i think what happens is selfish people want more and more money and "stuff" and power. Then everything changes to serve that status lust. Most people seem to equate money and power with "smart" which allows them to get away with the supidest possible kinds of things. Apparently what happens is leadership will quash or squash any kind of a grass roots truth movement.. It like a war where the top's survival depends on enforced lies and stupidity. Power seems to euthanize brightness.

In the really old days, they called "really stupid" the "knowledge of good and evil". It's the opposite of smart, or saying something must be bad because some hierarchal type said it's so. As we know hierarchals are in it to win it and are totally screwing everybody for their own sense of power to self reward. There is something quite similar going on with energy use. The world could be a better place, but "the greedy" won't let it be.
