I have cut my own hair for years. Everyone thinks I am crazy too...lol It looks good Nancy. I wish I had hair as thick as yours. I did when I was young. Now it is thinning on top and is a pain if I accidentally cut it too short. I have a colic that will stick straight up if it's too short. the grandkids tell me I am going for a mohawk.
I could never try cutting my own hair! I cant c well enuf 2 try lol Mine is just now growing back out after I had 2 cut it all off. It has finally gotten 2 shoulder length again. I do need 2 go have it triimmed so it would b a bit healthier & prolly grow a bit faster. Maybe sumtime soon. I do color it myself from time 2 time cuz it gets so gray that I cant stand it & dont feel well enuf r have time r $ 2 get n2 the beauty salon 2 have it done. U r much braver than I am! :)
Let a professional do it, girl..just tell them that you are wanting a sexy little bob with bangs, LOL...gosh you have alot of hair! I'm jealous..my mom had thick white hair like that..mine has gotten soo thin I can't do anything w/it at all but just keep it pulled back in a bun or a ponytail. This pic I have up is from a few years ago before my diabetes got so bad..=( losing my pretty auburn hair really sux!
I think it looks fabulous! I cut my own hair too. All five of my kiddo's gasp when I pick up the scissors and whack a good three or four inches off the back of my hair every few months. It's just hair!!! :-P
I gather up a small portion of my bangs and twist it then cut it at an angle with scissors. Don't remember who started me on that and why. But your way works too! Happy cutting!

Personally, can't stand to fuss with short hair's constant clamor for attention, so have let it grow the longest it's ever been--and wrap it up in a no-fuss bun 90 percent of the time! REALLY "wash and go" LOL!
Great hair cutting job! I also cut my own... I really don't know how to cut hair but I prefer Not to go to the Salon because the (about) 5 times that I'v gone they cut my hair to short! I'd ask for a simple trim of no more than an inch or so and I'd go home with a whole new hair cut!!! lol so now I flip my head over and cut straight across... then when I flip back up I have layers!!! and its real simple with long hair! ... I like bangs on you..very pretty!

You have NOT wrecked it!!! I LOVE it!!! You DO look better with bangs and as for the sides....YOU did a much better job than whoever cut it down in Georgia!
Looks great! Frames your face nicely. I cut my own hair too.... don't like the way anyone else does it. :) Mine is pretty much the same style but about down to the middle of my back and not as thick as your hair. Wish I had thicker hair tho.
