  • should we put green tea in ? 0.o

    does it taste good ?

  • @crunchyman301 A lot of versions of ochazuke use green tea.

  • I have one very good one too, Caned Tuna Ochazuke.

All you need is rice, caned tune, shredded nori and salted sesame and of course some Houji-cha or green tea :-)

Right, I usually use left over rice coz they are more chewy and would not stuff up inside your tea, sprinkle the rice with some shredded nori and salted sesame, add some tuna. Lastly, add some green tea or houji-cha. mm.. I'm hungry now..

  • That was awesome. Thanks for sharing!

  • This look soooooooooooooo good!!! NEver thought of onigiri with green tea..oh and the salmon...This is like little gourmet snack

  • I'm gonna make this tomorrow, cause I got a left over salmon too. I really like Ochazuke, it's yummy~ ^^

  • I love Tarooooooooooooooooooo!!! :D

  • Runny orders and he gets to eat too....thats a switch ...lol....nice dish Jay.....!!!

  • Awesome! I love your channel. YEAH Canada!

  • I love it

  • healthy food Mr J :)

    nice one.

  • Since its after Thanksgiving, I wonder how this would taste with some nice roasted turkey...Sometimes I like to fry turkey slices with panko so i'll give it a shot~

  • WOW! That's exactly something I need... A meal that can be prepared really fast due to my hectic life in the TV Station. And that Onigiri Ochazuke is also delectable for me because I loooooooove salmon. That snack is easy enough to make. Great recipe, Jay. I like the start of the video too with your collaboration with the Runnyrunny999! Your video recipes are entertaining as always. :-)

  • Beautiful!!!!!!!!!

  • When Taro makes food, you cant eat it. Now you made HIM food and he gets to eat it? NOT FAIR ;)

  • @PlatypusGuitar Yeah, Taro! What's the deal? lol.

  • can you eat it without the green tea?

  • @henryz0r sure, then you have yourself an onigiri. You can eat them anywhere. The perfect handheld food.

  • great recipe and video!

  • what rice did you use it looks really translucent

  • @PlayingPanda The rice is just Japanese short grain. The same stuff I use for sushi.

  • Nice Dish Jay & also a kool video.

  • don't it take time to cook the rice and salmon? :) But if you have some leftovers then it's all great!

  • Hmm does this have to be served right away? Won't the rice get all soagy?

  • @yoh7351 そうだね the rice holds up well in the tea.

  • Cool video and the recipe looks delicious...I am going to have to try it soon :)

  • not a true Ochazuke but one I really like :)

Take a piece of salmon salt and pepper it then on one side spread a good amount of Dijon mustard, then you put the salmon sauce down on some kasha (roasted buckweat) and press to make it adhere. Put the salmon on a sheet of parchemin paper sauce and kashi facing up. Broil close to the heat source for about 4 to 5 minutes (don;t make it burn) Prepare a bowl with hot rice put the salmon on top and pour your green tea on top. NUMMY!

  • @acexkeikai That sounds good! Nice one!

  • SUBSCRIBED! ! ! I want to be Japanese :3

  • idk if i'm just imagining things or not, but that salmon is also seasoned with pepper

  • @nelsonjr16 Maybe you saw black sesame seed.

  • i thought he said: hentai.... x'D

  • I saw runny in this video! I love him! lol

Hey Jay, sorry for the quality...I couldn't figure out how to fix the blurry... It was too big to attach the whole video file... :(

  • @runnyrunny999 hey runny, you could... use drop box for this kinda stuff :D you upload the video and send jay a link for him to download it, you can store up to 2GB or more

or... sugarsync or... skydrive from Mr. Microsoft, they offer up to 5GB of storage for free too...

take care man, love your videos

  • @runnyrunny999 dont worry you look handsome even when youre all blurry!

  • @PlatypusGuitar Hey!

  • @runnyrunny999 Yeah, what saberj2x said...

  • If you buy onigiri and hot tea directly from the conbini and just mix it, i wonder if it'd be good or just plain nasty.. haha.

what about the already fried onigiri and then just add tea? lol.

  • @5661Cho only one way to find out. :)

  • THIS IS SO COOL!!! taro-san is funny as usual. haha i love the way you put the salmon inside the onigiri, too ;D and i love 玄米茶!

  • @ochikeron ありがとう!

  • Eee~ Special guest Runny! :D Great work once again, MrJingjong :3
