A stimulator is an "attractor" fly that can mimic anything to include grasshoppers, crickets, stoneflies and large mayflies. Hence the name "stimulator".

@threehats1 thanks i ordered t hopefully i can catch some nice ones but which would work best from them?
A nice list of useful flies. I love having confidence flies when I am fly fishing and these flies are right on.
I also like to tie up mosquitoes and black and brown leech patterns.

sub-surface flies??? the rest of us call them 'wet' flies.

i would say to add some klinkhammer and cranefly patterns to that they never fail here
