I think Ariza is just as good, with maybe even more consistency than Artest, sure artest maybe bring a bit more star power, but he is , at this stage, no where near consistent enough, and although they won the championship, they did so with Ariza too. and i think artest sometimes can be annoying or pose some doubt becuz of his past behaviours.
