Me ofrezco a traducir correctamente.

  • the British took a combination of luck and a focus on seafaring to build a big empire out of lands stolen from brown people.

But their empire's gone now. Once they faced total war, they had to mortgage it all. They still got to write the history, but the reality is they were as evil as the Nazis.

  • @kozmon0t "...the reality is they were as evil as the Nazis."

Your youth does not forgive your ignorance.

Do your history, get some perspective on life, and then come back and post your opinions.

  • @kozmon0t Of course, Bringing modern democracy and an end to slavery first and foremost to begin with right

  • @1MagicAndMayhem1 You make an excellent point. And, in my experience, Spanish people are a lot of fun. Me gusta mucho...si no puedo hablar espanol muy bien!

  • Is it just me or do you guys also think that the british are romantizing all their battles.

They are even trying to hide what they did to theiur African colonies.

The Zulu war forexample the British are making the Zulus apear as the evil, when actually the Zulus where the guys defending their homes.

Spain, France, Germany etc have the same problems. The British are talking shit about Napoleon, when Napoleon in fact only started two of the 7 napoleonic wars.

    (The british started 3)

  • @VictumRoManius Learn to distinguise between life and the reality of the situation at that time in history

  • @VictumRoManius" Is it just me or do you guys also think that the british are romantizing all their battles." Yes. You are 100% correct. We do this...I'm English born and bred...

  • HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA AND THE ENGLISHMEN LAUGH AT THE VICTORY AGAINST THE INVENCIBLE ARMADA... THATS WHAT HAPPEN TO THE BIGHEADS!!!

THE REVENGE TIME CAME WITH A VERY BIG HUMILIATION FOR THE STUPID SHAPELESS TEETH!!! HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH

  • @3oPPaZ Hijo de la pérfida albion...

  • @3oPPaZ You're right, we English have done a whole lot of laughing about whipping Spanish butt in battle...you've given us a huge amount of entertainment ever since The "Armada"*, when your galleons turned tail and ran, out of fear.

    * non-Armada is more like it, though

  • @eveoradam At least we dont hide the sad part of our history... you do with yours, that make it more humilliant.

there are a lot of pathetic fails for the english against the spanish : ) you should check out back your history even the hide one : )

and the victory against spanish armada was a very lucky for you, the weather won the battle : ) and thanks to holland attacking the harbours of spain in flandes

as felipe II said: i didnt come to fight against the elements

  • @3oPPaZ Maybe he should have checked the weather before he sailed.

  • @3oPPaZ "there are a lot of pathetic fails for the english against the spanish"

You are right about that: England 496, Spain 9

  • @3oPPaZ Why did Spain wait 300 hundred years to get back?

  • european assholes claiming and fighting for stolen lands doesn't even belong to any of them...its all NATIVE land

  • @gadariparty like every population in the world. Who decides which land owns to who? Chinese conquering other places? Mongolian invading other places? Why just "european assholes"? Quit your stupid sayings please, or at least, try to think before posting and polluting youtube.

  • The British trying to hide fact about history.... not.....

  • @Jabthecat

    Yes.

  • @manolobeach i was sarcastic..

  • @manolobeach Yes, British dogs!!!

  • @Jabthecat Yes, they did.

  • @Jabthecat common guys... im just sarcastic!

  • @Jabthecat Yes

  • @Jabthecat Yes, all the time. It's documented fact. Do you honestly believe the king would want the news of this terrible and harsh disgrace to be printed and spread? I don't think so. Also he ordered that anyone who would print and spread this information should receive the death sentence and die by hanging. They have manipulated history many times.

  • hahaa, that's the music from The Man in the Iron Mask lol

  • @MrFloppy19

    is related...

  • I really wanted to watch this, but how some of the sentances are phrased is terrible. Like it was done in a rush and not given thought. Sort it out or take it down!

  • A few incorrect facts in the video, but relatively true, we were defeated there right?

  • @1MagicAndMayhem1

which fact is incorrect? I know a fact that is incorrect.

     you speak first ...

  • @manolobeach You dont understand the term defeat, Learn to distinguish the objective of the battle against the outcome

  • @1MagicAndMayhem1

British objective was to seize Cartagena (Spanish Pearl.)

once conquered the square. the British had controlled all trade and had cut the main artery of the Spanish empire in South America. the port where all the treasures out of America to Spain from Peru. once conquered this. trade would have been yours, and the British invasion to the south would have been inevitable.

  • @1MagicAndMayhem1 Clearly it was a British defeat. After all, you had to win one or two battles over 500 years, even if it was only luck.

  • @manolobeach TENIA Q SER ESPANOL ESTE IMBECIL DESCEREBRADO , TUS INSULTOS Y COMENTARIOS NO TIENEN EL MENOR SENTIDO, HASTE REVISAR LA CABEZA POR UN PSIQUIATRA, ESTUPIDO IGNORANTE .

