Most southerners don't, but people in Tampa Bay do. I live in Daytona Beach, Florida, and hockey's been life. Ever since I was seven, I have loved the Lightning, who sucked at that time. Real cities that should not have teams are Phoenix, and Dallas, and Atlanta, which went so well the first time around with the Flames... that's why they moved to Calgary. I think I saw a section of empty seats behind the defending Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes bench a week ago.
2004 Stanley Cup Champion hockey team, as well as the Superbowl XXXVII Champion Buccaneers. Why shouldn't Tampa have pro teams? It may not be a NY or LA, but it is a major metropolitan area, deserving of such.

Rangers have serious problems right now. I am a huge Rangers fan, but we continue to blow 3rd period leads, have no defense, and outside of Jagr and Shanny no offense.
