  • Can anyone check out my photography and tell me how I did. Any comments are greatly appreciated! thanks photographers (: !!!

  • Thank you for explaining this with great examples.

  • you dont need a great camera to shot a great pictures! sheezeee!

  • The better camera, the better photos in most cases. But you wouldn't know that since you never tried a DSLR.

  • ....Fuck year??????

  • Learning by watching is so infinitely much better for us creative types. Whoever thinks we all just sit around reading manuals all night (I have enough to make fires all winter).....is really a Nerd !! They should just make learning DVD's with everything for us non-nerdnicks

  • Manuals are for Nerds. Learning by Manual is like Learning to Swim on a Couch.

  • Thank you so much. :-)

  • wow.... great info... thanks man!!! :o)

  • greta great video!!really helpful,good work man :)

  • sucks. You can and should read all these things in camera manual

  • hes not even fuckin looking :O how the hell

  • The man's name is Logan - does he even need to look? ;P

  • Want a little useless trivia?

Logan is just a character. His real name is Ward Hale.

  • Is that true? Is there any reason behind this?

  • can anyone tell me the name and version of some high quality camera that does both still photos and videos! and the photos and videos can directly be tranfered to computer!

also please tell me can external lenses be attatched to these cameras

what are the cameras called that perform both functions!

  • if you take the digital camera out side and its cold out side like 30 blow will it kill the camera

  • type 370157830255 in the ebay search box for the new, revolutionary, compact, cutting edge 9 in 1 youtube camcorder. a must own for all youtubers! it has many bids on it already. dont let it get away. take a look at my profile and video presentation about this amazing technological revolution. come take a look, you'll be glad you did!

  • I agree the wheel is easier to use for adjustment, i got cannon power shot but drop it and broke it. Now i got Nikon coolpix and i did'nt enjoy using it because it takes time to adjust with its button system!

The explanation is an additional info to make better pictures... thank you!

  • apature?

  • wait whats a camera..............?

  • LESSON 1: this is a camera

    we know stupid!

  • well, the gal saying made it cute though..

    :D

  • Very good, this will help me making better pics

  • Logan is awesome, but he quit :(

  • thank god! lol

  • THis was a great video, im getting my d200 soon and i needed to know this! THANKS LOGAN

  • very informative

  • Logan's is pretty cool guy, eh uses cameras and doesn't afraid of anything.

No, seriously, this is a very helpful tutorial for beginners when it comes to photography. Not only do they learn the rather universal modes of a compact camera, but they learn the meanings of fundamental photographic terms, like aperture, shutter speed and ISO. :)

    Yes, great video.

  • Wow. I'm considering getting a camera these days. This video came in the right time. Thank you very much.

  • Eureka!!! Finally somebody have simplified those creeptic terminologies in photography. I never had any idea how simple simple ISO, aperture and shutter speed could be. I read the manual now a few times but it's only now after hearing it from this video that I was able to figure out how they work and affect my photos. Many thanks!!!

  • dude, im glad my dad sent me this video thru AOL. i tend to goof around w/ the color settings on my camera and take pics of stuff w/ diff color sett. sadly, i have to go thru a menu on my Nikon. lol

  • THIS... IS... AWESOME!!!!! (no sparta here :P)

I always wondered what those symbols on the top meant, but i never wanted to search/read pages and pages of info.

Thank you soooooo much logan and TigerTV!!

  • is that how it will lok like

  • you have a pretty wife logan...i envy you!

  • PS:

I believe that "girl" is his wife.

Figuring by a couple of other videos together with this one.

So BACK OFF, or he'll "PWN YOUR AZZ"... ya he's insane... XD

    :P

  • This is a very helpful video.

I wish there were more with Logan giving sort of Tutorials like this...

    Are there?

By the way, I mean on anything kind of technically complicated like this.

But especially for digital photography. :)

I still can't figure out some things, even by reading the manual 100 times.

    I'm tired of it... literally...

I've been reading booklets and PDFs for hours, but some things are just NOT clear.

  • ok, so the higher the aperture, the more blurred the background will be? or is it the other way around?

  • Yes, the higher the aperture, the lower the depth of field (the more blurred the background will be). The high aperture is associated with lower f-stops. I know, it's confusing. I'm learning a little bit of the TECHNICAL side of photography, too. =P

  • Thank you so very much.

  • Great video! Very informative. Same here, I have never used any of those settings. I never knew what ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture are. Now since I ordered Olympus E-510 and getting it today, I started to read on this stuff. Nice video again, as always by tigerdirect. Thanks!

  • She's HOT!!

  • She not all that. Thanks logan very good 101 and a good video reference . A good one to save for later. I plan on getting my camera soon.

  • he's a good speaker that's wut i think lol....

  • Great video.

  • If he spoke slower, I could understand more xD But good video!

  • This is really helpfull. I have a cannon and have never used anything on my "Wheel" but the video and automatic. Now I might can get out and do some experimenting.

  • i like the music intro

  • wait wait wait, where'd that hot girl go at the beginning?....get rid of the guy and put in the girl!!!

  • Who is that beautiful girl in the beginning of the video, please so enlighten me if I am being a noob?

  • good video

  • how do u balance between shutter speed and the lighting.. for example, when he was taking the picture of the waterfall with a fast shutter speed, wouldn't it be too dark??

  • When you set the shutter speed, you need to compensate the aperture; it will need to be set at the proper f-stop so the proper exposure is there. Also when you set the ISO to a different ISO setting the shutter speed and aperture (F Stop) will be different to compensate for proper exposure. If you have a DSLR, the exposure meter is in the view finder, just adjust till it is in the middle.

  • that's why flash is for, use a tripod should be your solutiom. set iso to 400 or 800.

  • Thank you for posting this. Great help!

  • Its good that he stayed with the canon for showing stuff!

    I hate nikon so much

  • why you hate nikon? I just want to know. I'm actually rooting for that one..

  • great help!!!!

  • Great video! Good expiations.

  • thanks!

  • ur a cool ass kat bro an ur wife is hooot luky guy u

  • Throw away the point and shoot camera because it is CRAP...get yourself a digital slr.

  • I use both... sometimes you can't carry around a massive camera... so it's good to know how to get good pics out of a compact camera. I use the DSLR 90% of the time though... watch for my video on them soon.

  • gruesome -.-

  • Logan is such a cat!

  • Good informations

  • first view and rating wooooooow!!!!
