its a good camera. It has a lot of nice features and makes some pretty good video. It has a thread on the front to mount extra lenses. Two things i dont like are that it doesnt film that great at night. Also when you zoom in it tends to blur a bit. I think there are nicer cameras out there for the money

@LESSthanDaniel The blurring when you zoom in is called "Digital Zoom" where it isn't actually zooming in any longer, but cropping the shot inside the camera and causes it to lose mega pixels which creates a blurry shot.

i got it so far i like it... the only thing i rly dont like about it is that theres no ports for an external mic...but overall its a great camera

no i am not, I use windows. This was done in corel video studio 12. I rendered it wrong so it looks a little weird. Look at my recent videos to see how it should look

So is it hard to transfer videos from the camera to your pc or dvd recorder? I want to get one of these and am checking all the videos out about them. I'm assuming you can record straight to a memory stick with this camera also. I can't find any information about what the largest gb it will take, 4, 8, 16? Do you know? Thanks....great shooting!

its actually very simple, just a usb chord and drag it off the camera. I didnt use the software so im not sure but its really simple just opening up the hard drive. As far as the memory sticks im not sure, i just use the 60 gb hard drive. at high quality it films over 900 mins

Thanks, last camcorder I had was a 8 mm tape and that was a pain too. Hard drive sounds good to me. I've got about a thousand little tapes to turn into dvd's and now my sony camcorder is dead. I'm wondering how I'm going to do the transfers now since it looks like I need the recorder to hook up to a burner to do the transfer.

In various parts in the clip, especially at 1:53 the video stutters quite horribly. Is it common for yr cam (SR47) to drop frame rates, or is this something that happened when u exported the video?

Not the camera at all, its the video editing software/computer i used not being powerful enough to publish it correctly. Partially cuz i was using other programs on the computer at the same time. but its not the camera, i just got a new fish eye lens and im making another skate edit that should be up in the next week. That way you can see how well it really works.