  • INGLATERRA DA DOLOR,ASCO Y PENA

  • Malaria: This disease is mainly by infected female mosquitoes, also hit by logica Spaniards even more than the British because we were on land.

  • Comment removed

  • if you do not know gibraltar felipe V ceded in the Treaty of Utrecht in exchange for Havana, menorca and honduras. LoL ...

    ¡6000 men in 6 boats! jajajajaja ...

1000 men per boat of the time!

you are putting more men in a boat in the eighteenth century that a current carrier V / STOL. jajaja ...

the sailors had only 6 boats, the figure could be slightly more than 100 sailors who managed to download the artillery to take advantage of the strong.

  • Where do you draw the "real" numbers of troops?

The numerical superiority of the British was undisputed,

and their excuse is that many stayed on the boat ...

What do you think the guns are fired from ships?, Shoot alone?

I ask that cartagena suffered a barrage of 60 days.

another reason is the British disease, do you know which diseases are?

  • 2nd - The scurvy: is a vitamin deficiency caused by a deficiency of vitamin C. It was common in seamen subsisted on diets that contained no fresh fruit or vegetables, was recognized more than two centuries ago by British naval physicians that prevented or cured by adding lime juice to the diet.

(if you know not to bring supplies getting into a war ...)

  • Not a word about spanish officials arresting armless british sailors - i.e. the cause of the war

  • the cause of war is for control of sea routes and trade with America.

the excuse used by the British to declare war was to cut the ear to pirate JENKINS.

and the famous phrase "go and tell your king that I will do the same thing as if it dares"

the British found it an excuse to try and snatch the Spanish empire in America.

  • this war is compltely forgotten in all history books, That' really stupid because after that victory English was obliged to qyuit Meditranean sea and spanish can conquest southern Italy

  • @sacroppo That's because they are attempting to withhold the truth about many events that actually occurred in history.. U.K. U.S. Canada it's all the same to me..just all that Anglo-Saxon dominance... Notice how these countries are mostly the ones that fck up the world and mess with other nations affairs..Think about it..take them out of the picture and I guarantee you the world would be a much better peaceful place...that is until another power comes and fcks it up ;)

  • @sacroppo You probably already know this, but I'm not quite fond of the british (specifically the english, excluding the Scottish and Irish....I'm Spanish btw

  • @TopAce777 "but I'm not quite fond of the british, specifically the english" I don't think you are being 100% honest here...there are some VERY cute English girls...and, I think, if one of them smiled at you, you would learn very quickly how to be "fond" of the English

  • @eveoradam Hmm I must admit you have a good point. ;)

  • @manolobeach but they got their asses kicked really bad!!!!

  • @manolobeach the spanish brought the war on themselves, merchants from colonies all over the americas hated the spanish. Jenkins wasn't a pirate, pirates had been destroyed in the Americas. The Spanish were trying to control all trade, they boarded ships with no right to do so. spanish were fucking pigs

  • @jed371

the British were not much better in the nineteenth century ... Genocide in Australia. Opium War in China. abuse in India. South African disaster. Racism ... cartagena all the Viceroyalty of Peru and was always loyal to the crown. even during the war of independence. the only damage to Spain was to England that allowed him to trade. and England responded with pirates and the royal navy.

  • @manolobeach you complain about britain but the spanish were hated by everyone, they burnt merchant ships with sailors still on them, and you wonder why spain lost control of the trade in americas. the spanish destoyed and plundered south america, and wiped out whole civilisations just like the british did. look at south america now, the richest part of america in resources, but its one of the most corrupt and poorest parts of the world

  • @jed371 There are many legends about it ... civilizations of South America was in itself destructive. the Spanish when they came to America were just a few hundred thousand Indian troops and allied themselves with us, why not put up with the tyranny and the sacrifices of the Inca empire. people always want to sell the Indians were a peaceful civilization that destroyed the Spanish.

  • @jed371 but the reality is that many Indians are allied with us to end the tyranny of the Inca empire. the only Spanish wanted gold.

  • @jed371 that would make the South Americans after independence is something that serves them right.

once independent should have followed the same system to keep South American Spanish in 3 great viceroys. instead. bolivar divided it all. produced many corrupt countries soon changed every ruling by riots and promoted hatred among them.

  • @jed371 hmm......

  • You must say corsairs and English pirates isn´t it?

I remember you that in that seas there were a lot of pirates so all the ships were armed, all.

  • @Albinoni1 Jenkins was arrested as a smmugler. British could only commerce one ship cargo a year with spanish colonies, it was called "el barco de asiento", and came from Utrecth Treaty. He was trying to commerce outside the treaty, so the capture was completely right under the law of both countries.

  • @Lathspell77 Nemo me impune lacessit You can look it up

  • Awesome video. 5 stars.
