@avkopplingen haha yes^^ , i also thought about that. i'm living in France and it's very cold too down there during the winter. I think that, as a bike messenger, you've got to wear a very warm but expensive outfit which would be compatible with bycicling, in order to avoid getting frozen by cold winds when you're moving at 40kps.

This was shot in the evening, after working hours. I was not there, but you can see the long shadows. And it's during the summer holiday, no one is working in the city. Probably spare equipment (tools, patch kits, etc.), "package(s)" for the race and maybe a change of clothes or two....who knows really especially for the carrying capacity of those bags.

From the looks of the video, the curbs are set closer to street level than in other places (many parts of US).
