain this to you, you would not listen to a word; rather, you would simply debate it, as you will with this reply. One day, you will understand. Lucky for you, it's not a race.

  • I'm kind of glad Tony did a Ted talk simply for the negative comments he receives. I think people like him (who make reportedly $50 million per year off people's vulnerabilities) need to be critiqued and examined. I mean some of what he says is ok, but a lot of it is just fluff, it's not science or anything that really helps people longterm. What's more, this motivational speaking stuff has been around for centuries, it's getting old now. Time for the TED revolution I say.

  • You can be HAPPY and RICH its your birth right !!!!!

  • Please try to translate these very valuable videos. cause I really hope to spreed them in my beloved country (EGYPT)

  • You're kidding me? TED invited this scam artist to give a talk?

  • the fact ADULTS need a 'Tony Robbins' to help lift them out of their slumber tells me we are failing our kids!

ADULTS are a waste of time (they need to be deprogrammed first) the effort should go into educating the KIDs properly from the word go.

What we know about how the brain operates suggests ADVERTISING and MEDIA are a big part of the problem.

The facts we know about how the right and left brain respond to stimuli suggests a complete OVERHAUL of the BS western public school system.

  • I clicked on the top ten TED talks and got Tony Robbins?

    oy vey

  • I bet women is chasing this guy like crazy. His passion is so attractive! :)

  • Tony Robbins is a BEAST! Powerful Stuff!

  • cant stand for the speed of his talking. feels to me that he wants to persuade, not to make you think for yourself. "just listen to me, and keep nodding with your head".

    sorry folks.

  • Tony takes he gives nothing

  • "Have you've ever been to a video or film that you've already seen? Get a fucking life"

Guilty of watching this video for the second time!

  • Also, isn't it stunning how quickly many humans will cede spiritual authority to others, especially anyone who's wealthy and/or acts confident? "Please tell me what to do and how to live. Here's a thousand dollars."

  • @mookooable Not trying to be a dick, but Tony has a compelling story. His father left the family when he was 11, he's lived in a 400 square foot apartment, was 38 pounds overweight, and was literally on the brink, before he decided to change his life for the better, and has done nothing short of devoting it to helping others do the same thing. You'll hear Steve Jobs echo his sentiments, and everyone from Hugh Jackman to Bill Clinton say they have benefitted from interacting with him.

  • This kind of stuff is truly a fucking tragedy. NO ONE has the "truth" or the "path". The evil genius of this guru shit is that if you do become "successful" (the meaning of that is debatable), this fraud can take credit for it, but if nothing happens, he can simply say you didn't try hard enough.

  • @mookooable I'm guessing your'e the kind of person who thinks they know everything, and carries around some cold resentment about why they never accomplished something big. Don't give up! I, too, would've once scoffed at someone telling me how to live, but I haven't sent a dime to Tony, and can see, very clearly, that he helps people better know themselves, so that they can better fulfill their life's purpose.

  • @spauzauskie There is no "teacher" for life. Be your own light. Even if someone did have the "answers", what kind of fuckface would they have to be to charge absurd sums of money to access it? False hopes-that's what he's peddling. Once again, there is no "path". Every human is 100% unique, yet society tries to bury this through socialization. Steve Jobs was a jerk, by the way. I don't give two shits about his opinions.

  • @mookooable And My Wild Guess is that you have NOT experienced success because if you had, you wouldn't disagree with anything said by Tony.

If you expect nothing good to happen for all of your efforts - you're not going to try.

If you expect to be rewarded you will do a hell of a lot more than try because you will know!

  • No disrespect intended to TR fans but IMO this is a bunch of hooey. It sounds good on the surface but if you actually analyse what he's saying (which is difficult because he never pauses and talks at a million miles an hour) he's not saying anything!

  • @tvsinesperanto Amen!

  • This is all drivel and no substance. It has no application in the real world whatsoever. This guy neglects the environmental circumstances that restrict peoples choices and actions. A willingness to change can only take you so far.

  • @myopium "A willingness to change can only take you so far" You just expressed that you expect it to "only take you so far" - Expect more than that and you will achieve more.

Everyone gave me crap when I was in school because I wanted to be a pro-wrestler - Achieved. Then gave me crap at the gym bc I weighed 150lbs and told me I'd never hit $185 in my lifetime. Current weight a healthy 242lbs. Then people gave me crap bc of online business - now earning near 5 figures per month.

