Oh for pete's sake. Go to an Italian store and get one of those octagonal stovetop coffee makers. It's strong, manly, and difficult to break. You put water in the bottom, and the little coffee section only allows you to put in so much coffee. Screw up tight in a strong manly fashion. You put it on a heated stove element, and allow the house to be filled with gourmet coffee aroma. Drink the brown liquid that comes into the main chamber. Turn element off - only thing to break is the gasket.