  • @myopium No disrespect, Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But all of the things I listed above, I got them because I EXPECTED to.

There is PLENTY of substance in what Tony has to say but it seems like the only people that have negative comments for him all have the exact same trait in common...

They do not EXPECT successful weight loss/muscle gain, financial freedom, lasting relationship or really anything truly exceptional. Change That!

  • @pyeager1980 I respect your opinion, but I completely disagree that what you achieve in life can be reduced to the levels of expectation that you have for yourself. What anyone accomplishes in this world in contingent upon a long list of non-linear events that ultimately shape who you are. In other words, no amount of positive thinking, or exepectation, will NECESSARILY extricate you from a socially and finacially deprived background - things outside our control matter a great deal.

  • @pyeager1980 I expect it to take me so far because to expect otherwise is to be unrealistic. To expect everything to turn out just as you wish is almost always going to lead to dissapointment. Of course one can strive to do the best one can. But failing to give due consideration to tthe circumstances in life that limit us, is just as detrimental as not wanting anything better at all.

  • 11:52 GET A FUCKING LIFE!!

  • 11:43 bullshit

    get a fucking life!!!

  • This guy is awsome!

  • TONY ROBBINS HUNGERY

  • He looks like a body builder :O

  • basically what he is saying is YOU CAN DO WHAT EVER YOU WANT! BECOME ANYTHING YOU WANT IF YOU JUST PUT YOUR MIND IN TOOO IIITTT! I figured this out a LONG time ago ;) experians is power

  • @Gabrielsound1 i figured out that it takes a lot to fight against people who are in powerful positions next or slightly above you. they will try to sabotage your ideas because they fear you take away their power.

that makes some people have a burn-out.

  • Homosexual activists understand the power of words.

Please visit my channel to watch a one-minute video clip in which popular atheist author Richard Dawkins admits that homosexual activists "hijacked the word 'gay'".

The word "homosexual" is more appropriate and accurate because it, unlike the word "gay", actually describes the behavior/attraction/relationship being discussed.

The word "gay" helps homosexual activists push their agenda.

  • That voice scares me o0

  • I happened to speed this video to look at the facial expressions before listening to it - The look in 19:43 made me need to look at the comments - i'm off to watch some science instead...

  • I was trying to be funny. I guess it didn't work but thanks for the suggestion my brother.

  • Toney changed my life , check out my song "jenny" by putting Brad Lenart "Jenny Song" in a search, please listen to me sing!! : 0)

  • They should show this video to kids in high schools. I felt like i learned more in this 22:31 min video then i do in 8 hours of school in one day

  • What a great lesson our REAL FATHER is teaching us! The tree of knowledge is absolutely FUTILE! I'm off to grow some apples.

  • @TorontoLibertarian - don't worry, you're not alone.

  • Move over Anthony Robbins! The son of Boris Badenov is taking over, thanks to Fred Frees, whose father Paul was the voice of the villain in “Rocky and Bullwinkle.” The younger Frees has a new 30-minute comedy motivational audio available for download called “Building Success Thru Living: Exploring the Inner You Thru Shouting” through iTunes, Amazon.com and CDBaby.com, at just 0.99¢ per cut. Funny stuff! Check it out. It's about time someone put this motivational stuff in perspective!

  • he is hot!:)))

  • Mr. Robbins is a self promoter. He is akin any salesman on late night tv. I know personally people who paid 1000's for his so called advance course and could not afford it. They should have him debate Deepak Chopra and other charlatans. That would be a laugh riot.

  • K I can't believe this a TED Talk.

    HE'S NOT SAYING ANYTHING!

    It's all fluff.

I can't be the only one noticing.

  • @TorontoLibertarian It's good fluff! :D

  • @Skoshtwo he is rather fat. looks like robocop...a human head on top of a massive robotic frame.

  • He's from 1960?

  • "If one is not giving it, love, one is not getting it"

    ~~cc

  • the people that left a negative are probably stupid, ignorant and arrogant

probably the same ones out on the roads driving with their head up their ass and thinking they own the roads and nobody else matters or is there.

turn off the bs on tv put down the bud light piss and get life

  • run for pres tony

  • This man should be the president of the USofA. Then we would have a bedere world.

  • Tony Robbins, delivering the Cliffnotes of life...for those who don't like books.

  • @lightandbeautiful to question the homos will get you hailed down by people brainwashed by "equality" propoganda.

i cant believe how effective their agenda push has been.

  • I'd like to see him Take over from Steve Wilko's Show :)

  • I think we can all agree when I say tony robbins is the f**kin man

  • 11:52 "Get a f*cking life!"

Again, they censored that bit in his website!~ That was my favorite advice!~

  • 7:43 "He's broken my pattern that son of a bitch!"

They censored that bit in his website!~ Regardless, he's the man.....

  • good~

  • Love this guy, he gave me the juice to make a feature film....

  • it really nice >> we have to know & know any thing about ur self

  • "Bullshit"

  • maybe I need to listen again to catch it clearly, it's just so fast

  • I'd rather listen to Ayn Rand. She'd tell that collectivist huckster Al Gore to go to Hell and Tony to go with him!

  • man...this dude is deep.

  • @mcbridegm Excellent Point! RESPECT! Thats where many folks have sooo many issues dealing with others. They cant figure out how the other person cant see what they see. I dont imagine Tony Robbins wastes his time with Negative/Critical thoughts of others. Even if theyre right how does it promote their cause?

  • @FoxifiedNutjob Is that the same as any excuse will do...the results are the same?

  • Hey all I can say here is, "I want this Maaan to Become Our Next President" ... That is after Pres. Obama:-)

  • I'm not a great fan of Mr Robbins. On the other hand I listened to his content and there were a number things in it which I found useful. I like the fact that the idea of giving comes up. Why do so many people feel they can be reactive and think others want to hear speakers or artists referred to as a " piece of shit?" Separate the man from the ideas, look for the good which may be there. And when you've done that look at yourself, because YOU deserve better too. Respect yourself & others.

  • Another great video by Tony Robbins. For other great business video's go to Steve Mills Marketing TV

  • TED - "Manure Is Worth Spreading, This Shit Is Not"

  • He's helping people and making money at the same time. Ohhh the horror of it all. If you want to be happy in life? Find what you like to do and make a living from it. What you think the hotel just gives him the time for free? Sound techs and etc? You negative people have dead end jobs and are unhappy. Buy his course and he tells you exactly what to do. I'm reminded of a book, and the big bussiness called catholic church. They pray on little boys and make billions each year.

  • Deny it all you want but, Tony Robbins promises how-to information, but then delivers a bunch of “You-can-do-it” platitudes instead.

He trots out one obscure babble point after another in an effort to impress the masses with all the success they can "easily" obtain. But rarely is a word spoken about when the technique is appropriate or whether it is truly successful. The reader or listener is left with the impression that the technique is appropriate for any and all acquisitions or conflicts.

  • I stopped watching TED when they let this shyster speak... TED lost all credibility.

  • America's favorite charlatan. I'm guessing that his favorite movie is The Music Man. For someone who talks a lot he says almost nothing, except in the area of self promotion.

preying on people's lack of confidence, pretending that they really care about you when it is all a hoax.

  • This is my favorite TedTalk I have had the privilege of travelling the world attending the Anthony Robbins Mastery University & Leadership training I would recommend his training to anyone this mans work rocks x Tony is a giving machine x Love & Smiles Rose x ♫♥♪¨¯`♥ ¸.♫♥♪¨¯`♥ ¸.♫♥♪¨¯`♥

  • @rosessmiles

"A giving machine"?! Your joking right? Do you know how much his programs and seminars costs? Hardly "giving"...

  • love watching this video

  • i love al gore.

  • Decision - yes, but for me it didn't work until I understood intention. What is one's intent?

Do you intent to do what you're doing? Or you just do it half-hearted?

  • Tony Robbins is amazing. I wish I could afford one of his seminars. Damn!

  • Badly dressed, talks like a jerk. He's amazing!!

  • Are these his real denims?

  • And again I say to you it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the reign of Elohim.

    -Mathew 19:24

  • It's funny how the naysayers weigh in over and over and over again....

  • Love this guy, thanks for sharing this one.

  • Hate him now, so many fails at TED.

  • Failed for me at 1:50, we always do things for ourselves. When we do it for someone else, we get emotions like gratitude, it's satisfactory to help others we wouldn't do it otherwise.

  • First the Sarah Silverman debacle where they showed not only do they not have a sense of humor but they also are too stupid to get satire. Now they have one of the worlds leading snake oil salesmen on stage to spew his nonsense.

Next they'll have anti-vaccers up followed by homeopathy practitioners ending in flat-Earthers.

TED has lost it's once honest claim to rational scientific credibility. If you want real science watch some TAM meetings (minus Rebecca Watson and her hate mongering).

  • Why is this the top-rated talk? He's basically just babbling and not saying anything nearly as important or interesting as those with an actual scientific background.

  • Great talk.

  • You change my life forever tony, thanks to your knowledge I have a better life. thank you very much to you and god bless you.

  • This video just lowered my opinion fo tedtalk.

  • .... emotions is really a big driver. 'Un ballo in mascera' at @SemperoperDD - only driven by emotions reading a bad sounding review after the premiere. It drove me to learn more what it really was about. cc @angieincampo

  • How many people here love this video and choose to ignore the negative comments, say "Aye!"

  • @sheldondunnjr AAAAAAAYE

  • @sheldondunnjr it's sooooo easy to say something negative rather than positive. AYE!

  • @sheldondunnjr

"negative comments". They're not "negative", they are critical. There is a difference.

  • That was a very intense beginning. . .

  • i don't get it Hans Rosling is not in top 10 but this guy is number one? he is nice but there is just no caparison

  • Great stuff!!! Love the play on words ".. the defining factor is never [or rarely] resources, but resourcefulness"....

  • this is so outrageous. this dude has lists that bleed into lists that bleed into other lists, and he never once gets all the way through any of them. I was waiting for him to say at the end "see, i just said absolutely nothing in the last 25 minutes, but because of my EMOTION, you think that you actually learned something". At least then this reckless rambling would have had a point. If you think tony robbins is a hack let me here you say aye...

  • Tony Robbins really know how to motivate and inspire people. Really love his speech here!

  • Tony Robbins hungry!

  • Love your energy!

  • Gostei,no entanto ainda não aprendi o inglês.

Se pudessem pelo menos colocar legendas nos videos, todos tirariamos mais proveito desses videos fantasticos, obrigado !

  • Tony Robbins has made a real difference in my life. I wish he'd stop saying that he's not a motivator. I don't know why he dislikes it.

Motivational ability is a highly valued skill in business, and motivating people to reach their potential is perhaps the noblest calling. Many people look to Tony for motivation- especially those of us who are already successful. His programs have helped millions, and will continue to do so. You've created an incredible legacy, Tony- own it!

  • Great video! Tony is a great resource for small and large business alike. Keep it up!

  • Why is loser Al Gore in this video?

  • TONY ROBINS HUNGRY!

  • Lance did have a figer in on STEROIDS witch was in the back of mind all the time. And this guy is talking about the emotions and wil power. Steroids boost ur preformance. Not ur wil power and internal drive.

  • anything you can do i can do better :p

  • I need to watch this twice, cos Tony talks so fast

  • Tony Robbins is awesome!!!

  • W can all use motivation to help us succeed.

  • How cult leader AR creates loyal followers 1..."Milieu" is a French word meaning "surroundings; environment." Cults are able to control the environment around their recruits in a number of ways, but almost always using a form of isolation. Recruits can be physically separated from society, or they can be warned under threat of punishment to stay away from the world's educational media, especially when it might provoke critical thinking.

  • @superlativewoman I dont get it? Whats a recruit? And why do they try to seperate them from the world's educational media?

  • Ohhh Pullleeeeeeze ..... you notice these enlightenment hustlers NEVER say what it is they actually do, or know, or purport to "install" ? I really think this burgeoning belching behemoth of arglebarle, doubletalk, woojie voodoo, hogwash, and mental assgass is the sign of collective desperation

  • @superlativewoman I think you're missing the point here.

  • @superlativewoman Angry in your life a little? Before piling on the pre-judgement, skim through his BOOK (not this lame video) for 10 minutes and you will see descriptions, DIAGRAMS, scientific explanations, and everything else used to support his methods. I'm not even necessarily defending Robbins here, I'm calling you out for clearly taking your anger out on something you don't even understand.
